Tiedye - Reading back a ways...so sorry bout the oral thrush. I battled that all through chemo and my nurse kept telling me it would get better when my immune system got back to normal. It did get better and I'm sure yours will too. If you want any details about what worked for me send me a PM and I'd be happy to share, but really it didn't clear up until chemo ended, it was just a matter of daily battling it. Shoot, reading your dx at first I was so happy to see atypia, but then there was the carcinoma part too. I know that atypia is not cancer but could develop into cancer over time. I'm not much help with any of the other part. I had stage 2 IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma). Rat B*stard.
Goldie - loved your Valentine poem, thank you! BTW how are the allergies? It's way too early for mine to kick in yet as it is dumping snow still. Love your 1 yr hair pics too, but you is too pwetty to be a bozo! Thanks for all the wunnerful DOTDs too!
NM -. I was sorry to read about your bad experience with no consult before procedure and that you're thinking of skipping the scope & colonoscopy...I hope you will look for another better doctor cuz that one sounds screwed in the head. Also sorry to read about your mom, I thought she was doing well after surgery but now readmitted? Wahine's prescription is right on, relaxation for you. You have been under so much stress.
K de D - thank goodness your biopsy was negative for cancer and bacteria! Yay! And yippee that you get to dwink a widdle bit again!
ADorKable - So happy to hear about your raise at woyk! And darn I missed another lamp shade party...loved all the pics!!!
Bernie - love the jokes, so many good ones. LOL at the sleeping pup!
Scuby - great news you will be staying green in Philly.
Karen - LOL at the living will!
Mema - OMG about dat Orth and getting stuck so bad, ouch! Crazy doctor is right!
Mrs V - Love the Merf name for MRFF, cute!
Unde - wow, what a story about the trash bag and your slip on the pineapple and all...so glad you didn't get that aquarium on your head. Love the scissors story too and I'm a soul mate, once when my folks were having a dinner party I got scissors and cut me some real short, crooked bangs!
Husker - good idea not to ski after neck surgery. I go out for a little XC skiing, but I am so darn careful anymore and there is no one else around. Since I had rads on one side they said my ribs could be more prone to breaking so I have to be so careful with my bod. Loved the devil sock monkey pic!
Chrissy - great to see ya pop in da bar!
NM - Happy Birthday Sweet NM Princess Glitter Sizzle! I am so happy you got born a few years back there and I'm so lucky to have met you here at the HTL. Thank you so much for all your super fantastic, great, fun, heartfelt posts and rants and for your understanding so well about our posts and rants. Here's to many more years of soap box rants and good drinks! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Foyst here is a joke for you:
A man was disturbing a nurse by asking lame questions every now and then, he asked, "How can I lose twelve pounds of ugly fat?
Nurse: "Cut your head off."
Now some wed woses:

Some wed wine:

A pwetty wed boyfday cake wif lotta fukitols to take or hand out to friends:

And a big old HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH from DaBean:

Hope you are feeling better soon!

I'm sawwy if I missed anyone...I have to confess I been in a funk since Valentines. Some family issues that came up that day...blah, blah, blah, so anyway, it was awful. Just feel like crawling in a hole. But first I'm grabbing a big bottle of vodka.
Sending love and hugs to all HTL Hotties. Happy Fat Tuesday...hmmmm...must be back for dwinks at Pau Hana.
Cheers!

"Dance as though no one is watching you, love as though you have never been hurt before, sing as though no one can hear you, live as though heaven is on earth."
To all my Babes. I'm going to england tomorrow. My friend who was over at New Year, just so i would not be alone, has just had a hysterectomy due to the effing Bastard C word. I am so not happy right now. We laugh, we smile, we joke. You babes are the only people that have kept me sane. Darling Kathy (Wahine) introduced me and i will thank her forever

Stopped in to say Happy Mardi Gras!!!! Off this afternoon....good thing as I'm having major case of the anxieties....if I keep eating like I did this morning, I'll look like the lady in the pic above.......just eating out of nervous energy....took 1/2 Ativan, but dont' think it will do anything......Taking DD out to lunch then to eye exam for new glasses and contacts...then I need to go to my favorite bookstore for work....and of course I'm way behind with work and my class so need to make myself do that tonight...with the help of wine....Hugs,

Why am I sooooo tired....ready to fall asleep.....I hit this brick wall in the late afternoon!!! Took DD out to lunch....then went to the bookstore to pick up some things for work....on hold till I get the purchase order...then went to eye doc....spent way to long looking for new frames....should have just given up....I do like what I got, but just feeling so unsure about everything.....and the cost!!!! we've been going to this guy for over 15 years and he gives us a deal, but you never know what the deal really is!!!!! DD got new frames and contacts as her Rx changed about....mine is more or less stable, but he is changing the reading abit since I said I have trouble reading small print.....hope its okay.....
Still haven't done anything that I need to do today....so good with procrastination...feeling overwhelmed as I have a busy TH and F....and after being gone last week, I really need the time...TH I'm going with DD and her language arts class to see Taming of the Schrew....Friday I have a Komen meeting...will need to be really efficient early Friday to get my cooking done as well as after the field trip Th.....Even though I stay up late, I seem to do better in the morning....its like once I start I'm okay, but getting started.....
Definitely time for wine tonight....might just start now while getting dinner ready, but not too much as I have to pick DD up in 45 min....either that or DH pick her up, but then I have to cook the burgers on the grill and not up to doing that.....
Hope some loungettes are around to help me drink some dry red wine!!!!

A couple was invited to a swanky masked Halloween Party. She got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone. He, being a devoted husband, protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed, and there was no need of his good time being spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for one hour, awakened without pain, and as it was still early, she decided to go to the party. In as much as her husband did not know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him.
She joined the party and soon spotted her husband cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice chick he could and copping a little feel here and a little kiss there. His wife went up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his partner high and dry and devoted his time to the new stuff that had just arrived.
She let him go as far as he wished; naturally, since he was her husband. Finally he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed, so off they went to one of the cars and had a little bang. Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away and went home and put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make for his behavior.
She was sitting up reading when he came in and asked what kind of a time he had had. He said, "Oh the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there." The she asked, "Did you dance much?"
He replied, "I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the den and played poker all evening. But I'll tell you... the guy I loaned my costume to, sure had a real good time!"
-
Night....thinks its time to put the wine glass away....sweet dreams....and guess who is ticked off at me!!! again!!!

Mornin' Loungettes. Just a quick pop on to say I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. Been a crazy bit a of a few days for me. Mom was readmitted to the hospital on Friday. I found out Monday morning that on Saturday she got 4 units of blood transfused, and a central line put in, then taken to the OR Sunday morning to clean out a huge hematoma and put a drain back in. Apparently things went well because she went home yesterday afternoon. As for me, I took myself to walk in care on Sunday evening with what I thought was my asthma kicking up from the wet weather and worrying about Mom and found out that I was running a fever, too. So here I've been home with steroids and drinking enough fluids to float a battleship so that I pee every time I cough and so tired I care barely get out of my own way. Yeesh. On the up side, no more fever since yesterday so I don't have pneumonia, feeling better (as in coughing without peeing myself), Mom is on the mend, and I still have 2 whole days of doing nothing before going back to work. I think a long hot shower is in the plan for today at some point.
I'm not going to try to play ketchup, but I am going to skim the posts here and see if I can get a sense of what I've missed.
Karen--having appointments changed around is stressfull, hang in there. Praying for your SIL. And we all deserve some whining time occasionally!
Tidy--your path report says the tumor was what we call Triple Positive, positive for estrogen and progesterone receptors, and positive for over-expressing Her 2, which is an element associated with agressiveness. The A part is an area that has pre-cancerous findings. The B part was cancer that probably started in the loblule rather than the duct, and was found just outside the lobule. Somewher e in some other report are the measurements, and the info about finding any stray bc cells in any lymph nodes or not. Also there is not a mention of grade here, so you don't have a complete pathology report yet. This may be a preliminary report. Ask your onc for the full info: number of tumors, size of each tumor (or at least the biggest), how close the margins were (how close cancer cells were found to where the tumor was cut out), the grade, how many lymph nodes were removed and examined, did any have stray bc cells in them. Tell your onc you want to know the TNM status and the stage. Have him/her write it down or copy the reports and bring the info back here and we'll help you interpret it.
Oh. Wow, I missed a GREAT b-day partay!!!!! Thanks Goils!
Let me guess, Did Mr. Big jump out of the cake???? I was so hoping for Pants (minus his, of course!) Oh, my, opening more pwesents and thinking I wasn't having a fever after all--at least not the the kind you get from a virus! And look, I got flowers for my birthday! Edible ones, even! Da Birfday nurse is nursing herself but can't wait to get a sugar high!!! Aha, I knew there would be enough pills and shots and stuff to get me through the party! All my favs, too! LUV the guy jumping out of the cake, AND I like the Christmas tree in the background, too!OK, I must be on the mend, seeing all the b-day cakes and Fat Twosday yummies had made me hungry for something besides gingerale!
Oh, DorKy, I'm so upset your implant has shifted. So NOT FAIR!!!
Ok, time to fix some breakfast, take a nap, pick up around the house a little, take a nap, then decide what to do with the rest of the day. Can't visit Mom with this cold, she'll freak. At least I can talk to her on the phone.
Latah, all! And thanks for the b-day partay! And for saving me some cake! -
Funny Lisa, when I hear you say you just want your friends to leave at some point. I DH will go to bed. He flat out says, "it's my bedtime, you can do what you want". But, if it is that late, most likely the company is staying over night.
Beans, glad you popped in. We have miffed you goyle. My allergies are not doing too bad. Just had the one awful day, where is felt like my face was going to explode! Sawry you are having family issues again. Why do people have to be like that? Try not to let it get to you, and live your life to make YOU happy.
Bernie, safe travels to England. I'm sorry tho for the reason you are going. We will all pray for your friend and you are a good friend to be there for her.
Karen, we know what you look like, and you are anything but fat girl! Hope you enjoyed your wine. You wore me out reading your post, and I will volunteer to help drink the wine.
Hmmmm, pear vodka Juliet? Do you mix it with something, or just drink it straight?
Kathy, you mentioned NM's missing and her mom, now I too am worried. I still have another page to read, so hoping to see her. How are your legs doing and your tummy. What do you have going on next, as far as more tests or check ups. And when can you EAT?
Alli, that was great form from Pants, you done good girl. You know, there's nothing wrong with teaching our boys a few things, right? OMG, cracking up at you. When you asked Karen if she had a spare bedroom, I thought you meant for Jocks, then I see you say that her DH will have to sleep there..........LMAO! And yes, it could have been Junie that threw dat bucket. I do have her out there too, ya know.
Dofey, my husband thinks we are nuts, and act like a bunch of HS girls. I ok with that! You have me cracking up too with your comments about your tit taking a shit, sunk, slipped and drown! You poor dear. Is this common? What does one do about it? And it's not right that you are in so much pain. Just doesn't make sense to me, and to wait 6 weeks????
Karen, I have a wine stopper for you, or should I say more for someone else in your family, that always seems to get mad.

In case you can't read what it says:
