Once there was a millionaire, who collected live alligators. He kept them in the pool in back of his mansion. The millionaire also had a beautiful daughter who was single.
One day, the millionaire decides to throw a huge party, and during the party he announces, "My dear guests, I have a proposition to every man here. I will give one million dollars, or my daughter, to the man who can swim across this pool full of alligators and emerge unharmed!" As soon as he finished his last word, there was the sound of a large splash in the pool. The guy in the pool was swimming with all his might, and the crowd began to cheer him on. Finally, he made it to the other side of the pool unharmed.
The millionaire was impressed. He said, "That was incredible! Fantastic! I didn't think it could be done! Well, I must keep my end of the bargain. Do you want my daughter or the one million dollars?" The guy catches his breath, then says, "Listen, I don't want your money! And I don't want your daughter! I want the asshole who pushed me in the pool!" -
Thanx Wahine, you know that dispenser of fukitols seemed to help. I need one to keep around the house, haha. Karen-I'm feeling better, just heard some things I def didn't want to hear from the latest PS interview. It is what it is,no sense in feeling like chit over something you can't change. So w/that i'm ready to par-tay! Goldie-didn't page back but think you asked if I had kids. Yes,I call him DH. He's all the kid I can handle. Okay back to listening to music and packing/cleaning. Need more likker for that task, cheers!
-
UCRebel, bummed you're feeling bummed, if there is anything you need to help, let us know, K? Did you like the PS, just not the info?
Think I am gonna need some fukitols today too, another sleepless night, so hoping the Effexor I just started begins to help with hot flashes!
So DorKy, the limo will pick Stella up this morning, gonna take her shopping this afternoon, den a manicure and pedicure with Mrs_Vino, we taking the UFO, see you around 3 or so Allison! We will be back for dinner and hot tubbing later!
Cheers -
Really had me ROFLMAO at the yoke, Bernie Baby!
Scoobs, Glad you will enjoy Stella Bella, and sounds like she will have a blast being with you!
Ohhhhhhh sooooo much fun on de beeeeeutifool beach! Tanx for inviitin us up eurly, Beans! You have some awesome kites to play wid. Wese will all have FUN and den get teeny tiny to be wid ya tomorrow.
Ok, woke up wid another one, and using warm compress, but while I dwink some strong likker, had to write sumtin.....
Oh my, I have a stye
Right at the edge of my eye!
It hurts like heck
But I'm not a tech,
So I'll just sit here and cry!
LOL, not really crying, but best word I could find. It is supposed to storm today, but need to take my mom shopping, as now we need speakers for dad's new computer. Why didn't the salesperson tell us that???? I mean we were with him for a long time and I kept asking if all I had to do was connect everything and plug it in. Maybe the orig bundle had a monitor w/ speakers, I don't know, but we upgraded to a bigger one, and that salesman should have known! He did know we were replacing a laptop, which obviously has built-in speakers. Sheesh! My dad gets so impatient, so last night when I took my headset over and realized the computer does have sound, this is the soonest I can buy the speakers. He keeps reminding me he is 95, and I let him know I am doing things as fast as I can! When we were having dwinks, I just asked who would like to go shopping with me, and my mom quickly said "I do!"! LOL.
Scoobs, I hate it that you could not sleep. Hope you can hold up all day and get some good sleep tonight! I was going to try effexor, but I forget which side effect I didn't want....maybe weight gain? BUT now my hot flashes have toned down a lot, and usually in the middle of the night, I turn on the ceiling fan. Wake up a few times, even though I take the TR melatonin every night, but can go right back to sleep. So, no complaints there. I DO remember having it much worse, and hate that you, and some others here, are going through that. (((hugs)))
Have a good day, Girls! So many dr appts, etc with the girlz here, tomorrow. Hope to keep up with everyone!
HUgsssssssssssssssssssssss,
K-stye

Good morning, Loungettes! Was expecting a full moon type weekend, but it turned out to be pretty tame. Some craziness, but there's always going to be some of that.

Bernie--Cute boys! I like the Jack and Daniel names for them.

Beanie--enjoy your trip! Be sure to check in when you get there and make us all jealous!

Wahine--Don't you just love computer set up stuff? Always, always takes longer than planned!

Mema--Having fun with the grandbabies must be a wonderful thing! It is so much fun to see the world through a child's eyes. I "rent" my friends' kids occasionally so I can go do kiddy stuff, so much fun!

Bermie--how about Cab and Sav for the boys? Or Harley and David? Oops, we got trumped by the 6 year old! 6 year olds always win!
My favs:
Wine: merlot
Food: pizza, roast beast with gravy
Color: blue
Group: Celtic Woman
Singer: no one fav, like lots and lots of sigers
Hobbies: gardening, kayaking, wine making, crocheting, reading
Motorbike: don't know nutthin about theses
Saying:DorKable--You really take your work seriously! Sign of a true professional. I'm sure you will get it all straightened out in the am. A good night's sleep is a great fixer of things.

Chrissy--did you ever find out what got put in your coffee? Sounds like something I want to try!

Goldie--Glad the talk went well. It would be kind of interesting to go to a Preparedness Fair, wouldn't it?

Mrs. Vino--would you like your clueless DH to get a kick in the behind? I'd be glad to "enlighten" him for you!

Undy--There's portable Fukitol dispensers behind the bar, just ask one of the tenders, he'll top it off and carry it for you!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Time Changer
1 1/2 oz Citrus Vodka
1/2 oz Sprite

3 oz Soda Water
3/4 oz Sweet and Sour MixDirections
Add all ingredients except lemon to shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake vigorously. Strain contents into ice filled collins glass. -

In tribute for the two ladies on the TNS forum, sadly passed.
In the rising of the sun and its going down,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
In the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends
WE REMEMBER THEM.
When we are lost and sick at heart,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
When we have joys we yearn to share,
WE REMEMBER THEM.
As long as we live, they too shall live,
For they are now a part of us.
WE REMEMBER THEM. -
So sad, Bernie. Very nice remembrance you posted. (((hugs)))

So sad when we loose a sister (or brother) to the rat b!!!!!!!....The lounge seems quiet tonight.....watching Mike and Molly....and the mother (who is played by the funny red head...whose same just escaped me)...says don't bother me, I'm trying to get drunk!!!! wish I could remember the line exactly, but I got the last part correct....that should be our line!!!!
Spring is here in the Rockies....70's all week....
Got to get off the computer....need to do my homework for my class that is tomorrow....it was due last night......Will try to be back later!!!!
-
Showing up for the roll call, have my honey JD ready to toast. Toasting to being alive and wishing us all good health. Cheers all!
-
Hey Dork, cover your eyes! Ya missed me and now I'm swingin a sharp stick to poke with!
Am sad tonight too at the passing of two BC sisters from the TN thread. Always a shock and then just days apart. The first angel, Laura Jane, died on her birthday. I just cannot fathom it. The other, Suze35, was so fortunate to have just gone on a Disney cruise with her family. Then just a few weeks later she too is angel in the sky. So unfair. And selfishly, now scares me to death. Bernie, thanks for posting the poem. Very touching and appropriate. Have been crabby all evening and poor DH is getting the brunt of my misplaced anger and fear. I know he wishes I would not be on here so much, but I got all my BC sistahs and me!! Even when not posting, I do try to read every day. Pour me a drink boys, in memory and honor of our newest angels. -
had a drink to the memory of our newest angels, praying there will be no more. here's to a long and healthy life to all . thanks for the group hug ,i think we all needed it tonight
-
The lounge is quiet this morning...can't beleive that I'm the first one here....just popping in before work to wish everyone a good day

-
I am glad to see this thread, too. I've always had a penchant for good wines and had to give it up during chemo - largely wine tasted like vinegary crap, no matter how expensive it was.
Now that chemotherapy is over and my taste buds seem to be back to normal, I am happily resuming what I now call "Vino Therapy." -
i like your thinking charles!
good morning all -
Unde, sorry to hear you are in the fukitol mood these days, but had to laugh at your kid. I think most of us have one of "those kind of kids". Hope you are able to shake it off.
Scuby, sounds like you and Stella are having a good time. Maybe you are mellowing her out?
Chop chop Wawa, get dem darn speakers, eh? J/K....I have my laptop to plug in to a huge screen. I lub it! And indeed, so much fun on da beach at da Beans. I can't tell you when the last time was that I flew a kite. So glad you brought those.
NM, glad your weekend was uneventful (for the most part). How are you feeling now? Preparedness fair, interesting? Could be, but I find the people ever more so! I am thinking now, that my new friend belongs to this "group". And I'm afraid I may have said some things poking fun at the thought of it. Hindsight, ya know! Yikes. Too funny, you offering to enlighten MrV......LOL.
Juliet, one certainly can not complain about losing weight! Bummer bout the cholesterol tho, I deal with that as well. Just love the SE's we have to deal with. Prior to BC I was in perfect health, now I am a mess!
Oh Dorkiest, doze people do not nose you and what a wonderful person you truly are, and a funny one at dat. Don't take it personally.
Beans, just leave to you to put a play on the favorites. You iz so smart and you iz funny too. Wishing you all the bestest of the bestest today and I hope you were able to sleep last night. Me iz here wif you, fighting wif Stella, she won't share the wodka.
Mema, with you too today as I believe you have sum pointments too.
Sorry to hear of the loss of two sisters. May their families find peace.
I am still a page behind, so will try to sneak in later. Couldn't post yesterday, broad band width was still down. Today is BETTER.
Hugs and lots of luv to me Breasties
