Hi, my sweet, wonderful tami friends! Am lying comfortably morning after in the hospital. Just wanted to thank you and let you know all went well. Despite the scar tissue from the hysterectomy they were able to do the surgery laporoscopically. This is what i was hoping for as recovery will be faster and easier. Had a really great, determined surgeon. Hopefully will go home today which is so so great.
Thanks to ALL of you for being in my pockets. We joke but I really felt you here with me.
Love, Shari -
That is great news Shari. Take it easy and hopefully you will heal quickly
-
Shari-so good to hear from you and yeah on the procedure being laproscopic. That's how mine was done and I recovered pretty quickly. Get some rest, hopefully at home and don't overdo it.

Elizabeth so happy that your first is behind you....it doesn't get any easier I hate to say that as I am having my 4th one since all my surgeries on Monday and I get paranoid for the obvious reasons and then I always leave happy, so a lot of stress but heck I seem to stress out all the time now over little things these days....hope you are celebrating the good news....
Hello lovely Tammi ladies....cocktails anyone?

Today was a long-a** day. A bit hungover from Shari's (thanks ladies for the lift!) - still having lot of pain from my ooph/hyst on Monday, and then having to go to 3 Dr.s appts (and because of where I live, we drive 1 1/2 hours each way to the Drs) - bone density, six month mammogram on Righty, and a spinal MRI - because the pain in my back is so debilitating. We're still hoping the pain is a SE of the Tamoxifen, but I stopped taking that over a month ago and switched to Arimidex. We'll get results back on Monday.
Because I got so constipated from the surgery/Percoset, then the stool softeners started to kick in and we started to careen into the OTHER direction, with all the accompanying cramping and yick - with fresh abdominal sutures (they'd hoped to be able to do the 'lady bit' surgery vaginally/laproscopic assist - but - and boy does this open things up for bad jokes - my vagina was too small).
Today was only the second time in this journey that I just felt like crawling into a corner and saying - I'm done.
And I wanted to thank all you Ladies, I don't post much but I lurk (and sneak onto trips for espresso martinis) and just knowing you all helps so much. I'm so scared of what the MRI may show, but I know I'll get through this.
Off to sleep, and get my bowels in order. I am going to have to pass on the pillow fight for now! Can we have another one in a couple of weeks?
All my love,
Jenn
-
jenn((((hugs))))
-
Oh Jenn so sorry you are having to deal with all this and we will be right beside you each and every step of the way. Vent, we are here on your journey with you. Those darn pills that are supposed to do wonders really can screw with someones body......sending you love and know we are all thinking of you!!!
-
Jenn,
Hang in there and don't worry. We'll be happy to "whack" you once you're up to the pillow fight. Rest up and feel better soon. Please do let us know the MRI results once you know as we are here for you.
-
Jenn, so sorry you aren't feeling well. I was in a lot of pain after my ooph, and my bowels stopped working for 5 days because of all the drugs. I know how you feel. But it will get better. Hang in there, rest up, and take it easy. Sending you hugs!
Sandi -
Jenn.. Im so sorry so much is going on right now. I know sometimes we really do want to sit down and say Im done with all this no more... we are with you all the way my friend! It can be so overwhelming sometimes but a day at a time and we can do this! . please keep us posted on your results and continue to heal and take care of yourself too! extra gentle hugs to you!!!!!!
Elizabeth.... congrats on your first mammo all clear glad to hear the good news!
hope all my dear tammy ladies are having a good weekend!

Hi Tink and others! Just finished rads on Friday and filled my prescription for tamoxifen. Guess I'll start taking tomorrow. Any advice? What am I in for?
-
HI Kay congrats on finishing Rads!!!! welcome aboard the Tammy train. It seems everyone reacts different to Tam with their se. Mine come and go fo rme the most constitent ones are moods issues and sleep/fatigue issues and hot flashes. I am also pre menapausal. I split my dose into am and pm doses and that helps a bit. Hopefully you will not be in for much and it will be a smooth ride, these ladies are great and we are here for whatever you may need!!

-
Kay - Welcome to the tammi train. When I got my script filled I just decided to take the plunge and take the little white pill. For the first several weeks I did a split dose like Tink as I had tummy issues with Armidex and Femara. I got so tired of the pill splitting I decided to take the whole dose at once in the morning with a glass of milk. I think my body has adjusted to it because I don't need the milk anymore. SEs have been minimal and doable. Hot flashes are not bad at all, had some hair thinning but on the advice of these wonderful ladies, I now take Biotin and my hair loss has not only stopped but I have more hair. Just think of tammi as an added insurance policy. You are going to do great.
