I have had the pleasure of being friends with LJ on Facebook, and seeing some of her *amazing* landscaping. Wow... such talent!

LJ, I can only imagine what feelings of bliss and contentment your beautiful landscapes have provided for your clients. I picture your home as a David Winter cottage sculpture or a Thomas Kincaid painting.

These, and your children, are lasting legacies, however bittersweet.

Thank you so much for all your amazing words and support ladies. I went back and re-read my entry, and realize it is just a bit, um, out there, lol. It must have been late and I was pretty drugged up, but the sentiments were there :).

Thank you for all of the humor, need that today. Had my other lung tapped, but it was more uncomfortable this time (Damn I want to know the name of the man with that baseball bat!). Then the nurses were concerned about my Tachycardia, which is normal for me. So they rushed me to the ER, started an IV, and all that fun stuff. Thankfully, my doctor finally got called, and she told them to let me go. Fun fun.

I am horrible with names, so to the person who asked if I've contacted hospice, yes, but kind of. They will be coming in to hydrate me each week, but we are still doing palliative care as I am stil doing chemo for now. They were very nice about it.

So, we had a lovely cruise! What is great is that Disnay has an age appropriate group for all kids, open 9:00-Midnight, for free. We used it some of the time, in fact, our kids didn't want to do much else! So this allowed DH and I to lounge by the adult-only pool, and have a fantastic high end meal at Remy's, Disney's 'frou-frou' restaurant.

One day we spent on the private island and my oldest was able to snorkel to his hearts content. My younger two hung out on floats and tubes. Weather was so nice, low 70's.

Our stateroom was nice and spacious, mand we even had a verandah!

So it was really a great time together, we even snuck in a day to Legoland!

I'm going to finish this on a happy note - everyone's words have meant so much to me. We are an extraordinary group of women. For any newcomer, while I'm sad you have to be here, you can bet you won't find a better support group.

Inmate- I just knew it was you! LOL

Heidi- how nice to write all of that. I wish I had you as my publicist. Really, really sweet, thank you.

Suze- I'm so glad you and your family had such a nice time on your vacation. What a blast! Baseball bat? I think I missed something? Glad your home. Have you considered the metformin?

Hope you all have a great evening. My son just helped me fix dinner which was so nice. I got almost everything done on my list today. I'm really looking forward to getting a manicure and pedi done Saturday morning. It's been too long. I have some clients taking me to dinner tomorrow night and Saturday I'm taking my daughter out to a carribean style fund raiser. Food, music and drinks. It's going to be a nice week end. I'll look forward to talking with you tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

Yes, indeed...it's a lighter day on the thread. You ladies are the best. You just never know what to expect here. I like that we can laugh, cry, and spill our guts here.

Suze, your cruise sounds like it was a blast and very special for all of you.

Laurajane - my garden looks like crap every year...your work is so good and I'm now inspired to make an effort to spiff it up a bit this year.

Oh, I loved the jokes. Just what we all needed!

I'm trying to enjoy a glass of wine before bed, my 5 pound Yorkie Poo, wanted a taste, I gave him a taste off my finger, thinking he'd hate it, now he's gone mad, wanting more! I've created a monster.

Inmate - I LOVE your avatar/photo!  I've been meaning to tell you that from the first time I saw it.  I've always assumed that it is you - but whether it's you or not, I love it!  Wish I could do as well as a photographer or as a subject!

Jenn hope you don't me posting to you but my diagnosis is similar to yours.  I was diagnosed in November 2012 with Triple Neg BC.  Had left mastectomy with 4/11 nodes positive.  Not a candidate for Tamoxifen.  Have just had one lot of chemo and was not sick and had no nausea (does this mean its not working or was it the meds helping me).  Got a ferocious appetite which is not normal to me.  The only side effect I have had is a little constipation. Does this mean it will be much worse next time.  Did you lose your hair and about what time.  I can see from the other posts that diagnosis may be poor.  I am 65 years of age and my mother had ovarian cancer so presumed that is where it is from. I have to have 4 x AC, 4 x Taxol then rads.  Is the Taxol hard to have. Mine was 111a, Stage 3.  Not sure if you still post but would be grateful for your answer if you can. Annie

Suze- So glad you had a good time with your family on your vacation.  You are in my thoughts. xx

Heading out for my 1 year out mammogram. The only thing that makes me happy about it this year is that I only have 1 boob left to crush! Half the job, half the time, half the worry!

Have a great day everyone. Keep smillingLaughing.

    Babs,

I just had my uni mammogram, too! Hope all goes well - I was pleased that they read mine before I left and I didn't have to wait for results.  Hope you will be able to know, too.   It would be nice if they charged half...

I'm headed in for my last chemo treatment of the Halaven today!! YAY!  I am so glad because I felt rough after my last treatment - my side even hurt, which concerned me but now it isn't hurting so I think my liver is possibly getting stressed from all this chemo.  I can't tell if it was my liver or the bone/muscle aches I get with this stuff or even gas pain.  I will be able to sort out what is chemo pain and "real" pain once the dust settles after a couple weeks.  I really haven't had a break yet from active treatment for almost a year, so I am looking forward to being finished. Had to work late last night and probably tonight but I'll still be pumped up from the steroids today. I usually don't feel bad until Saturday or Sunday.

I hope everyone has a good Friday and great weekend!

Inmate, I always assumed that was NOT you and just some professional photo you found.  It is really awesome!  Is your husband a professional photographer or just a hobby.  You should post some pics of his.

LauraJane, Would love to see pics or your landscapings and paintings.  Please have a pina colada for me tomorrow at your carribean fest.

Suze - So happy to hear you had a fantastic cruise.

Christina - Yay for your last chemo!!!

Annie - glad to hear you weren't too sick.  Congrats, One down and closer to the finish line.  I think its the meds are working just fine.  If your taking steriods too that will increase your appetite too.  I lost my hair about 14-16 days after my first treatment.  I had my 2 girlfriends buzz my head.  Made it so much easier to deal with I think.  Each treatment I had different side effects or should I say I had all the same side effects each treatment but a different one would be more prominent.  Numb fingers and toes one time, Mouth issues were worse another time.  I believe Chemo brain was extremely bad my 2 treatment, which didn't bother me too much but drove my husband crazy.  I asked my onc the same question, "I don't feel sick, is because it's not working?"  He assured me one thing doesn't have anything to do with the other.

I am having my one year anniversary test.  I also was triple negative and had a bout of shingles which was caused because my white blood cells went low.  On was on nulasta but mine were high so they did't give me the shot that week than I started out with a small scab on my arm we thought is might be limes disease but it was shingles.  I was in the hospital for 2 days with antibiotics.  I have been done with this for a year but I still have tingling in my hands and feet.
