I have heard and read at various places that after chemo, + surgery + radiation and while on tamoxifen , if a women is NED for 3 years from date of surgery ,her prognosis then thereon is that of a women with negative nodes

is this true?

I wonder how being HER2+ factors in?

I like it too. Have read that most Her2 recurrances happen in the first three years, then the recurrance rate goes down. The thinking is that is because it is a fast growing cancer. ER+, Her2- is a slower growing cancer and early recurrances (in the first three years) are much more rare than with Her2+. I think after 3 years the playing field levels out for Her2+. I like thinking the same about node +.

Boy, Many, that sounds great to me!! Being a 10 positive node girl & coming up on 3 years since diagnosis/surgeries, I would love to think of myself as being in the same position as a node negative girl!! My best to you....we'll all be just fine!!!

oh i will take it!! nice to hear something other than the "well you had nodes and that raises your risk blah blah blah" said with a funeral face ARGH!!! so sick of that.
