Rotter's Lymphnode
For some reason, I have had a resurgence to re-research my reports and such. Well i made a mistake before, apparently I thought I had a subclavicular lymphnode involvement but I really have right subpectoral node (Rottor's lymph node) per my reports at MDA. Is this better or worse or the same. I know the SCL is not great in terms of prognostic tools, but from what I understand the rotters node is not a subclavicular. I can't find a lot about it Any info is welcome.

I hope you get some support soon. Where is the Rotter's node located? I too go over my pathology reports over and over, hoping to find something in there that says...and you will live to be an old lady....not really sure why I do this, trying to make sure I got everything...

Count me in as one who goes back and re-reads my reports. Guess I'm looking for the "and everyone lives happily ever after" like both of you.
No knowledge of the Rotter's node but wanted to bump this for you.

I guess the rotters node is an intermammary node... I thought it was under my collar bone but I guess its just a little lower down on my chest. There are some pretty scary stats about the subclav lymph....

Hi MMM
i have positive rotters nodes following a recurrence of TNBC back in august.... i was told its not as bad as SCL nodes, but my onc thinks its more serious than auxilary nodes.... my aux nodes were negative at both my original diagnosis and at the recurrence but had 2 rotters nodes affected 15mm and 7mm.
my breast surgeon said he would consider it as stage 2 disease but onc says stage 3... hes given my prognosis as good... 80% survival at 10 years.

When I got my pet report over the phone, I was driving and didn't ask to see the actual report until yesterday (3 months later). I glossed over the news that I had a 3cm subclavicular and a 2cm intermammary node (rotters maybe?) I asked my Onc yesterday about these nodes. She said she has seen many women with these nodes affected, go on to live long lives. I'm going with that.

I have two interpectal nodes that are cancerous and inoperable after a mastectomy two years ago with no node involvement and only tamoxifen given. I'm now heading for chemo, radiation and AIs. However, I don't understand my reports. One says interpectal nodes 7 cm from nipple, another says infraclavicular which looks a lot further than 7 cm to me. Is this level 2 or level 3 nodes? Has anyone learned anything more about the physiology than me? Doing lots of research here and furthering my understanding of basic anatomy and wish I had no reason to be doing so. Any help given would be appreciated.
