Hey all.  Just wanted to add my prayers for Linda and her mom:  my heart hurts for her.  I lost my mom on Dec. 5th.  She was 86 years young and had been battling a form of leukemia for the past year.  She had recevied numerous blood transfusion and 7 hospital stays over that year and finally her body gave up.  I drove to NC and was able to see her for a few hours along with 2 of my 3 sisters and Mom knew we were there, so that was comforting.  She was ready to go.  My dad is 82 and is doing well, but after 64 years of marriage and taking care of my mom 24/7 during that time, he will have to adjust to a quiet house.  Not the best time of year to lose someone, but when is a good time.

Melinda:  you are in my prayers, too, for healing.

Alicia:  I hope the leg is doing better every day.  Hopefully you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Sue:  enjoy the company!

Brenda:  hope the little biddies (I think that's the correct word for chicks) are all doing well

Merry Christmas to everyone and a safe and HEALTHY New Year.  Nette

Hi, just been catching up on all of your posts. I have one more chemo treatment to go-hurray. Has been quite tough but probably because I have been working too. Bit of radiotherapy planned then having a month off work to recover. Going to go to the gym every day, cook good food and relax. Hope you all have great plans for new years eve, I have arranged for a whole load of family and friends to go for a meal and see the new year in watching the clock in the town square at midnight. Praying for a healthy 2012 for us all xxxxx

    Happy New Year's Sisters!!

I had my surgery, and all I can say is that I FREAKING HATE JP DRAINS. I'd be fine if my drain holes didn't burn. No pain in the actual breast, just soreness in the chest. I can't open pill bottles with safety lids or glass jars. Can't lift much, but alas, who will do my laundry? Mother of all mother's, I need to win the lottery! I need a maid :)

Melinda, what's the status with you? This surgery is much easier than the flap surgery. At least my foobs are warm and soft. Sounds like good bread to me (Ewwwwww, TMI?)

Linda: I thought you said "smelled" like bread and I was thinking 'you need to have that checked out by a doc!'.

The infection has cleared and I am starting weekly fills. So far, so good.

    Happy 2012!

I HAVE CLEAVAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO YEARS!! Did any of you need to have revisions? I'm only one week out, and am still a little lumpy and bumpy in places. But the cleavage is looking sweet!

Melinda, Ahh HA HA HA. I could make a disgusting yeast comment, but I will pass. Good luck on your fills. They hurt in the beginning, but you do get used to them.

Michele, I'm just glad I'm not the only one. I get lost on a one-way street!

Mom is still in the hospital. She's having a heart cath right now. Her heart isn't strong enough for the chemo right now. They said she has congestive heart failure...

Well, my mom is doing a lot better. No blockages...just a weak heart. They think it's either from a virus or the chemo she took in 1997. Soooo, they have put us BOTH on a heart healthy diet. I took the Adryamicins and Cytoxins. I'm starting my third year of Herceptin this month. Am I going to have these same problems in 20 years? Oh, don't forget the rads to my left side that hit my lungs and heart. At least my dr sends me for Echos every two months.

Watching her goes through this scares me a little. She's ok, but I don't want my daughter to go through what I have. Cancer sucks BIG TIME!

Melinda, how are the fills going?

    Melinda, how's the recon going?

Alicia, good luck on your upcoming scans. Mine are coming up in Feb too! Fingers crossed!

Good luck Michele on the recon, hope you have a quick recovery.

Linda, how's you Mom, and the new boobs?

I should be done with fills. He said he will do a big acute fill on the table, he wants more projection. So I'll have exchange in March or so, nothing scheduled yet.

    Hope everyone is doing great.

The girls are doing just fine. I see little places that will need filling up. Next step...LIPO!
