I Come to the Garden...

wow!!i haven;t been feeling well, so had a lot to carch up on.. forgive me, if i miss some of yu!!!
1sr; i ask for prayers.. my thyroid has turned for the worst again, so im sick again.. no ryhyme or reason for it, i was actually close to the right dosage!!so, another change in the works, re meds, and lots of testing, more doctors.. i continue NOT to be able to go to church, but spend most of my am hrs watching tv "preacherrs" some, of which, i've grown fond of...
Evebarry, I like Barbe, found my belief system fits some of that young mans' on u tube.. im just not as passionately objecting of " religion" as he is.. I have become quite more interested in the " gospel of Grace" as its' beginning to be known as.. something i've believed in for a long time.. the utter forgiveness of the FINISHED work fo the Cross.. thats the best way i can verbalize it.. i think we all would pray not to become as the pharasees were, but don't they exist in every church? and isn't that whymany, if not all, of us, profess in a personal God??just thinking out loud..
Meece, im so happy Matt is out on his own, for ALL of you,, its easier that way, and the job is such good news!!!i'm happy his life is becoming full again.
Jan" im praying for you.. emotional pain and worry wear us down, make us question so much in life, sometimes, our faith, as well.. I always quote Paul.. its a life verse for me.. " i believe help thou my unbelief.. " it says it all for me!
evebarry: I'm so glad you are NED. i did the whole chemo thing as a preventative, but we all make our own decisons.. i couldn't tolerate the als, but may try again, if the ms gives me the chance...
it feels good to reconect with you all, my sisters..... 3jays

there were so many typos ' i edited it.. i gotta learn to use the "dragon" program i got.. can't type much longer, i fear.. for now...3jays

3 jays, you are a lovely woman of God. I agree with you. It's about grace, God's finish work at the cross. I will pray for your recovery. Stand on His promises inspite of the storm that surrounds you.
He is the God of all flesh...nothing is too difficult for Him... also, all His promises are yes. When you feel broken and your fingers or body doesn't work...give thanks that in them He is your healer.
In Jesus tender love to all of you, and blessings always...good health

All Things Are Possible lyrics
Songwriters: Zschech, Darlene;Almighty God, my Redeemer
My hiding place, my safe refuge
No other name like Jesus
No power can stand against YouMy feet are planted on this rock
And I will not be shaken
My hope it comes from You alone
My Lord and my salvationYour praise is always on my lips
Your Word is living in my heart
And I will praise You with a new song
My soul will bless You, LordYou fill my life with greater joy
As I delight myself in You
And I will praise You with a new song
My soul will bless You, LordMy feet are planted on this rock
And I will not be shaken
My hope it comes from You alone
My Lord and my salvationYour praise is always on my lips
Your Word is living in my heart
And I will praise You with a new song
My soul will be bless You LordYou fill my life with greater joy
As I delight myself in You

And I will praise You with a new song
My soul will bless You, LordWhen I am weak
You make me strong
When I'm poor, I know I'm rich
For in the power of your nameAll things are possible
All things are possible
All things are possible
All things are possibleYour praise is always on my lips
Your Word is living in my heart
And I will praise You with a new song
My soul will be bless You, LordYou fill my life with greater joy
As I delight myself in You
And I will praise You with a new song
My soul will bless You, LordWhen I am weak
You make me strong
When I'm poor, I know I'm rich

I would appreciate your prayers today. I'm about to leave for a long and tough day at work. We have to finish a lot of projects up for end of term. Helping kids finish up. I woke up this morning and feel as if I am fighting something. I' pushed it a little too much yesterday, not resting as much as I should have. I need God's strength especially to complete the next two days...at school.
I pray that today you are all blessed. E

eve, I pray you sense Him walking beside you today. His Hand is in all things. Take the moment to find Him in every way today. The pause you take, will allow a stillness to calm your soul. Walk in Christ, sweet eve!

I miss you all to much not to stop in @ least weekly! I would ask that you pray for my GS Sam as he has been on 2 antibiotics and had 3 shots of Rocefen and still had a temp of 102 today! Grammy had him all day yesterday and today and took him to the Dr. today too, and now I know why there is menopause! My hospice job fell through @ least for right now due to cutbacks and I am desperately searching for a job. My husband whom I am seperated from will be staying here for 2 days and I pray that I don't shoot him in the face with a bazooka! (LOL)
Barbe- I was raised Catholic so I know about Limbo and in 2nd grade the nun made me sit in the hall because I told her that babies didn't go to Limbo, and that I knew that because I had just been in heaven with God !" George Carlin and I would both like to know what happened to everyone in Limbo when the church renounced it!
Meece- that is so wonderful for Matt, recognition for a job well done is worth so much more than money
Everyone- I pray for you specifically everyday, I have a list with everyones name and what their specific needs are!
Hugs and Love,
Linda

Linda: prayers for sam. my GS is also sick.. winter ...arrrggghhh......3jays

Thanks ladies for your prayer today. Amazing, I felt God's strength throughout the day. My mind was alert, and so much got done. I felt like my old self. When I got home after checking a few e-mails, I laid down in front of the TV and slept for 3 hours.
Again, I would appreciate your prayers for tomorrow...I have an appt at the ps at 8 a.m. and then another long day at school. I'll remember all of you as well for healing, health and God will wrap His arms around you all.
You are all loved!

I thank the Lord for each and everyone of you ladies here. He has blessed this group with answered prayers, and evidence of His strength in our lives.
I would ask for prayer for His will to be known to me about my employment. I have applied to a different job, in a government facility. It is less pay, but I have been under a lot of stress in my current position. The Branch manager, whom I am directly subordinate to, has been showing up late and leaving early almost every day. He's gone for 2-3 hours minimum each day. I then have to take on more responsibility in his absence and feel that my silence is protecting him, but I must protect my job in the mean time. Of course, if I do not get this new job, I will stick where I am, but need to know what I should be doing. So, unimportant in the scheme of things, but having this issue cleared will help my focus. Thank you for listening...
Love,
Meece

They renounced LIMBO and didn`t even TELL me??????? How can that be?????? Sheesh!!
Prayers continuing for my sisters who walk with God. Lean on Him while he is beside you, or take His hand if He leads you. When you finally walk ahead, you know He will be faithfully behind you.
Amen
-
I ask for prayers today for our dear Mumayan who is going through some terrible heart ache. Dear Lord, please guide Mum's heart to the right place. Give her head wisdom and strength as she follows this next journey. I ask in Jesus' name. Amen

Psalm 84:5-7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
In [a]whose heart are the highways to Zion!
6 Passing through the valley of [b]Baca they make it a [c]spring;
The early rain also covers it with blessings.
7 They go from strength to strength,
[d]Every one of them appears before God in Zion. The valley of Beca is a place of weeping...for why it is a spring...they shall be strengthen there, and they shall stand before the God of Zion!
Also...blessed are those whose hearts are the highway of Zion..our hearts are constantly a prayer making a path always to the throne of God ... praying for one another. We know we shall be strengthen by His strong Right hand.
Be encouraged, we know the God of all creation, who can move mountains!
-
Yes, Lord God...we ask that you gently hold Mum, and give her your wisdom, strength and encouragement today. We also ask that you provide Meece with the perfect job. We ask for healing and encouragement for all the precious souls that come to the garden.
-
Sweet Ladies...I ask to for prayer, I feel as if I'm coming down with a bug. I know that my body is still recovering and my immune system is working overtime healing me from the recent mx.
The last two days I worked long days at the school. I felt the Lord's presence and strength throughout my time at work. When I came home both days I colasped...sleeping about 4 hrs each time. Last night I felt as if I'm getting a bug. I haven't really been sick in years. I am resting the next few days as I have a few big things happening next week. I need to be strong and well.
-
eve, you have continued in my prayers so I know that you are being watched. I do pray that you don't develop the 'bug' that is going around here! I caught a horrid cough when I went to the ER a number of weeks ago and STILL have it!! I have surgery on Feb 6th and know that if I still sound like I do now, they just won't do it!
-
Oh Ladies, it has been a long time since I have been on here. I apologize for being absent as I realise that it is important to stay connected so I can pray for specific things. Eve, Linda, Jean, Barbe, Meece, Mac, 3jays, and Jan, I will be praying profusely for all the needs that I have read on here today. I also rejoice over the victories. ((((((((((All))))))))))
(Edited to correct spelling)

Hello, everyone
I've never been on this thread before. I was raised Catholic, but attend a United Methodist church with my husband because it's the denomination in which he was raised. Can I ask what happened to Limo and why?
Cat

Sorry to be unclear, but why was Limbo renounced, and when?
3jays-hope you are doing better. I've dealt with that nasty bug myself, and it's a beast.
-
Hmmm...perhaps it's Barbe's sharp humor?
My entire church needs prayer please. Yesterday we were warned that the message was not going to be a normal message. And it wasn't. Our Senior pastor stepped down in order to focus on his marriage of 30 years. (He was not nor had not had an affair) This is effective immediately. In situations like this it always opens a crack for satan to drive a wedge to split a church. We need to pray for unity for our church.
-
Meece, I respect your pastor for putting first things first. He can always go back into ministry. The enemy often divides and conquers...so many Churches are splitting these days. A church is often built around personalities, or gifted people rather than the community of the Church. If you all are a strong community your Church will survive. It's the people in the Church that make it what it is...and our committment to God and one another. When hard times comes and we go through the fire then we become all the stronger for it. I will pray for your Church and too we need to be praying for all the Churches throughout the world.
-
That's tough. The pastor that was the head of the church I went to when I returned to church after a LONG absence, left the church & his wife about 12 years or so ago. It sure put us into a tailspin. But God is good-their marriage was restored and he is pastoring again at a different church, and our little church is growing by leaps & bounds with a young pastor with new innovative ideas-he's been on board just under 3 years (there was another minister in between, but there was no chemistry)
