Good Morning ladies, welcome Bernie think I saw you on another thread a few months ago. Happy Belated birthday and anniversary.
Well I made it through another weekend, they certainly are the hardest too much time to think. The rat bastard is now living across the street from me at one of our friends....I use the term lightly as he is a snake if you ever met one....house. He didnt make the trailor payment on friday so I had to fork out 200 cause my name is still on it, still fighting to get my name off of it and as I want to assume the mortgage I need to keep my credit good with the bank. He have me this huge sob story on wed about how broke he was he had no money for food, nowhere to stay etc etc wanting me to switch mortgage payments with him. I didnt thank god as I found out he went to Edmonton about 5 hours away from here to watch an Oilers and Rangers hockey game with a friend....hmmmm no money hey....nice. I am just a sucker and am getting pretty pissed off at my heart it is time to freakin catch up cause I am sick and tired of being sad over this asswhole. I mean what is wrong with me, he treated me like crap, has been cruel beyond belief why on earth is my heart still missing him???????? I am messed up .
Dorothy so glad to see you are feeling better, Kathy how are the folks? Thanks Goldie I like the blond too will be excited when I have a bit more to work with. Scuba I joined you in the tub last night did you feel me kicking you lol. Mrs Vino unfortunelty I havent gotten a chance to get to know you yet but you sound awsome...Gail...hmmm I think I missed what is going on with you right now hope all is well. Chrissy so glad you had a great trip and are home safe and sound. Claire you still amaze me with all your energy do you still bike in the winter???
Ok off to get some work done just really needed to touch base with all of you, sorry if my brain forgot some
Hugs Kymn

oh I forgot Karen....Hi Karen
-
NM.....what a pain on medical coverage. I had that happen years ago when I lived north of NYC and most specialists were miles away from where I lived. Fortunately, my wrist break wasn't serious, so not a problem seeing someone in Manhattan. I am sure though that you will figure things out.
Sounds like you used some new muscles doing the corn maze walk. I usually hurt for about four days following something that really taxes my body.
We have Top Pot Doughnuts here in Seattle. As good as it gets. Plus java places everywhere. One got shut down because the servers were serving more than java and pole dances. Name should have given their real business away: Java Juggs.
This place is seriously caffienated. Arlington is really a modest sized town, and think I counted something like seven drive-through java places, one advertising triple shots. Things were picking up at the Saloon, though only a few minutes past noon. They serve java where I ate lunch too.
I need to get rolling. Work, oncologist appointment, and Eat Local Now dinner this evening. - Claire
-
Whew, this was gonna be my 5 minute pick me up vist to get through the day (still not sleeping, will give it a bit more, than call the onco to figure out options). But that aside, quite the morning in the HTL. Will make it brief
Lori and Kath - cheers to you, so glad you had fun and there were enuf drinks for all!
Bernie Ellen glad you enjoyed your day, hope this one is passing as quickly and painlessly as possible.
NM, as always lovely to see your posts, they make this day that shall not be named better! Glad you had fun, despite the pain. Sorry for the insurance crud, hope you can find the best way through the mess!
Kymn, I know you are in Alberta, know Canada is big and Toronto is in Ontario, but I will be hugging you from your side of the border tomorrow, so a little closer than normal Kath it is all work, will only be on the ground for 24 hours. Kymn - You aren't all messed up, you have been thru absolute crap that you didn't deserve! You are continuing to keep moving forward, whether you see it or not! You told him no, didn't buy his BS. That's progress! Plus, you're posting about the rest of us - you are seeing a bigger picture now then you were before! You are moving on and will keep moving on til you get through it. Hope you are giving yourself credit for all that you are doing to deal
with this. Just like rockin the blond hair, letting yourself smile does good for you. Hugs!
Claire, love your part of the world! Is beautiful, unfortunately as far as caffiene, am finding in early days on the tamoxifen, that I am vibrating after 1 1/2 cups of coffe, for like hours. Am experimenting and cutting it out this week (will give that up before alcohol!!).
DorK, hope all is healing, resting and okay.
Oh well, my short visit now not short, putting me at risk of not getting to pee before my
afternoon begins, gotta jet.
Cheers all, think Miller Lite is sounding better than coffee right now anyway! Scuby. -
just a quick hello to all. not feeling like typing though.
prayers to you kymn. you r doing great. so proud that u refused rat bastard $, wtg. ughh, i'd like to wack him upside the head with my steel arm for what he has done.am proud of ya. hang w/ us.we love ya.
omg, me is whey hungover from memphis pau hana with kath n lori. .will twy to white later. need to find self service coffee. or delivery? now there is an idea......
when all else fails, sleep!
cheerZ!
-
DorK, Hope you feel like typing again soon, as I MISS your long posts. You gotta get better, hear me??? I think you were dwinking wid us via the phone signal, as we were in Nashville, not Memphis! Just a few hours away, thats all....LOL. (SO glad I am NOT the only one that gets things mixed up here, although you have an excuse as you should be ludey right now, but I don't have an excuse....auwe!).
Yes, ditto what everyone said to you Kymn, you are doing very good, just making it thru ea day. Esp love the words that Lisa wrote to you. WTG!!!!!
Um Claire, have you heard of KRISPY KREME donuts which are made here, hot and fresh??? I really don't indulge in them, but apparently they are very popular and I think they might just beat out your donut place. Just sayin..... Yuppers though, you have the coffee bragging rights!!!
Lisa, Thanx for keeping our Canada gals straight. I could not remember which area that Kymn lived it. But sounds like you will be bizzy every minute anyway. Hope you get to keep the airline miles!!
NM, OMG that sucks about the health insurance! Hate to hear that. But as much as you research, and check everything out, I have confidence that you will come up with a good solution. Just not good news to have to have yet ANOTHER thing to worry about and spend time on. You picked the PURFECT DOTD...."The Chatterbox"....thats what Lori and I did yesterday, thats for sure!
Lori, I am SO glad I waited to go to the skin place TODAY.....as she did laser all over my face...zapped spider veins I couldn't even see in the magnifying mirror....small brown spots, etc. Now I look like I have welts all over!!! She even got those little red bumps that come up (with age?). FREE since I won that $250 GC. I figured it would leave me all red and weird looking, and I was right. Hope your travels are super safe, today! Let me know whey you get home safely, ok?
Good thing my DD asked me to feed/check on her pet cockatiel. They thought he would be ok, but I realized he HAS NOT eaten in 2 days...he misses them, but she closed all the draperies, so it is dark too! After playing with him, I just sat on the sofa quietly for 30-40 min or so, and he kept climbing down to eat, over and over. I was SO HAPPY to see him eating. SO, instead of every-other-day me tinks me shud go ovah EVERY dey. Beans, oh Beans, where for art thou Beans??? I need a dose of Beanglish weally, weally badly. You see, I am still learning, and have a long way to go. Hope you get a chance to visit us.....your barstool is toooooo empty!
Karen, Gail, Bernie, Chrissy, Allison, and ebberybudy elseie (donn wanna miss annywun), hope you are all doing well. We need to get ready for another rocking party tomorrow for dear Dorkie!!!!!
edit: Rocking Birthday Party tomorrow for Allison, and on Wednesday for DorK!
Cheers Dears!
Kathy (risque wisque)
-
Howdy y'all! Oh wait, not in Texas anymore....lol! You girls have been busy busy while I was gone! Welcome Bernie, and happy belated Birthday and Anniversary!
NM, that insurance deal sucks! Hate that you're dealing with that.
Did one of you mention Claire having her bike shorts on backwards?? That's funny stuff!
Lori and Kathy, so glad you had a nice visit! Would love to meet any of you in person, and will plan on doing that! Kathy, I'm only 21/2 hours from Nashville. My brother lives there, and he and his family are coming for a visit next weekend.
I am sooooooo exhausted today! The trip was so awesome! I think I may have pickled my liver with all the partying! Got home around 9 last night, slept like a rock! Didn't want to get out of bed, but glad I did, because it has been a fantastic day! Let me catch y'all up.....
Had bloodwork done this am, and it was still low, and my insurance won't cover a neulasta $5,000 shot, so guess what? The pharmacist there knew what has been going on with me and how important it is I have this surgery, so he had been given a FREE SAMPLE of neulasta from the drug rep, and he let me have it!!!!! Yes, that's right ladies, I got me a big fat free neulasta shot today! Surgery is set for November 3rd!!! Woo Hoo! Then I came home, and my girlfriend from HS picked me up, took me out to lunch and shopping for my Birthday. It's not til tomorrow, but I typically celebrate all month. Have to say that shot is right up there as a best gift ever!
So now, I'm chilaxin on the couch, playing a little catch up. DH and DD are taking me out for Bday dinner tonight, as tomorrow am going out with my girlfriends. We're going to this cool place called sips-n-strokes. Everybody paints a cool picture, and they sell cocktails! You will have to check out the website. We planned this last week, and the same day we planned it, I got a huge package in the mail. Opened it, and it was a painting that my friend had done that got married this past weekend. Her girlfriends threw a shower for her there, and they did a wine glass with red wine coming out of it, so she sent it to me for my Birthday!
Ok, enough about me, just so excited!!
Kymn, no apologies in the HTL! Take care of yourself! Keep doing what you're doing girl, you can do this! And we will all help u with love, support, and encouragement!
Wahine, we have Krispy Kreme here, and whenever they have the sign lit that says "hot donuts" you have to go in. Nothing like a Krispy Kreme hot glazed! Yum!!
DorK, sorry you're not feeling well. Get your rest and feel better, cause we got some partying to do! My bday tomorrow, yours the next day, I'm sure there's something to celebrate the day after that......Feel Better!
And Scuby, you HAVE to start getting some sleep. Why wait another night? Call that Dr. Today! That's an order, lol! You don't want Pants to get mad and pull out the whip do ya? Lol
Don't mean to leave anyone out, but sooo sleepy, need a nap before dinner. Plus DD gets off school bus in a few, so Cheers Dears! -
OK, OK, now I catch on....you mean when I gather everyone's birthdays I actually have to LOOK at my list???? LOL. Thanks Allison....ok, its YOUR birthday tomorrow and DorK's is on Wednesday!!! Guess maybe if we partay for 2 straight nights, my bwain will start woiking!!! How neat that you are 2.5 mi from Nashville....thats about what it took for us to get to the airport yesterday. SO WONDERFUL that you got a free $5k neulasta shot....AMAZING!!!! How nice of your friend to send you the painting she did in the class. I have had fun with those too (esp taking the wine)...they remind you to NOT drink the paint water!!! BUT our place here is too darn popular and after 3 sessions with 50-60 people in ea class, I found another place closer that has no more than 8 per class....some sessions are for wine and painting, some just painting, etc. I know you will have fun though!!! Enjoy your early B-day dinner tonight!!!!
Hugs girlzzzz,
Kath
-
Ok Kathy, not 2.5 miles, two and a half hours! Lol. Big difference. Still not bad though! Would love to meet you there sometime!
And forgot to post earlier, my friend today gave me a wine glass that says "save the earth, it's the only planet with wine" and some napkins that say "I used to care but now I take a pill for that" lol -
OMG LMAO!!! WTH is wrong wid me widdle bwain dese deys???? LOL....glad U are keeping me straight!! That would be SO funny if it was 2.5 miles!!! Think I was thinking about the 2.5 hours, but it was 124 miles from us. We'll try to meet up someday! OK it is FINALLY Pau Hana time.....going to have it with my parents. With their ages, I am the one with the good memory....imagine that!!! LOL
-
geez, tanks a lot girls i am craving a Krispy Kreme donut, love them!! 3 weeks until my trp to SC, will have to wait to get my hot donut!!!...wish we had them here but then again do I?? lol.
hope you girls r having a graaaate day! I am going to attempt a bath, dony feel like wrappng the arm but feel like getting cleaned up.
-
Kath, hav you been eatin DorK's special brownies or just tired from hangin with Lori? Hope Pau Hana worked it's magic and all is right in the world. Hope the skin visit did it's job!
Yo Allison, you are on a roll, wanna give me the PowerBall #'s? So psyched for you, you are on a roll and staying there, I can sense it! November 3 is noted as a special day, will drink extra wine for ya! Wishing you a happy birthday, will toast an extra one with de DorK when I be goin on Thursday to see her, hope she got it approved with her people, what if I ain't on de list to see de DorK?
Sooooooo, Scuby be going thru de Duty Free with Jock on my way back from Kymn's great white north in Canada, any requests? NM, counting on you for a DOTD with Canadian Whiskey, I am better on the consumption side of the bar!
Oh well, planning 1/2 hour of Scuby time in de hot tub, Kymn - got extra, hope you will join me otherwise, I will drink it all up solo! with some wine, getting up early, cab at 6:10 a.m. Luv to all, feel good, sleep good, drink good (though not in dat order!). -
By cab, I mean taxi-cab, not Cabernet, I know where all your minds be at! Hugs!
-
Bumped ya DorK, see ya on Thursday! Gentle hugs coming.
-
Wait a minute Scuby, WHERE are DorK's special brownies???? You mean I have missed having them.....NOT FAIR! At least if I ate those, I would have a GUD excuse for my brain freezes. Yeah, the skin place is with my plastic surgeon, so they all do super work. Safe travels tomorrow!!! And then you and DorK get together on Thurs night...what fun!!! You could take wine and canvas and paint and have your own wine-painting-party!!!
Countdown to the time DorK gets some more Krispy Kremes! I'm in the minority, as I like mine a bit hard on the outside, so the "hot, fresh" sign does not lure me in. I esp like the kruellers (sp?) when they are a little crunchy on the outside! I dunno, after seeing Lori yesterday, made me realize that I really need to get this weight off. So no donuts for this gal. Lori looks smokin' hot, and now I need to get myself in shape too!!! It was such fun when we were both talking to you, DorK! Would be so nice if we ALL could get-together somewhere and have a REAL partay!!!
Have a nice night everyone! I'll take another of the "Chatterbox" dwinks!
-
A gab of bbq boulder chips and few too many glasses of cabernet....like 3/4 bottle...but I feel good.....now if only I could sleep!!!
Record high today....and tomorrow night snow is expected...if not on Wednesday...then a warm up starts again on Thursday...sure hoping my flight isn't delayed thursday morning....nothing like getting to the airport for a 7 am flight and having it delayed.....
Sweet dreams....karen
-
Cat on lap and enjoying a glass of muscadet. not much happening here and that's a good thing.
-
my onc told me no drinking 48 hours before or after chemo, and then i can have a very small amount. says it's too hard on my liver. unfortunately, i take chemo weekly, so no drinky drink for mommy booohohoooo
then she told me no botox or fillers during chemo. i don't get it. i think she just hates botox, and fillers and vanity hahaha but i've got a wedding in two weeks! i need a freshening!!!! pictures last forever!
-
welcome, lovemygirl. Here at the lounge some of us are virtual drinkers only and others do imbibe. Mostly we just hang out and watch over each other.
I've been shopping again (O) ...
I think we need one of these for the lounge
... ok that's my bit for being green and recycling...
-
hi girls, I just had the nicest bath. DH helped me wash my back and also shave my armpits....it's the little things. I broke down and made a drink....ahhh, that is what I needed.
Things seem to be getting better for all of us here, I will drink to that. I am so proud of Kymn and still overjoyed over Allison's great news. And hearing that Karen feels good is icing on the cake.
Kymn, I concur with what Scuba said and will say it again. You have come a long way and things will just keep getting better. Don't whip yourslef for having the feelings you do. It is human nature to still have feelings despite what he did to you. And yikes, living across the street? wow! Stay strong and don't give in....you have come so far.
Scuba, I will miss you while you are gone. I might sneak into your luggage and take the flight with you. I sure hope you get a good night sleep. Hope the brownies I brought in help.
Wahine, we are a pair eh? Memphis/Nashville..... 2.5 miles/250 miles, all the same. Me tinks Lori put sumting in our dwinks last night. It was so cool parting with you two. SaWry the skinny blond made ya feel like ya need a diet. I felt the same way hanging w/ my high school friends. They all work out hard and have nicer figures than they did in high school. But I have an excuse, her name is Tammy. You girls calling me made my day! Tanks agen for tinking to call me. Did Lori love the art you made her for the shady lady? I bet she did.
Karen, your DD will be very close to where my ex DH lives. He is in Fanwood which is close to Linden. I hope you sleep well so you are well rested when you see your folks.
Claire, the steak was delish, tanka ewe.
Bernie, glad you had a nice birthday. Will pray that you get through treatment quickly
NM, great post as always. Your cartoons were very funny! Loved the perfectionist, lmao! Hope your muscles feel better soon. Claire is prolly right that you used muscles that you have not used. I hope you find good insurance.
Allison, wow wow wow, what a nice surprise from your pharmacist. I think God is looking after you, that is a true miracle that he happened to have a free 5k sample around for you. I am so so happy for you. I hope you had a great birthday dinner with your family. What a difference a week makes, eh?
btw, Kathy, thanks for reposting the htl video. Seeing the sock monkeys makes me miss hunky dory even more. I hate when my sistas nesappear. Anyone heard from Kristy??
Missing Gail today. Hope the wicked neighbors are behaving. And Gail, who could not love your WD? Everyone loves a dachshund!!Lovemygirl, welcome. As Gail said, you can always drink virtually, many of us do. And who here listens to their doctors about drinking? Perhaps I should for my liver's sake .I am not supposed to drink and take pain pills but it is my choice.
Well I am off to drink anudder chatterbox, seems they work lol. Who is in da lounge, anyone? Kymn? Kathy? Dwinks on Pants again, me foyst!!
CheerZ! I am celebrating Allison! Come on girls the three day party haz started!edited....bumped ya Gail, nice to see you.
-
Neighbor is still there... I put the "Ass Family" sticker on all his vehicles. There was a "for sale" sign on one of the boats... I took it off and put it on a stake and stuck it in the lawn... then I sprinkled war water on the door knobs and stood in front of the yard and imagined the yard and house empty... except for the cat. But, alas, they are still there.
-
LMAO, Gail. Oh no you didn't?
-
LOL Dork....dwinks on Pants AGAIN....and you are ALWAYS first! Sheesh! Nice of your DH to help you bathe/shave.....it is so hard having them do things like that though, isn't it? Makes me feel TOOOO dependant when that happens, although very necessary to accept their help. Still in da lounge for a widdle while. I was thinking Lori might want that in the Shady Lady so she could put it outside, but it doesn't really go with that decor. Maybe she can hang it on a tree for target practice??? J/K, I do think she liked it.
Karen, Soooo glad you will be seeing your parents soon (at least that is what I gathered from DorK's post). I must've missed when you mentioned it earlier. AND hoping the weather is NOT bad the day you will be flying.
Welcome to "lovemygirl".....this is a fun place.
Lori, Hope you are home by now! I mentioned to my DD in TX, what your DH told my DH about the clay cracking foundations when it gets too dry. Never knew about that before; wonder if she did?
HunkyD, and Dee, we miss you girls sooooooo much!!! C'mon back, y'hear?
Luv 'n Hugs,
Kathy
-
LOL Gail, just read your post!!!
-
O yes, but in my mind...and a mind is a powerful thing. I'm teaching my cats the voodoo too...
-
Advised DH today that if he should come into some life insurance proceeds from my insurance he is to use if for the kids' education and not to quit work, marry a hoochie and buy toys. He laughed. That's good right?
-
OMG Gail, you are on a roll. That is too funny.
Kathy, it felt good having DH wash my back. He noticed that the area where the lat flap was done is inflamed again and he showed me in the mirror. Damn, I am again retaining fluid and it is red. I think it is from sleeping on my back.I had not noticed it hurting until now. What is up with that? Ughh.
I should be in bed by now as I have my first post-op appointment at 9:30, then my first not breast PT. I wanted to stay up until midnight so that I could email my DD a Happy Birthday wish. I refreshed my facebook browser at exactly midnight and now have three "friends" with the same birthday, including my DD. I am celbrating that I MADE IT THROUGH THE TEENAGE YEARS ALIVE WITHOUT KILLING ANYONE, my baby girl is 20 years old.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Allison! Wishing you the best birthday ever!
Anyone still in da lounge??
-
I am back in the lounge after a locavore dinner. Was fun, even if a bit heavy on the polemics. So another glass of wine now that I am home.
Still celebrating my good oncology visit. Interesting to get the confirmation that I really am through. It will take a while for all this to sink in. They couldn't believe how great I look, and my oncologist congratulated me on all my hard work.
Everyone mentioned the weight loss. Some of this is real, and more is from all the cycling. So an incentive to keep moving. Easier to move more than to give up food. Or something worse, like limiting wine to three glasses per week.
Have been reading everyone's posts, so think I am current. Off to sleep in a few.
One thing I did learn with the dinner is just how good my cooking is. Yes, it was good food, but what I eat on a daily basis is even better. Plus equally fresh and healthy.
Talk to you ladieZ in the AM. - Claire
-
Hi to everyone. It's taking me awhile to keep up with you all. Thanks to all the great wishes.
Hi Kymn, did see you on another thread, but the brain is still not functioning proprly. You are a decent person, that's why you still have feelings for the rat. That will change. Stay strong - you are better than him and you deserve better.
-
Grrrr......lost my post! Well, let's try this again, but in WORD this time!
OMG............what an awesome day meeting Kathy. Kathy, you made my year! Thank you SOOOO MUCH for driving up to meet me. Let me tell you, this lady is beautiful inside and out, and 7 hours of gabbing was not near enough time. We totally ignored our DH's, but they seemed to manage just fine. They came, toting a cooler with a huge bottle of champagne and ML's, and beautifully hand painted birdhouse, that will go in my house, not out in the town! Oh ya...............and a foil ball! I just could not get enough hugs from Kathy, sure hope she didn't think I was groping! DorK, thanks for the hug and kiss from you as well. It was so fun to talk to you on the phone, wish we could have figured out how to get Kathy's phone on speaker. You should have seen us sitting on the edge of the bed with the phone between the two of our ears so we could both hear you. Kathy, I felt terrible that you guys had such a long ride home and so late at night, but so glad and grateful for the time we had together. Thank you again, so so much. Well girls, let me tell you how hot Kathy is. Well, y'all know who Jaclyn Smith is, right? Well.............'nuff said! Her and her DH DO NOT look their ages AT ALL! Kathy also brought pictures of her home and family to share with me. I just had such an awesome time. We did do a few pictures, but I can't post until I get her approval. She thinks she looked bad, but believe me, she didn't! Allison, we got to TN every year (about the same time) to visit my MIL. Would be awesome if the 3 of us could meet up.
Well, we got up at 4 am to catch our flight, arrived in Phx, had to go to the warehouse and a few stops on the way home. Finally got home around 5pm, totally exhausted! I'm good now, but not sure what day it is! I think it's Twosday? I also think it's someone's birthday? BTW, Happy belated Birthday and Happy belated Anniversary to Bernie. Welcome too, to you and Love.
Allison, that is so awesome you got the freebie shot. And Kymn, so glad you are opening your eyes. You keep your little heiny right here with us, we will carry you though this. We love you and care about you.
I have lots of work to catch up on, but will try and check in later. I need to start my day with a DOTD, and it should be the birthday girl's choice.
Later my loungies!
