LOL ... and thinking the Mods made a good call on locking things down exactly when they did.  The good discussion had been pushed off the track and run over.

The lioness seems to be in a very good humor today ... Wink

Cross posted with rosemary ... are you already on antibiotics ... I hope?

No antibiotics. I can't get in to see the pulmonologist and the new PCP gave me the lecture on taking too many antibiotics. I was going to give her a year but I don't know. When I got in my car I thought so she's not concerned about a pulse-ox of 93 and then I went home and upped all the asthma meds. I feel a tiny bit better every day but no strep, please.

Glad to entertain - lol! (Not half as entertaining as I am entertained, mind you. 'Obama is taking away my Faslodex'? Really??)

    Get better Rosemary.

My mind just shuts down when I see so much cut and paste. I can appreciate a difference of opinion, in someone's own words, but endless articles cut and pasted make my eyes glaze over.

Oh, Anne!  I'll summarize for you:

Obamacare is Satan!  The sky is falling!

Teachers are overpaid, government workers are lazy, and birth control pills caused the black plague.

I think that about sums it up.

News Flash:  Satan Terminates His Relationship with Limbaugh

    That's just funny!

Clapping paws together in JOY and laughter for Athena, and Scoot.  Great summary.  Just perfect. Some folks who keep not posting seem to keep posting, giving deep thanks for the Ignore Button - and just love how the Lion handles it so perfectly.

BUT, our fearless Lion, ya' forgot sunspots.  I'm sure they're doing some of it.

Barbara, I think the thread is still there - what vitriol...whew.  Again, thanks to the Perfect Roar.

I made the link hot for you Scoot.  That article cracked me up, especially the little quip about Romney.

Hope everyone has a great day,

I like the condensed version of that thread so much better!! Funny seeing old names and sock puppets coming out of the woodwork...

After 2 days of sun and 60s, we're foggy and icy today. No reason to leave the house, so it's Pilates, a little jewelry making, and a good book for me today. And a pot of chili for supper.

    Carry on!

Anne .. that sounds like a perfect day.  I think we'll hit the low 60's today and the sun is trying to stay out.

I wasn't going to respond, but...........

First of all, I have just as much right as you to post.  I am a member of this board.  AND, the only reasoning I'm posting on this "private" thread is you called out my name.

As far as "original" thought goes.....How about some facts, ladies.  Does that upset you.  I didn't copy and paste entire articles.  As you can see I posted the links so you could read more if you so CHOSE.  F-A-C-T-S are a good thing.

BTW, we do get PMs.  Thus, we know what's going on.

I'm done with this subject.  And, the mods had the last say.  NOT ME!  I was not going to post another word on that thread if the mods had not locked it.  I said all I needed to say.

BTW again.  I believe some of you have said you weren't going to post anymore or have had your membership deleted and then came back.  Just saying.

    Bonne journée

    Howdy y'all

I got up at 10:00 and am going to sew. I won't get as much done as I thought I would but I really needed the sleep. Last night at midnight I was up planning my sewing but I have got enough for a looong time. I always seem to think I can do more than I can. When I am done I will have a new skirt.(There are about 10 other projects). I am decicing if I should do the skirt from start to finish or just cut out a bunch of stuff. I usually cut on one day and sew on anoher but I don't feel like I have accomplished anything lately.

I do need to get a pattern for a dress I am making my granddaughter and mail the electric bill, which I forgot.Arghhh

    Tuna for dinner. Nothing fancy.

Sunny and windy here, and the temp is a magnificent 62F.....this has surely not been The Winter of My Discontent!

Off to the Hospital for my annual mammo and U/S this afternoon.  Trying really, really hard to keep anxiety at bay (you know.....).  Hospital instituted a policy several months ago of keeping all waiting rooms clear of magazines, newspapers etc. to combat spread of infection....so, guess I'll take my e-reader and continue Tina Fey's "Bossypants" - giggle giggle!

One good thing about the DIEP is that I don't have to have mammos anymore.  I just see the breast surgeon once a year, and if she feels anything suspicious, she sends me off for an MRI.  I never minded mammos to begin with, but it is one less thing to have to keep track of.

I've made appointments with 2 gyn surgeons to talk about having the ovaries and tubes out.  I'm going to go with the one I like best.  I've found that is very important, having had indifferent experiences with 2 oncs now.

I'm also putting a bunch of my CDs on my computer so I can fill up my MP3 players, which I call "music sticks."  They are not iPods -- too expensive for me -- but Sansa MP3 players.  I love playing with my music!

    Have a good day, ladies!

    Hi Everyone!

I'm being so lazy today.  Woke up with a sinus headache and still haven't gotten dressed.

Linda .. best of luck to you today.  When will you get the results?

Happy .. I had my ovaries and uterus out at different times.  I didn't hit menopause until the docs took away my HRT when I was diagnosed.

Rosemary .. You sound pretty industrious to me!

Rabbit .. Going to be a nice day here today .. would be even better if I got dressed and walked the dogs!

Shirley .. Nice to see you.

    hugs all round,

    Bren

It's in the sixties here and I have not done much with the sewing. I guess I should get dressed and run my errands and then sew. I am really trying to ignore the mess here. Asthma means I don't want to clean and expose myself to stirred up dust and more dust means more asthma. Oh well, this too will pass.

Dang. There was a big sunspot explosion and now there are going to be "Northern Lights" all the way down to the Gulf Coast states tonight. So... where we are, we'll have thick clouds and rain through the weekend.

Y'all go outside and look at them for me, 'kay?

Otter .. what time should we be looking outside?

Rosemary .. it's in the mid 60's here too, and I've opened up a bunch of windows.  Of course the wind is blowing stirring up all kinds of dust.  I'd just skip the cleaning if I was you.  Don't want to stir the dust up.

    hugs,

    Bren

Rosemary - hope youre keeping a close eye on your asthma - it can be really tricky!  We're in line for a really bad allergy season this Spring.  With 6 inches of snow on the ground, it's 65 outside.  The world  has gone very stange..

Barbara - what kind of jewelry do you make????

Just checking back in while my computer is copying music -- I'll put dozens of earworms in everyone's head!  Joni Mitchell's album "Court and Spark" ("Free Man in Paris," "Help Me" ...) -- I wore out two of those in college.  Beach Boys "Endless Summer"  ... Indigo Girls, Kate Wolf, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart ("Maggie May" brings back memories of sitting in the high school cafeteria before school eating freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies, drinking milk and listening to the jukebox in the cafeteria -- the kitchen staff sold us the fresh cookies as soon as they baked them -- yum!).  George Michael, Sting, Joan Baez, Christine Lavin, the Buckinghams, the Lovin' Spoonful, CCR, Bobby Darin, the Grass Roots, the Monkees ... take your pick and start singing along!  Laughing

    Sunny and warm here too.

HL - I would add The Doors and Simon and Garfu.kel to your list.

Rosemary - lol. You sound as though you would benefit from an ADHD coach. BTW there are some great web sites that some find helpful: www.flylady.net is one.

I don't see any Steve on your list, HL.  How about U2, Dave Matthews Band, 30 Seconds to Mars?
