PHEW......great news.

Thanks Michele - I wasn't too worried as most goitres are benign, but I must say I was quite happy later.
-
Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yea !!!!
-
Thanks girls.
Melinda - how are you? When do you get your boob fixed up? Are you still seeing that guy?
Sue
-
Susie: Still seeing the guy, getting expander put back in Nov. 29th, feel like crap.
-
Great news Melinda - I am such a romantic
Hope the surgery goes well this time.(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))
Sue
-
Go Melinda!
BTW...why do you feel like crap? Do you have a cold?
-
Linda: I am having lung issues, trouble breathing, very frustrating.
Remind me when your exchange is?? I am having my expander put back in at the end of the month.
-
My exchange is Dec 29 (Happy New Year!).
Have you been to the dr? Will they do the surgery if you feel so bad???
-
Great news Sue !!!
Hi everyone ~ still clubbing along here. Hopefully I will be free of this boot for the leg soon. I am driving with it now CAREFULLY.
Melinda ~ sorry to hear about your lung issues. I hope it gets better.
Hugs,
Alicia
-
Alicia: Man, sorry to hear that you are still toting around that damn boot. But glad you can drive now, heal fast!!!
-
Just saying HI ! Thinking of you all at Thanksgiving, hoping you are all doing well.
Love and hugs,
Alicia
-
Hi Alicia - have you got that boot off yet?
(((HUGS)))
Sue

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.....hope you all have a wonderful holiday...
-
Boot off for a few days. Walking with a limp and still very swollen and sore by the end of the day. I start physical therapy this week, so I am hoping that will help ! Thanks for asking Sue !
Hi Michele !
Hoping everyone had a nice Thanksgiving..
-
WOW where is everyone??? Hopefully enjoying life.
Think of you all always ~
Alicia

Hi girls, just thinking bout y'all so I thought I should pop in over and wish everyone a joyous holiday season filled with memories of love and happiness.
I'm sooooo not ready for the Holidays, don't have a tree up nor the first decoration. I'm just so uninspired and so broke to boot. But, it's all good I have my family here now and that's all that really matters. My gifts this year will be from the fruits of my land... delicious sweet fresh oranges and wonderful, incredible, healthy eggs from my babies
Have a SAFE and Happy New Year - Love all of you
-
Alicia - I'm still here - how's your leg? I hope you are walking properly now.
Brenda - I agree - not even going to bother putting up a tree even though our daughter and her husband are coming for Xmas. This time of year reminds me of the past 2 years dealing with treatment, so I'm not very enthusiastic. I haven't even worked out what food we're going to have. We are, however, going away to the beach for a week on the 27th - the place we went to before - up the coast.
Meanwhile - being back at work full time is keeping me well occupied. It's been hot, then cold and now hot again - looks like today will be worse than yeserday.
Sue
-
Alicia, glad to hear you are doing better with the foot...
Brenda, great to see you too.
Sue, enjoy your holiday no matter how you celebrate it.

I haven't posted in a while. The middle of November, my mom was having a hard time breathing. She was a life-long smoker, and I worried about lung cancer. I took her to the emergency room, and they did see three small spots on her lungs, which turned out to be scar tissue, but not cancer. However, further testing showed metastisis in her bone. My mom has had a recurrence of breast cancer which is scattered throughout her bone. It's in every rib, sternum, pelvis, sacrum, humerus...the list goes on. How the woman coped with everyday life, I don't know.
She is in so much pain. Add on top of that COPD and emphysema; she's hurting. The good news is that she hasn't had a cigarette since before Thanksgiving. I honestly thought I was going to lose her. She was in ICU on a breathing machine for 3 days.
I was lucky enough to get her my oncologist, who is about the most amazing man on earth. God love him, and he said she will be OK.
My mom has done everything for me the past two years. So much that she neglected her own health. I am scared!!!!!! I am so lost. I know how to fight, but I can't make her fight. She is so down. Sometimes I feel like I'm the parent and she's the child.
God Damn Cancer. I hate it. I don't know...I'm lost

-
Linda - I'm so sorry about your mother. It's so cruel to have this happen after all you have been through. Just be there for her and love her. She might catch some of your fighting spirit.
Well, we are now 2 years out from the beginnings of our treatment. Not sure how long it will take me to put it behind me - I am trying, but this time of year reminds me.
I want to thankyou all for being here. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and that next year will be better for all of us.

Oh, Linda,Linda,Linda~~~~~~
I don't know what to say to make you feel better. I know one thing and that is you have a lot of strength and perseverance!!! You have been a TRUE WARRIOR!!! I'm glad you where able to get her to your Onc. and that he said things will be OK. Just do what you do best and that is fight the fight with her, just be there for her and support her. You and I both know like the rest of us sisters how much support can help in these trials we have been put through.
Sue... I know this is that time of year, which seems to be difficult for you, but for me I just want to celebrate the fact WE HAVE survived and we won our battle. So, I feel good at this time of the year just because I am here. Still able to be with family and that is what most important to me. Heck, I'm so broke I can't pay attention and barely can pay the bills....BUT I"m still graced with the Love of God and have a loving family and one heck of an awesome husband... in addition, I have all of you sisters ~ all over the continent that fought with and for me, so for that alone, I am grateful and feel oh so BLESSED. Try to embrace the wonderfulness of that~~
To all of my loving sisters, may you have a wonderful Christmas and a better 2012.
(((((((((((((((((((((WARRIOR ~ H~U~G~S))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Brenda - I know, I'm sure next year will be much better. At least my scans were clear this time.
Our daughter and her husband just arrived - we just got back from the airport - I should have been in bed 2 hours ago, I've got work tomorrow.
((((((((((((((LINDA)))))))))))))))
Sue -
Sue ~~~~ Love you!!
-
Linda: I am so sorry to hear about your Mother, I was just looking here for you yesterday. Is your exchange still scheduled for this month? I had been worried about you.
Hugs to all and wishes for a great Holiday and New Year.
-
My exchange is still scheduled for the 29th at Duke. Bring on the girls!!
Thank you all for your kind words and support. I truly am blessed to have my warrior sisters
-
Linda - I hope the surgery goes well - you will be in my thoughts.
Brenda - love you too. How are the peeps?
Melinda - have you had your implant replaced yet?
Sue
-
Linda, my prayers are for you this christmas...
-
Sue: I had the expander put in on Nov 29th and it also got infected. I have been on antibiotics and PS thinks we can salvage this one. I think I was just too run down when I had it put back in, I should have waited.
