Comments

Yea, Granny...........I'll drink to that......................we made it this far........................and that little G.G.S. is adorable...........................Maybe someday Grayson, will get to meet Greyson.
-
hello from Wolf Creek, Oregon. I turned 70 on July 25th. don't feel like I could possibly be that old. hehehe. had breast cancer and treatments in 2006. recovered. had a scare in 2009 and opted for a full double mastectomy. not a good candidate for breast reconstruction but would love to hear from anyone who has found a comfortable solution to the boobless look. I'm thinking of trying an ahh bra but wondering what kind of forms (not huge ones) to use in it. I'm totally about comfort but wouldn't mind some itty bitty boobies but I'm a size 3X so need them wide enough so they don't look like mosquito bites. any ideas?
-
Welcome Lilac......just my opinion....if I was you------I would do nothing.....2006 then 2009 would be enuf for me...at this age who gives a shit....remember that is just me.....if i ever had another situation GOD forbid i would take them off in a heartbeat and never do anything again.......I wish you luck.lets see what the other sistas tell you..
-
Boobs at our age...who cares really, no more topless beaches for me! I do understand the need to look nice in clothes. I don't know much about the ahh bra but it sounds like a winner to me. They have special places that will fit you and make sure it looks good. Go for it!
-
Kaara So glad to hear your report. No nodes and clear margins GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Ducky Pottstown is about 60 south of Pottsville. So keep that Vodka handy!!
Granny Your gs is sooooo beautiful. God bless him
Lilac I too have no boobs. I do the prothesis thing. They look ok under clothing. But this year when it is time to get new ones, I too am going to try for smaller. My real twins were about 40C, I think. OMG, I forget already. But when the day is done and I get into my "something more comfortable" it feels good to put them in the drawer.
-
Rosieo......................will do..............................and I have a huge supply of "RED SOLO CUPS".............................I'll fill you up.....................PROCEED TO PARTY , PROCEED TO PARY............yowza, yowza
-
ducky lol i was looking at Stop & Shop flyer what do I see Solo cups on sale. LOL
Kaara...that is good news sister.........................hugs
-
I LOVE MY RED SOLO CUP...................................HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
Rosieo--that is my great grandson...has the same name as Duckys great granddaughter only spelled differently.....you know we are all related somehow...
-
granny...Do you watch Everybody loves Raymond????
In one episode this woman was saying "We all come from frogs"
She was a collector hahahahahaha
-
I used to watch it but i dont remember that.
I do believe that we were all meant to be here.If you notice how you pick certain friends/sistas....you are closer...bond in a different way...ya know what i mean...
look at the cnnection Ducky and I have...we both have homes in NJ and PA.
We both have great grandkids with the same name.one a boy and one a girl.
we have a lot of kids, grandkids and GGkids. can anyone top this!!!!
helo sista.been waiting for you a long time.
smooches to everyone.I love this thread.let it all hang out.
-
BTW thats my Greyson!!!!7 billionth baby born in the world.Born on Halloween!!!!!And he looks like ME....
-
-
Well Granny, then he has to be a "looker"...................and yes you and I do have a lot in common........and we will always be good friends, and sista's.
Sheila...........I remember the exact episode your talking about........Ray sees Robbie's girlfriend eat a fly, and tries to tell him, but he won't belive it........................then Robbie ends up jumping out her window in the pouring rain.
I watched Everybody Loves Raymond all the time.............I still do, and still laugh at the reruns like I had never seen them.....................My kids tell me.........."Mom, your just like Ray's mother Marie"..............now that is not true..............hahahahaha.......well sometimes...............
ACtually I think Barbara Healy (Debra) is terrible in that new series "Middle" that she plays in...................what a huge disappointment she is........loved her as Debora...........actually loved them all.....................even Frank........now there was a funny man................good to know someone else loves Raymond too.
-
I still watch all the reruns and laugh.
Yes that's the episode i was talking about.
I didn't watch Debra in any other show. To me she can only be Debra.
And when they went to Italy.......
Aunt Serena coming to visit them ....so many classic episodes
-
Hysterical.......all of them...........I don't watch "Middle", its awful, but though, hmmmm, might be good.........it is worse then horrible...........each character is worse then the other......
A real funny one was when Deborah was cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and she had her slippers and robe on, and was preparing the turkey with Raymond, and in struggling she dropped it on the kitchen floor, and then picked it up.........put it in the pan, and threw it into the oven, and said "done", and walked away..........I laughed outloud.
-
hahahahahahahahaha i remember that one she was in her pijamas
-
Rays mom Marie was exactly like my mom...when ever she came to my house she was always directing traffic.every once in a while my kids give me that look and i know it means im starting to remind them of her!!!!!dont know if its a complement or just the nature of the beast.
-
ELR is a comedy on TV but in real life it won't be funny.
I had a MIL (RIP) made my life miserable and I'm not that type of person.....
So honestly sister to sister I wouldn't take it as a compliment
hugs♥
-
I told my kids................I never interfered with you lives..............they would say "no Mom, but everytime we saw you, you would try to "feed" us.....................or you would always be in the kitchen waiting on Daddy.........."Oh and yea Mom, how about everytime we asked someone other then you to babysit the kids, you would get your ass up in the air"............................and "you always the best cook, that showed everyone else up, and didn't even know you were doing it".
So I laugh when they say those things, but meddle in their lives....................never, I had a mother-in-law, who tried to rule my husband, so I knew what that was like...............but she never got away with it................................actually your better then me Sheila.............at least you say "rest in peace"..............I frankly don't care whether she rests in peace or not.............hahahahahaha
-
Mine did rule her son my EX
She moved in with us in a 1 bedroom apartment where the bathroom was through our bedroom.
OOh ducky let me not start.
Mother and son stole my soul they made me miserable.....and one day when I was 7 months pregnant with my second child he started to cheat on me.....and when the baby was 7 weeks old he left with her
I older DD was only 3 and i raised them all bymyself but everything happens for a reason. I taught them humanity love and respect to every person that we we were all equal....
THE END
-
Sorry i don't know why suddenly it hit me tonight it was 31 years ago.
-
I have long ago given up on offering my kids any advice...unless they ask for it. I used to do it quite often, until they began calling it "the lecture series", so I got the hint!
Now I just wait patiently until they've fallen on their a$$ and beg me for advice. Of course, by then, it usually costs me money!
I was married three times and was lucky to have good MIL's. Some of them liked me better than their sons! I'm no longer married....struck out the third time....but my boyfriend's mother is 97 and like a MIL to me. I only want to live that long if I'm like her. She's got all her senses, takes no medications, gets around with no help, and could still drive a car if only she would get a hearing aid....did I mention she's stubborn as a mule!
-
shelia888: Sad as it might have seemed, that was probably the best thing that could have ever happened....getting that jerk out of your life.
My kids father was the same way...left me with 4 kids to support and never gave me a dime! I didn't bother to chase him because I felt I could do it on my own and I did. I so understand your statement about them stealing your soul!
I have tried to teach my DGD's that they must stay in school and educate themselves so that they can maintain their financial independence. They can then be with someone because they "choose" not because they "need".
Be very proud of what you accomplished!
-
KAARA.....Thank you for your beautiful words.
One thing he did that he paid child support until they were 21 and loved his daughters.
I know it in my heart that if he stayed my girls would never grow up the way they did.
And I would be in a locked up Mental Institution.
Good Morning Sisters.
-
I was married "1 time to 1 man", but honestly, the marriage was not made ;in heaven.......oh yea, it was done in a church, but that was as close to heaven as it could get.
He was a great provider, a good man, but honestly, he was one of the moodiest bastards I could have ever chose................I guess the best way to describe him was "when he was good, he was very very, good, but when he was bad he was horrid"............................I use to say "when the king is happy, everyone is suppose to be happy", but, "when the king is not happy .....run like hell"............
He was a great father, and a good husband, but maybe I expected more.................who knows, maybe it was me..........I have been known to not go down without a battle, and I think he appreciated someone more "passive", and I would not allow that...................and my 3 daughters are the same way..............
It was comical..........when my son spoke to the BC surgeon the day I was diagnosed. (he ran to the hospital when he heard it, cause he was the closest one).................................he said to the Dr. as he was walking out the door..........................."cancer has no idea who it picked to mess with this time", this woman is brutal, and doesn't lose".................the Dr. smiled and said "good, that is what we need"
So men will be men, and there are the good, and the not so good, but just because I don't have a "penis" does not make me any less important................ok, now I'm gonna find the Vodka...........................love ya ladies.
-
Ducky....You've got that right!! Pour one for me! My boyfriend can be a little moody too, but when he is I kick his a$$! I didn't sign on for that, and he knows it. That's why we aren't married...keeps us both on our toes. He takes me down a peg or two once in a while!

What's wrong with this picture/ I hate it.
