how about drinking?

No worries Lori....actually I was glad you bumped me into da pond.....nice cool pool, VERY good as I was having hot flashes! Good words to Kymn, I thought the same thing when reading her post, but didn't say it (forgot!). She is NOT the bad one in that situation, and glad you set her straight!
-
Ahhhh me hot too.............jumping in wit you K...........look out!

Kymnee, don't let your guard down sweetie....you are doing good!
-
I'll take about 100 Dead Lawyers, thanks Goldie. Sorry I'm not up for chatting but have read all. Love you girls. Cheers!
-
Hola chica's! Love the pic of Kathy with her golden locks! Course, with a face that perty any color would look good!
NM, you are right, shopping for smaller sizes is good, but as for clothes, not bras, I was shopping for bigger sizes to put my new thanks to cancer fat a$$ in!! Oh well, at least I now have some clothes that fit!
And Kymn, I agree with both Lori and Kathy, so won't say the same thing again. Only want to add that when you walked out those doors, you weren't alone, God was right there with you, and is with you still. Sometimes that's easy to forget, so hope the reminder helps. Glad you reach out to us, but don't forget to reach out to him as well. Love ya, girlie!
Just got home from bucket loads of errands. Gonna go take some medicine for this back paint that won't go away, then straighten up around the house before DD get's off the school bus. Cheers Dears!!
-
Kymn...congrats on finishing the "journey"....we're all here celebrating with you.....
NM...glad you found a therapist...hope its the right match for you.....I think DS would love to move out but he can't afford it and keep the life style he wants.....he's planning a 500+ mile bike ride this summer....and wants a new bike....DH told him great...you work buy it!!! Part of DS stress is quitting "mj".....DH told him if he was going to be so irritable he would rather he go back to it!!! DS is 22+, so going to college part-time is not really a good option for him....he wants to finish and move on to "real" jobs......he took 2 years off post high school...we can't keep him on our health insurance if he goes part-time, but if he makes that decision, he will get his own insurance....at his age, once he moves out, he will need to support himself.....I will support him as long as he is in school full-time.....
For those who asked...a Berner is a Bernese Mountain Dog....and they are big dogs....not giants but large....okay well,my Charley was 125# and his sister Rosey was 85#...I told my DH that if his friend who is breeding lived closer I might be tempted to get another one and DH reminded me that as great as our two Berners were, we were unlucky...Charley died at 4 of lymphoma and a year later Rosey died of bladder cancer.....they were so young!!! We still have a dog....my son's 8 year old Shepherd/Malamute mix who he adopted in JUly 2009.....Bear is a great dog...part of me wants another dog and part of me doesn't.....too much sh** emotionally that I am dealing with or should I say not dealing with.....Won't bore you all with the details as you have heard me before.....Well...I got to finish a report for work today (even though my work week has ended) as I should really have finished it yesterday....be back later
-
Hey girls,
Thanks so much for joining me yesterday, hope you all had fun
Spent my pre-op time (forever!!) thinking bout you all and remembering that I wasn't alone, so stayed pretty calm. HOWEVER.....once I was lying down with that HUGE light above me and my arm strapped down....I started to panic............I looked to my right, and there on the bottom shelf of a prep table was a foil tray like the ones we use for cooking turkey,!!! It was holding a bunch of wrapped gadgets............a smile crossed my face, Dr asked "ready?" and then it was nighty night Cindy!Just wanted to share that with you. Just back from my CT/PET & MUGGA tests, have a few chores to manage, but will be back later to join you all for a cocktail in my beautiful new lounge chairs!!
Hugs!!
Cindy
-
Thanks for the nice words, Allison! And Cindy, I am not surprised that the foil was right there for you to see when you needed to! Amazing, isn't it. Glad you did well, and hope all the tests today will bring good results too. Beans, I wondered where all those DOTD's disappeared to today...but if you need them, you can have all you want! Lori, Wow....a cannonball....I am impressed! LOL. Ohhhhh Karen, a Bernese Mtn Dog....never seen one, but nice to know what a Berner is. And I was wrong earlier...I had an Old English Sheepdog (not a St. Bernard)...where is my bwain???
Right now they are having a tree lighting in an upscale shopping area....that is the city's tree....so pretty. BUT too cold tonight (and will get down to 27 or so), so decided not to go out for it this year. They usually do the fake snow too, and when its cold like this, it feels/looks realistic!
YAY it is Pau Hana time!!! If anyone needs some dwinks but can't have any, I will be your designated dwinker....at no charge! Who is still here in the HTL???
CHug a Lug,
Kathy

-
Mrs. Scuby. I'm gonna put in an order for some hot Krispy Kremes for your Bday breakfast!!
-
Is Scuby's b;day tomorrow?
Been trying to find the best fares to see my folks in Florida and then go to Toronto to see my kids during winter vacation.....the best fares to south FL are either landing late Sunday night or Monday....MOm said she would do whatever is best....hate to make her drive in the dark....I would drive home from the airport, but she would still have to get there...there is a red eye that gets there early Sunday morning....but it is a connecting flight....need to figure it all out...want to book teh tickets before the fares go up again.....don't want to make MOm drive at night, but want to make the most of the time.....
-
Sorry I bin out..not feelin that great today.

Love & hugs ~beanZ

-
Congratulations kymn and happy birthday scuby, you share the same birthday as my dh. And we started the party early which should explain the following: I'm toasting you with croatian cherry liqueur, lithuanian and french beer, champagne, vermouth and whiskey scotch, cheers girls!
-

-
Happy Birthday to Scuby
-
You know it juliet, health conscious as ever;) we even have oranges in the drinks.I'm getting vitamin c
-
wow, you have to be our resident diet expert with your commitment to health
-
Hahaha, juliet you're making me feel guilty. I think I better have wahine take over for me. She seemed up for the task.
-
well undercover or can i shorten it to undy ! the only reason i'm dri nking tea is that i have a appointment this morning but i think you would be an ideal choice to make sure we are all drinking healthy! the plus is you get to instruct the staff on a one to one basis
-
Undy, huh? Kind of catchy. My goal is to ensure unsafe and irresponsible drinking on this thread. Hope to help any way I can
Now back to my movies. Just saw Bridesmaids-first time I cried watching a movie. And not for the sentimental scenes. Cheers! -
Scuby checkin in! Kymn, lots been said, but you are awesome. Know you were alone walking out, but lots were with you in spirit, let the next step in the journey begin! HUGZ!
Cindy, glad you got through, hope the wait (now a 4 letter word in my book) isn't too long!
Thanks for de Bday wishes - you gals are awesome! Allison or Beans, can't page back, the Great Barrier Reef is high on my diving bucket list! That and the Galapagos, had hoped to dive the Galapagos this fall but, as many of you know, the TE's can't go diving (I got people working in it!). So I will dive and drink virtually with all of youze! Plus celebrating 20 yrs with DH as of 11/23, time flies. Lovely day with DH, brunch (bloody marys), spa, hair, nails, dinner - DUs (Dear Us) day, was gonna go to the gym first, but think my hot tub needs a visit! Lol!
A toast to all of you, this isn't a journey I would choose, but if I have to be on this road, it is so much better knowing there are kindred souls traveling it as well, each of you, at different times, have given me a smile, a laugh, a kick in the a$$ (Lori and the big girl panties!), etc. when I most needed it! Mr. Big, Hunk, Jock, Pants - let the champagne flow!
Can't get to ICONS, but will check in when the nail polish dries!
Scuby Luv, Lisa (holy cow, 47? Really,?!!?) -
Okay, paged back, it was Dorkiest with the GBR, should of known! Tanks (excuse de pun)! Chrissy, I will get there and I will get to Adelaide! Beans, the scuba kitty and scuba WD are awesome, tank u, tank u, tank u! Gonna take my snorkel and mask with me in the tub, remember when I had to sit on de bucket to keep the damn foobs dry? Ahhh, life is good! Cheers my Dears!
-
but if we add fruit to our cocktails don't that make them healthy
-
Cindy, glad you got through everything A-OK and even had our Junie there with you. When do you start your chemo?
Congrats (again) Kymn. Always good to get those behind you.
Yummmmmm, Krispy Kreme's......thanks MrsV! And Kymn is Rat Bastard Free X 2!
Beanie Baby, get it together and come have some fun and dwinks wif us.
LMAO @ Shannon wanting to ensure our unsafe and irresponsible drinking. I'll drink to that!
Scuby, I talked to Beans, and since she has a beach home, she said we could all go over there for your par-tay. We can go diving in da Pacific and just have a girls weekend there. What do ya say?
I'm in! Never been diving before, so I guess it's time. Lisa I really hope you have a super day and that you and DH had an awesome day together too. Happy Anniversary as well. I think us west coast goils can get on the magic party bus, and we will send the party UFO for you goils in the east and Canada.
See you all at Beanie's!
*glub* *glub* Happy Birthday Scuby *glub* *glub*

I brought cake too.
