Sure, Bren, an overnight would work fine. There's baseball to be seen in Baltimore and, of course, lots to see in DC. Hotels are plentiful and within a 15 minute drive.
-
Back from the doc - he says what I describe is definitely sciatic pain. Doesn't think it's mets at all but rather down to my osteoarthritis and my chronic back trouble. So, I'll just have to hope it goes away by next Wednesday when I see the onc for my Zometa. Meanwhile I'll keep going to the physio. He gave me tomorrow off too - hehe - I do have lots of sick leave saved up from when I was on income protection.
BLUE - we miss you!!!! I was thinking about you this morning - hope you're OK.

Let's definitely have a day in DC. Could we reserve a restaurant or venue. I'd love to arrange it. Maybe with an historic tour of my "hood" (and a walk though the courtyard of my building) followed by a trip to the mall and summer drinks at the sculpture garden with jazz bands...
Anyone's mouths water yet?
Bar announcement:
--Covertanjou is having an MRI and needs support.
--I started a comments thread asking people what they found offensive.
---First drink is free!

(((CovertAnjou))) Scanxiety SUCKS! Hoping the results will be puncuated with yawns!
Hit me with a G2 & tequila, please!
-
You are the best! I have been away, and you are still being nice to me!
Hello to all of you! I haven't been posting for a while, but I do check in once in a while. I will be coming here more often....I miss you all.
Love and hugs to all of you!
-
Why on earth would anyone eat Pringles LIGHT??????
My view on NOTL is that it won't be NOTL if it's in DC or MD - not that I have anything against the southern location except that the weather in the summer there is unbearable for this Canuck (who spent 25 years trying to get out of the southern U.S. during the summer) - besides which I am thinking I'll be in DC this year sometime because I feel a march coming on - I can feel it in my bones.
-
Covertanjou - hope you end up being really boring

-
I hope for boring too.
I don't mind DC in the summer. My sister-in-law lives in Maryland. NOTL sounds good too, as long as one was in say June and the other in August,
-
Covertanjou .. thinking of you and hoping for an unremarkable scan!
hugs,
Bren

Wherever we meet we should have a banner made with the guest list using everyone's name and avatar - wonder if that could be done. Or screen name and signature....
-
Morning Everyone!
The sun is shining today. But it's still cold .. in the mid 50's today. Hope we're headed for a warming trend.
Did any of you see the "Obamacare" thread in the insurance forum? I wanted to post something over there, but thought better of it. It's an anecdotal account of how older Stage IV patients will be denied Faslodex and Zometa under Obamacare.
Athena .. Maybe we could make our own banner and have everyone sign it. We can have a little art project when we get together!
Hope everyone has a great day,
Bren
-
I saw that too, Bren. Interesting that it was the only post the poster made. Joined today and posted it.
-
I've waded into the discussion there, now I'm backing out......
Mary
-
I can't let sleeping crap lie. I posted.
-
I'm tired -- I'll just get some popcorn.
-
I just got back from faxing my loan docs and took another look. I am so tempted to post over there.
Happy .. I found it odd as well that the "Obamacare" thread was the poster's first post on this forum. Very strange indeed.
It's just more fear mongering in my opinion.
Keep your fingers crossed that my refi goes through!
hugs all round,
Bren
-
No need to fear-monger if you think you're on the winning team! On the other hand........
-
Yep, let's get everyone riled up for the elections with mis-information. It's a time-honored tradition.
-
Well .. it is Super Tuesday. Going to be fun to see how things shake out today!
Bren
-
Oh, that nonsese. I was about to make a comment about how so, so many devices in possumland and San Francisco were used for BCO, but maybe it's happening from elsewhere too, as Scoot has said. I just posted my bit of wisdom. I urge others to follow in the nonsense poetry. Maybe if we try hard enough we can twist things as much as Rush Limbaugh has. Let's just post silliness. Honestly. The deleter-in-chief is already there anyway.
-
Did I do something? I come back to BCO and "Obamacare" pops up! Athena your comments made me spit my coffee all over the screen.,,,LOL.
Can't wait to see how long before posts start getting reported
-
Full moon is on Thursday ....
-
Ohy, I'm playing with fire, Mary - lol! Yeah - superTuesday.
-
Between the upcoming full moon and Super Tuesday .. things have gone crazy!
Yep .. the deleters in chief are active today. Can't help but wonder how long before certain posts get deleted on that thread. Daisy has gone off on a tangent and left the original topic .. my oh my.
Athena .. you crack me up!
Hope everyone is having a good day!
Bren
-
Oh, man. Possumland is lighting up.
-
LOL...
-
Well .. it didn't take long for that thread to get shut down. And it was so much fun to read!
Athena .. you tickle me today!
Covert ... what's going on with your scans?
hugs,
Bren
-
YOU ALL SPELLED IT WRONG - now listen, it is..
OBAMACARES. PLURAL. CARES. OBAMACARES. OBAMACARES. Cuz he does.
And I know Scoot said it, but I'm claiming it too - not letting sleeping crap lie. Not going to whatever thread it's on - too much fun watching advertisers leaving a certain radio show. Never listened to it, but won't be able to - only station around here in the Berkshires CANCELS it.
New motto, without a doubt - not letting sleeping crap lie. Thanks, scoot.
-
Well thanks to Shirley for that nice thread ending - love you too as they say. I will adjust my settings. My head was spinning with the non sequitors so thank you in earnest to the mods.
-
I am so sorry the topic was closed. I was waiting until I got home from work to post on it.
I think that last post on that thread was delivered "shrilly". It was interesting to hear from soooo many people whom I have not seen in a while.
The grandson with whom I shared a bucket of popcorn at the movies on Saturday now has strep. Children are just little petri dishes. Since I already have a cold and asthma I do no need his germs. Where is Blue with her evil eye.
And yes Sunflowers Obamacares!
