Prolonged QT interval
Side effect of treatment?? Which ones? I was on the Neratinib clinical trial, which was stopped immediately. I did neo-adjuvant chemo, DD AC, and taxel + herceptin and tamoxifen... 2 of which are cardiotoxic... but does that usually present as prolonged QT?
Anyone else?? What treatment?

I got a long QT from taking Cymbalta and Seroquel!!! Had to reduce both meds in half and am just borderline to the syndrome. This is serious. How can they put us on drugs that do this??? Mine got picked up when I went to the ER with chest pains. Totally unrelated as you don't get chest pains with this syndrome.

Wow... Did they start you on any meds for it or what are they doing?? What did the say about your Chet pain?

Herceptin caused me some heart failure, which I am on Lasiks for. I have enlarged right atrium and pulmonary hypertension. So, no more Herceptin for me. Taxotere damaged the kidneys.

Great gift.. My EF is greater than 64%.... Unchanged thru all chemo... The clinical trial rep for Neratinib says long QT is a RARE SE... Of course web searches find articles where they DENY long QT as a SE! Hmmmm...

That's a good ef. Mine is done to 55-60.
I never Never Never believe a sales rep or thier company.

55-60 is great also... They are not wholly accurate... Depends on the tech.

It's been 55-60 for 2 echo's. Under 50= no treatment, but I'm off it anyway.
