    oops, Gail I bumped ya.

    I love the idea of DH moving in with your DD. What is it with men who do not love puppies and kitties? Ughh, wish my people could magically knock some sense into both our DH's.  I feel so terrible with what you are going through - I do put up with the never ending insults to my dogs and what I consider abusivie behavior ie knocking them off the patio furniture by tilting them off. You know that WD's can not be treated like that due to risk of their discs in the back slipping. There are times I do not like my DH at all. And there times that he is my rock. So torn.

    Hi girls! Just having a quick ML for Junie, and then running errands....will not get out of the house till 4 pm! Been outside working all day....gawgeous day in the 80's and sunny. I built a door for under the deck (access), out of 1x4's left over from the other deck project I have been working on. Got it finished and painted (DH was amazed), but need the hardware. Got the upper stuff near the roof finished....yay! Not even going to start on the back of the house (other than the deck)! So didn't get the pork in for bbq till I came in for some water at 2:30.....won't be ready till almost 8! Guess with all the errands, we prolly won't be home much earlier than that. THEN a big PURPLE RAIN PARTY at our fav lounge, the HTL!!! Hooray!!! BTW DorK was it you that thought of having a purple party? Or Lisa? I forget....good idea anyway!!!

    Ohhhhh I can't wait for your trip across the US DorK....soooo glad you are starting with ME and I guess ending up with Beans? We will have Fun, Fun, Fun, till our DH's take our likker awayyyy...

    OMG that is the cutest sweetie-patootie fur baby! Such a adorable pup....so funny how you snuck in to cuddle her, give her a treat, then act all innocent!!!

    Gail, Sawrry (oops....slap my hand, I wasnt' supposed to say that) for the way DH is acting! Shoot! (well don't shoot HIM....lol)....that just isn't fair. If he needs the router in the LR, could it be under something where the cats won't disturb it? Glad you had such a nice lunch out with your DD's. I love being with both of mine too, but just so hard since they have 5 kids  betwn them, to have "alone" time with them.

    Oops, now I gotta get my shit together, so we can head out. I will join all you lovely galz later on, in my poy-ple gown. Doesn't my hair look good too.....and I have worked so hard to keep that shapely figure....LOL (don't I WISH I looked like that!).

    Couldn't find a Gale Storm photo in purple... this is as close as I could get. That's what happens when you are old... just black and white.

    DorK - I remind DH all the time to be careful with WD. Our corgi has a back injury and now at 13, she is having a hard time with her backend. She can't seem to get up on her back legs today. DH shook WD the other night because he woke him at 2AM ... I yelled at him but them fell asleep again. When I tried to talk to DH about it in the morning he didn't remember it so maybe it was just a dream.

    I love your Gale Storm Poyple pic, Gail.  And you are not old, silly gal. You might feel like it at times but I have seen you. I hope your Corgi gets better and yikes, DH shook WD?  I sure hope he was dreaming. Well it is time to put on my purple outfit and prepare for my debut. I have three outfits, not sure which one to wear.  I want to look mature.

    *sneaking into the partay*.....didn't mean to arrive so late, DorK. Or is it still fashionable to be late? Got home late, had dinner late (was yummy!), and now trying to ketchup on my shows. Guess the real partay will start a bit later? I mean, I don't mind joining when you all are a bit dwunk.....I am sure I can ketchup qwickly!

    Oh Gail, I HOPE you were having a nightmare when you thought DH was shaking WD....I really,  really hope he wouldn't do that!

    My DH "manned up" a bit today and did some outdoor stuff for me....one thing was to dig a big hole for a 4x4 that I am putting a bird feeder on. I sorta went ballistic last night, telling him how he needs to pull his weight too.... that I DO NOT enjoy doing most of the work! I suggested that he should go to Tunica this week to keep our rating up with the casino (of course he LOVED that idea!)....so now want him to do a few things b4 he goes! We can't both go, as I wouldn't want to leave my parents here alone. But I will enjoy my time alone:)  .Innocent

    Oh my.....didn't know they made jock straps in poyple.....but Pants is sure showing off his "stuff"! Looks like Jock and Hunk are looking pwetty good too.....and all those purple dwinks they made up! I think I told some of youse galz about the "Purple Jesus" dwinks we made in the punch bowl when I was soooooo young....used grain alcohol...think it was 150 proof or something. Tasted like a good grape punch......but then it had a wallop!!!! Everyone had a fun time at home after they left our parties! Wink

    I'm back! Had a great time at the zoo, costumes were awesome! Once again, you will have to check out the pics on FB, as I am on iPad. I need to get it together!! Helped DD wash gray paint out of her hair, dosed her up with meds, put her to bed, now chilaxin! Actually just finished that movie "five" that Kathy was talking about. Great movie, but lots of tears here! I need a partay now! Super anxious over blood work in morning...... Gonna have to maybe double up on the Xanax tonight. Speaking of doubles, Pants, I'll have a grey goose dirty martini with extra olives, and make it a double on the double! Cheers!

    Hi LadieZ....

    Am here, if a bit late.  Went to church, and then did the Tour de Tilth.  Lots of pumpkin patches.  One of the guys in our group had a new bicycle trailer, so won the pumpkin carving tool as had 50 lb of pumpkins in tow.  Me.....am buying the Long Island Cheese Pumpkins at Met Market which make delish custard, and I can drag back a small one.

    Then couldn't find my tax stuff as have to get everything out tomorrow.  Don't know what was in my brain, but have found what I need and all is well.

    Tells me that a good thing that I didn't move forward with my career until recently.

    Loved the chanterelle omelet last week so much that I am doing a reprise for tonight's dinner.

    Finally dared look at my ticket I got back in August.  Was thrilled that one fourth the way through good driving jail.  (Don't go more than 5 mph over the speed limit these days.....just saying.)

    Need to finish the rest of my omelet which I am having with fresh local beans and tomato/cucumber salad.

    Another celebration....wearing cashmers as opposed to purple.  Sorry, but comfort wins. - Claire

    The lounge has been busy!!!  too many posts to try to read......We had company for dinner and then an engagement party tonight....spent the day with kids shopping and running errands....tomorrow is work day, then company for dinner......its DH b'day....got him a present today, but still need to get him a b'day card.....the kids leave Tuesday morning.....so glad that they've been here, but it has gone by quickly.....Going to make my lunch and off to bed.....

    Hey ladies, was tied up with work til late. Then, it was me with the 18 yo nephew and sister turning 50. So DH and I were there, although I was on the phone for 1/2 the party. Seems like y'all had a blast without me. I promise not to miss another partay, the weekend $ucked for my team because it wasn't in our control.



    Allison, will be keeping fingers and toes crossed for WBC, hopefully your fun day yesterday helps! Will pull FB tonight, on iPad now. Have to get PT done then head to work early.



    DorK, how adorable, glad you had fun with Lana. But for you and Gail, hope DH's get their heads out of the arses!
