    Wahine, you are a hoot, "Shears, Dears...." Your posts make me laugh, you have a great way in saying things so funny. And you iron "sew" much. A tip if this works -  I was notorious for leaving the iron on or the curling iron, hot rollers...you get it.  I have recently cleared out my third bedrom which is known as the "vanity room". That is because it does not have a bed and was only used to do make up. My wall switch is hooked to an electric outlet so I have a surge protector plugged into the light switch and use this for all of my hot applianaces. One flip of the switch and everything is off. I have been doing more ironing lately due to being back to work and a change in our dress code while I was out last year.

    Unde', I would love to see your 80's pic. I promise not to laugh! I am wishing that 80's hair would come back as my hair "wants" to be big and I had it made in the 80's. Now that flatter hair is in, it is a challenge for me. I am waiting and I am patient. I have been waiting all of my life for the name Dorothy to come back lol. It is the number one name now....in the obits that is hahaha!

    Well I tink I need mr. big to carry me poolside and perhaps lay on the hammock with me. Wese started partaying early on dis sundey fundey and wese is beat. I gonna welax for a bit den log in to work and do sumting impotant. I is planning on calling de doctor monKEYdey morning cuz my boob is so sore. Mese so tired of dese foob snafus. I tink dat it just dropped and fluffed as dey say but am scared dat it has fallen out of de pocket. I doubt dat really is de case but mese paranoid. Sawry to beotch.

    gotta go, Stella is on de phone and she is practicing "de song" for NM. I tail you all a widdle story about "de song". Once upon a time, mese has neighbors behind me that have what I call a spy tower attached to dere house. It is a bi-level hom and they added an enclosed room, like a California type room, off their kitchen and can peak into my berry private back year. Dere are times I tink dey are spys for de CIA. Anyway, dey have birthday partays all de time in de warmer weather in dat room.  And dey always sing dat song, me tink it called bappy hirthedey or sumting like dat. Anway....so Stella likes to sing along with dem when dey sing their song. She sings berry much out of key but she sings from her heart. But I don't tink our neighbors dig it when she sings dere song hehehe. Stella acts like she wants to sing cuz it feel good but I really tink she do it out of spite for de spy tower dat de neighbors built. Dat'll teach dem, fo sureliest!! 

    Stella, me picked up me phone and me know it is you giggling in de back ground. Ok, little bwat, mese misses you berry much. okey, I sed it. mese dwunk, can ya tail????

    I need to go back and read all the posts to catch up but that will  have to wait till another day....my visit with my folks has come to an end....My folks have gone to bed....Need to leave by 6:15am for the airport.....Its been good to be here....the weather has been gorgeous...sunny, blue sky and hot....we;ve pretty much just hung out at the pool each day...today the water was like a bath tub....to avoid sunscreen, I put a t-shirt on over my bathing suit even when I went in the pool.....went out to dinner....Had some good conversations with Mom and had some frustrating ones....she is so confused on what she wants....depends on her mood on the tone of the conversation.....They are not going to come to denver for passover, so I won't see my folks probably till after school is out...so won't be down again till June......Thinking of a direct flight next time and just telling Mom that I'm taking the shuttle to/from the airport....less travel time and less hassle for me......

    Still bummed that my onc appt has been changed....was really wanting to see him....but I think I will pursue some other avenues before our appt....and hope he is okay with it....Got to get a handle on my mental health......and on my weight......

    Glad to be getting home tomorrow......HUgs to all....

    Oh AdorKable, she is just......well, adorkable too! Stella is too, too precious, and her gpa is a preacher...oh boy that explains why she is so naughty sometimes!     Dork-lmao about the name obituary thing. I'm with you on the big hair,I miss everything about the 80's. The skinny jeans and bracelets are back so why not the hair! Maybe i'll have the courage to show my pic,afterall my brother looks worse than I do in it. I swear he cut his mustache out of a catalog and pasted it on. I was always looking for the glue behind it. And I don't have an ipad,but maybe I should get one just for the case. However i'd have to have a need for an ipad,any idea what they're for??? Hope everyone has a great week and HAPPY B-DAY NM!

    Alli, I had never heard of the soap trick either, but I would have tried anything. However, I did not join BCO until I was almost done with everything. Took me a minute as to your quote of what I said on Friday about the 2 hour check up. Don't y'all know what I mean???? LOL. I meant it took me too hours to get caught up HERE! I had a hair appt. on Friday, I thought maybe that was it. But I now I see. Dayem, I think I can sing just as good as you too!

    Ok, I have a funny......in the pic I have here, that pot up at the top left, in the Shady Lady had fallen. My DH and I were baffled, as to how that could have possibly happened. Well out my mouth comes "Stella probably did it!" He looked at me and says "who the F is Stella" like I was crazy!

    Mrs. V-The suspense was killing me, trying to read faster, faster, to find out if you messed your hair up.  Such a funny story, but so glad all went well with your hair.  I think when mine finally starts to grow out I will protect it like it's gold!

    Goldie-Too cute that you thought of Stella and then actually SPOKE what you were thinking!!

    Karen-Glad you spent some good time with your folks and got to enjoy some sunshine, I love the sunshine :)  Hoping all of your concerns for them just work themselves out and that the answers become clear to you.

    Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company's Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't taste like alcohol at all. He didn't even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he did something wrong.
    Jack had to force himself to open his eyes and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! Jack sits up and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in Lipstick:
    "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Jillian"
    He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, "Son... What happened last night?"
    "Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door.
    Confused, he asked his son, "So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me??"
    His son replies, "Oh THAT! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed, "Leave me alone, I'm married!!"
    Broken Coffee Table: $239.99. Hot Breakfast: $4.20. Two Aspirins: $.38. Saying the right thing, at the right time. . . PRICELESS!!!
