Hi Ladies.......someone suggested an over 70's thread..................thought it did sound like a good idea.............we do make up a lot of the BC patients out there, so let's hear from some of the "Oldies", but Goodies, about how they are managing, BC..........I love the "youngsters", and you can join us too...........................Let's get something going here......Wink

    Ok, Granny.............I'll get you for that.................PROBABLY SLEEPING NOW.............do you realizie that was 2 hours ago, which would have made it 9pm..........................I was in the middle of my family-room floor...............practicing my "ballroom" steps, you probably didn't hear..........I have been asked to be on "Dancing With the Stars", and Max is going to be my partner..............oh be still my heart........................hahahahahahhahahaha...............I just had a visual of me in one of those skimpy outfits that the ladies wear.

    Sey you come here anytime you want.........love ya girlfriend.............and any of the rest of the "sista's" who want to see how the "older half" live.......................hahahahahha...........

    You GUYS!!!!  I think I qualify for the oldest?  I am 74!!!  I just don't FEEL like it!  Okay little Kantalope....AND Ducky.... Do we know anything that those "girls" don't know?  Ha, ha!  I won't tell if YOU won't!  

    I think we're just so fortunate that we didn't get BC until we were older.... 

    It's supposed to SNOW here tonight and tomorrow!  And the high is supposed to be only 34!!!  EEEgads, I'll freeze my make-up off!   I must dust-off my muck-luks....and get out my leg-warmers out. 

    Chabba!  You barely qualify...Wink  But OKAY....Geez, I hate to hear people whine....Of COURSE you can be here!!!!!  Do you drink?  I mean I do....on occasion....Do you cuss?  Us gals NEVER do.....Ha, ha, ha, HA!    If you know Kantalope, you know the answer to THAT one.... She only does when she is awake...!

    What can we talk about, other than how all of our parts just HURT sometimes!    I was just told by a Pharmacist to take the Arthritis strength Tylenol, instead of Aleve....! Other than that, I am good......just that I can't HEAR.... So you have to shout!

    I had started a thread called "Am I the oldest one here?" when I was first diagnosed.... But it slowly just died off!     So if you guys stay, I will....  But only if I can be the oldest! xoxo

    Well Chevy, I hate to burst your bubble, and this is a contest I didn't want to win, but how does "76" grab ya............................yea, hate to admit it, but that is my age................and yes to all, so glad we did get this "devil" at a later age................

    You BOTH were in bed when I got up!  We had to take DD to the shuttle for her trip to Orlando... So DH and I got up at 3:15 A/M!!!  Ha! 

    Dang ducky!  I just wanted to be the oldest....which meant I knew more than ANYone on here...Ha, ha!  Guess not though...Undecided

    Kantalope goes out all night and plays cards with the boys....she probably talks dirty too.... and Lord only knows what else.......

    Chevyboy - could you PHULLLeeeze keep the snow out in your part of the countryTongue out It's supposed to come east, by the weekend - snow on Halloween in MA is not a great idea!  We have those wonderful "Rag Shag" parades, and little kiddies wandering about, and just the thought of SNOW, so early - which is ALL WRONG - I saw a few of the woolybear caterpillars - and they didn't have that much "black" furry bits.  Mostly all brown.

    My husband always yelled at me for using foul language, but back then it was mild (if you can imagine that)................I use to tell him.................Guess what Bucko...........if I didn't swear to get shit out of m;y system............you and your kids would have  left this earth long ago, and not from natural causes.................I had 7 babies 6 where kids, an 1 was my husband.....

    He use to say to me ............."you could never work for me", "you would get tired just watching me work, (construction worker)................and I told him back..................I do work deary, and guess what "IF THIS WAS A REAL JOB..............I WOULD ............QUIT......

    That always got a laugh............he never listened to my ranting.........he would just look and walk away..

    So my Potty Mouth..............keeps me sane....................and also keeps away the crowds...........................................hahahahahahahahahahaha

    Jo...........so your an original "southern belle".................hey been to your Ohio neck of the woods...............my grandson was the QB for Carnagie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh when they won the championship I believe in 2007..................I was in Ohio for a few football games........we would drive from Pa. (philly area) up to wherever the games were being played either home (Pittsubrgh at Gehsling Stadium) or wherever the Away games took us...........we were loyal fans, and would leave Philly, drive the 5 to 7 hours, go to the game, and then get in the car after seeing my grandson following the game, and then drive back home another 5 to 7 hours again depending where we were......................if we were at his home games we would take him to dinner, and then go home.......................what a joy it was watching him play...........he was so good, and I was, and still am so proud of him...................

    Now I go to Lancaster, Pa...........to watch my other 2 grandsons who play for Franklin and Marshall College..............

    So I am familiar with Ohio....................also we passed through there many years ago on our way to Washington State when my husband was in the service............we were married in 56, and he was stationed in Yakima.   Was there for 1 year, and then back home to Philly............Those were the good old days..........................If only I could go back for just a little while...............ok, now that I just depressed myself ...............I think I'll go find the Vodka..............hahahahha

    Kantalope!  You are going to control your mouth?  Oh sure...RIGHT!!!!  Wink  It's okay to cuss & generally raise all kinds of dickens with your poker buddies, but WE are LADIES!  Innocent  Ha, ha!  Now THAT'S funny!   We have to play nice, so we don't cause a conflaguration.   Don't spell check that, because there IS no word like that.

    Sunflowers.... Did you ever see those huge furry yellow caterpillars years ago?  My little Brother and I used to "catch" them, and put them in jars with leaves and sticks, and watch them make cocoons!   And it's raining now....supposed to turn to snow tonight, and when we wake up, maybe 4-6 inches they say.....  And the high tomorrow is only going to be 27....What happened to Fall?  Did I miss it or something?  The leaves are all so beautiful right now....

    Ducky....I used to love watching our 2 Grand-sons play Hockey!  And yes....I miss those times so much....I miss them just being "little" again....  And another thing....Am I supposed to be "refined?"  I can't be that yet....You mean like sugar?  You mean POLISHED! 

     Jo!  How are you?  You were one of the first gals to kind of calm my fears when I first posted.  I'll never forget that....Man, I was sooooo afraid.  It's almost been 2 years...since my biopsy!  And I'm doing great....!  More or less....Ha!

    Hey SoCalLisa.............come on over, your as welcome as any almost 70 year old broad........................we love you all..............just lets make it fun, and stick together to fight the "beast"....................If we can't kill it with medicine, rads, and chemo, we will kill it with our conversations....................love ya all....

    And yes...............I am a lady............................at least last time I checked................hahahaha................

    I am so pissed..........I pulled the charger out of the end of my cell phone, forgetting to press the little button,...................and all the guts came out of my charger........................just got another charger in the mail, but the damn thing charges, but the phone won't hold the charge it gives me................now I have to deal with the freaks I bought it from........................hopefully I didn't destroy the guts on the inside of the phone.......................hmmmmmmmmmmm, that is a possibility.....................just another headache to deal with............oh well.................we use to have a saying, me and the kids..............when something would go wrong we would say .........................well at least its not cancer...........................guess I can't say that anymore.................now we just say  "DEAL WITH IT".......

    Morning me!  Guess no-one else is awake yet.  Ducky, your cell-phone?   Can you call your the company & whine to them & tell them what happened? 

    I did that once with Sprint, because it quit taking pictures, and they sent me a new and better one.  I even get the service for $15 a month, for 150 a minutes, because "I am old."....Ha, ha!  I told her I WANT a cell phone, but I don't want to fool around on it, or do anything fancy, or have the Internet service.  Just a phone to call or text on.  So it's a great price I think!

    Sunflowers!  It snowed last night!  And very slippery out!  Had to try & "shake" the snow out of the little Aspen tree I have, because it rained, then froze, then the snow...So all the trees in the neighborhood have a lot of broken branches down....Undecided  It's only 31 degrees out now....

    Morning Chrissy and Lisa!  And the rest of you gals....Hope you are behaving slightly....Ha!  And Lisa, you don't have to WAIT....We won't tell Ducky...

    Oooohhh,,,,Chevy - beginning to sound like winter?  Who stole Fall?  It was so short - ours cuz the RAINS beat up the trees, and the leaves hardly turned colors - RARE for western MA, just south of Vermont. In the low 40's this am. Ratz.  Had to turn on the heat - with fuel oil at $3.50 a gallon ( it was $2.50 last year) I am quite cheap with heat.  Rain ( again/still) now, flurries expected in a few days - which will be good for you in CO, cuz you'll know it's "gone East".....

    Almost November - does anyone else LOATHE ( worse than hate) PinkOctober?Frown

She will just get "time out" if she sinks back into her old ways....Wink  We can do this, without talking like my Husbands little drinkin' buddies.  He comes back talking just LIKE them....

    Yes, the snow is causing power-outages all over Denver....and breaking lots of limbs.  Branches falling on houses and cars, & wrecks all over the highways!  It's supposed to clear out by tomorrow, but we KNEW this one was coming...xoxo

    Chevy .................Oh my God I can't belive the snow.........the picture is beautiful, but the slippy, sliddy we can all do without.........especially this old broad.  The charger seems to be working today......I'm hoping it isn't the phone.

    MomoftwoWesties...................we can always hold classes on how to cuss.......what you need is a tatoo, on your left arm that says "ARE YOU TALKING TO ME", then a large truck, and you ride with your left arm out the window, and let everyone see you mean business. .............my husband use to say to me.................you have a truck driver mouth..all you need is a tatooon your arm, and a Dodge Ram...............yet, I never swore around the kids..........don't know how I managed that..............

    Wel ladies we here in Pa. are waiting for some rain.................they are saying a N'Easter by the weekend.................so pull out your favorite Woolies, fleecey robe, and have some Hot Chocolate.................don't forget the marshmallows.Tongue out

    That snow is beautiful but I'm so glad we live where it rarely happens.  I grew up where that kind of snow is the norm and you often have blizzards.  We have been here for 21 years.  The first two were bad winters allover the area but since then we have only had snow a half a dozen times and except for one time which looked like that picture it was only an inch or so and barely lasted 24 hours if that.  It rarely gets cold enough that we need to scrape frost from the car windows.  I'm so glad we live here.  And no I don't want to move to a warmer climate, I like four seasons, I just don't want constant snow and ice in the winter.

    And yes along with this Brooklyn mouth I do have 1 tattoo and thanks to bc i got 5 more.

    granny - I just watched an interview with a BC researcher with University of Wash and Fred Hutchinson and one of her patients in clinical trials for a vacine.  Her focus is on a cancer associated with her2.  The patient has been fighting it for 17 years.  She was getting her third and final injection of the vacine and already has significant reduction in tumors. 

    If you Google "breast cancer vacine human trials" you will find listings from all over the country.
