Thinking Out Loud.....

Good Morning
Meece what a beautiful thing..and you watched him to sleep.
Hey Linda.....Today is a sunny day. I'm not doing much.
Natalie is calling me all morning about Black Friday LOL
Time for coffee....................
-
Rebekah is doing Black Friday, I will have nothing to do with that madness. Hope everyone had a nice TG. We did but I know now next year I will be going over to my Dad's place at the assisted living, it is just too much for him to get around and we are not set up for a handicap person. Just putting him on and off the toilet was a big chore for me and DD. Poor Dad, I wonder what he thinks when his daughter and grand-daughter have to help him toilet himself right down to wiping his bottom. Make me want to cry for him

Sandy - glad you were able to get together with family - hope "interesting" means it was fun!
Glad everyone is safe, Meece. Hope you got to spend a lot of time holding Patch.
Hope everyone else's days were nice.
Post mortem on my Turkey Day: My turkey took forever to cook - actually it was probably done, but I kept finding spots in the thigh that were 170 give or take so I was afraid. I have GOT to find out where exactly the thermometer has to be and if it really is cooked at 170 in the thigh. I went online and found all sorts of conflicting information. Waiting for it to get to 180 dries out the white meat - even though I put foil on top. I guess if the thermometer is reading colder in some places, I have to go by that. The thermometer in the wrong place (next to bone or in body cavity) reads too hot, not too cold, right? And I had 2 thermometers, so it wasn't broken. So sad.
Well, I have a few weeks to figure it out before I get to do it all again for Christmas!
Black Friday - I stay as far away from that as I can get. Hate crowds.

Great Thanksgiving dinner at my daughters with her, and her family..................really a wonderful day....................heard from the other 5, and many, many, of the grandchildren.........the ones who didn't text, call, or email me, or actualy come in person, I made sure I did one of the latter to them..................kind of makes them realize............"hey I should have done it first" hahahaha...............being funny............I never worry about the ones who don't bother, because that is giving them too much thought...............I think about the ones who cared enough to get in touch..................................
-
Very good point Ducky! Youa re very profound.
I hate black friday. i would rather pay 20% more to avoid it. Did buy a car today, so hubby can take that to his new job.
-
Makratz..........That has always been my belief..........When I would hear my husband (when he was alive), or any of my 6 children complain about someone not attending a function. I would always say............"don't be concerned about the ones who didn't show up"..........because you insult the ones who did.....................It usually worked, at least until the next time.............................hahahahaha...............
-
Me I love Black Friday, I didn't go was tired last day of 7 days on, but went in previous years and my daughter went and the boys went with her....I love the madness, lol.
Linda what kind of car did you get?
Ducky.....there is a method to your madness...
Meece, so how bad is the car?
Deb love the pix of your father and how is Reb.
Shiela, what did you do today?
Me went to Macy's and bought me a coat and told them they could put me in for a couple of hours.
-
Got a camry. Good on gas, thats what he needs.
Hope you are feeling better Sandy.
SHEILA???????????????????????
I just love your posts, ducky. very insightful!
-
Camry's are awesome, congrats!!
-
Hope you are all doing well. I have a terrible cold, probably from the person on the plane who didn't know how to cover her mouth. I nicely asked her if she could do so and she bitched me out as loudly as possible.....I can't see the baby and it's killing me.
-
Don't you hate rude people like that. You should have told her you had some really bad disease and coughed all over her. Sorry you can;t see the baby!
-
sorry you can't see the baby Diane!!
-
People are so rude with their coughs. My friend ended up with pneumonia when she was pregnant after sitting in front of a rude coughing person in church.
Hope you feel better soon! My parents came down with the flu when my DD was only 2 weeks old. We were all so upset that they couldn't come visit.
People who don't keep their germs to themselves need to be SLAAAAAPED!

My DH got to go today and held her for quite a while. She looks like a mini-football in his hand. She is 1/3 the size of the turkey I cooked. Won't be that way next year

Did our good deeds for the day. First took MIL to lunch for her birthday. It was Wednesday and we would usually celebrate at Thanksgiving, but we weren't with that family so we took her to brunch today. Then we put up their Christmas tree, did a few other miscellaneous tasks, and swept up their back porch. They had a broken window - stupid people at the glass place didn't cut the glass right - it was wider at the bottom and wouldn't fit into the frame. Then before they finished fixing the window, we had the snowstorm and a branch fell into the space where the window would have been - so I guess that was good - except that enabled the squirrels to climb down the branch and into the porch where they found a big bag of birdseed which they helped themselves to and made a gigantic mess with birdseed everywhere. So we swept out that mess. I don't know why the squirrels hadn't already gone into that room with the window missing - maybe they didn't notice?

LOL, Foots!!! I love it!! Don't be a turkey!!
Your day sounds as busy as mine, Chris. DH and I have been working on our bathroom. Someday I will post pics, but I don't have a camera any more. ;(
-
Did your boys steal your camera or did it break...
You need to hurry up and finish your house so you can come help me with mine!
Hee hee - Foots called Sheila a turkey...
I'm having apple cider and Malibu rum... Will have to elliptical extra tomorrow.
-
((((Hugs))))
Whew...working on catching up here! -

HI Foots .................
-
(((FUZZY)))♥
-
Hey fuzzy!! Good to see you!
I lost my camera around Halloween at my sons soccer game. A mute girl on his team asked me to help her use the bouse house. We ran like crazy to it, carrying all her stuff and my camera. My camera never made it back. ;( I love taking pictures, it was not fancy, just a nikon cool pics camera, but I loved it.
Sheila??? Is that you???
Rum and cider sounds perfect! Can you believe it's 50 out right now??? LOVE IT!!
-
DH and I dropped our Cannon camera a couple months ago. I was hoping to have a replacement by now, and hinted strongly that he get one on Black Friday since I had to work and he was off. No luck. He's probably saving the idea as what to ge me for Christmas. He tends to get me the necessities as gifts.
Matt's truck suffered damage to the tailgate, and he was unhurt. The guy in the Escalade that drove into him is probably suffering a bit more, from the ticket and damage to his vehicle.
