3jaysmom, did I see that Mur celebrated his Birthday last Friday? Well tell him from me, he shares it with someone from down under! I got a kitten and a Kindle, both of which I really wanted.
Sheila.

Marybe - so glad to hear that your numbers are still going down in big steps. What great news that the new treatments is working so well for you.
-
Barbe and Marybe--so happy that BOTH of you have such good news!!
3jays, happy belated BD to Mur and I hope you both can go out to celebrate soon! Glad you got out for Valentine's day, though. You're always in my prayers.
We had a little excitement in the house tonight. A bird flew in when DH opened the door to take the dog out. Poor thing flew madly around the house, lighting on tops of doorframes. We put the dog in the bedroom and shut that door, thinking the bird had gone out the open front door, but when I opened the bedroom door again there was the bird on the top of the window. DH went down to his shop and got a fishing net, made a bird capture, and the bird is now safely outside and all is well. Several years ago a bird made a nest in our garage but this is the first time one's actually flown into the house.

Thank you for your bday wishes ladies, it's good to still be here to be getting them.
We went to an animal refuge to 'look' at some kittens and DH told me not to go for the first one I saw. Well, we all know where this tale is going don't we? I'm walking around the kitten area looking at each one as I go, trying to be an equal opportunist when I look back to see DH seated in the corner with this blonde Jezebel whispering sweet purrs into his ears. She was so in our faces sassy, we couldn't resist her even if she does only have half a tail due to a bit of Manx in her genes.
So we now have a new mistress in the house and we have become Sassy's willing slaves, so yes, it was a great birthday and the kindle was icing on top of the day. I will try to post some pics of her if someone can tell me if you can take the pics from the computer library or do you have to join Picasa or something like it?
Thanks in advance, Sheila.
-
What a great seduction story Sheila!!! I look forward to pics of the slut herself....hehehehehee.
-
Meant to say, I post pictures directly off Facebook.
-
Barbe, congrats on b9. and good job on your recovery! Hope this is just the fix-it you needed!
3jays, belated good wishes to Mur. Hope your meds are working. You just keep on keepin on.
And Shiela, birthday wishes to you as well! Did you name the kitty Jezebel? What fun. I'm starting to "hint" about a Kindle.... DH is balking - the more tech I have, the more he has to fix.
Marybe, I saw your latest numbers, and I keep having flashbacks to a few pages ago on one of these threads where your friends were commanding DOWN -- and so.... hmmm. Anyway, your red queen looked like a fun getup.
Chrissy, good luck with your upcoming surgery. Remember it's ok to hate your physical therapist. I think you are supposed to.
Isabella, are you ok? Still iced in?
On the home front here, I'm stove up with a bad back from unknown causes. But if I keep moving it's better, so I just try not to sit much - it seems to just stiffen right up. We went to a nursery on Friday, and bought some hedging bushes, and a pink flowering dogwood. DH already has the dogwood in the ground and we have hopes for its beauty. I got a couple of herbs and some brocolli starts, and then I lost my mind and bought a little lemon tree. We are going to have to protect this tree every winter from now on. What was I thinking????
