    Happy Birthday Blondelawyer!  Congratulations MamaV!

Just an update on my case, I was misinformed about my treatment plan.  I did not finish Taxol yesterday, will be finishing the week of October 10th.  Three more treatments to go should not be that bad.

I wish everyone a good week ahead.

Justme, yes, I have been having a fast heart rate. The doc and nurse seem a bit concerned but haven't checked anything out :(

I had my last chemo Monday and I'm so happy that part is behind meSmile.   I'm just tired of everyone telling me or acting like it's ALL OVER!  I'm sorry, but I'm not even close.  Rads and shots and pills and more Sx.  We're talking years of crap and the constant worry that it will all come crashing back.  I just don't know what to say anymore.  Maybe "yeah, it's all over" , then just walk away.  I feel like I have to educate all these poeple, have they not heard of google.

Sorry for venting.  I hope everyone is doing well and those who aren't hang in there we're all thinking of you.

I am in the same emotional boat! everyone wants to make it seem like I have two more tx left. and ITS ALL OVER but the reality is that I've got rads and months later an exchange surgery to contend with.  For our sanity we have to call our own finish line. Because our altered vigilance is life long and for many the are AIs etc. for me I'm calling my finish line rads.

One way to do it is to start the sentence with the treatment that I have next to complete. " Off to radiation since I've only got two more two chemos left."

My ct scan turned out good. Looks like pretty much everything showed up as "resolved" consistent with response to treatment and nothing new has shown up! I was a bit worried as I have been coughing, taking a long time to get over a cold, so my mind went to a bad place. Lungs were clear also!

Justme-I had a doc appointment already scheduled for today, so I knew I would get the results today. Can you call on Monday or do you have an appointment? Do you still have a fast heart rate? My doc and nurses keep mentioning it to me but don't do anything about it! It is starting to freak me out! My reastin heart rate is around 100 and sometimes goes up to 130. We went over my meds and it seemed to start when I had my antidepressant doasage increased, so I will call that doc to lower my dosage! There is always something to worry about! So now I have an appointment with my surgeon and he wants me to do a breast mri and chest mril, even though I already had the chest ct! Ahhhh big sigh. More scanxiety!

Thanks beaglesgirl! How are you doing? I have been so wrapped up in myself I feel like I have been ignoring others! Yeah, it's a long finish line with no true ending as we always have to be monitored, but I agree, finishing rads is a good place to call a finish! Gives us something to look forward to, even though the worrying will probably still be there! I want to try to change my mindset, and live in the moment, to not worry about the future. I have always been a worrier, when I was 12 a doc told me I would probably die before I was 30 of a heart attack because I worried too much, no kidding, he said that to a 12 year old in front of my mom! So it may be difficult for me to change....

Hello girls! I had my last taxotere on august 16th and have done 10/25 rads and it is so much easier than chemo! The fatigue after chemo gas finally abated in time for the rads fatigue to set in!! But all in all feeling so much healthier now - the taxotears have gone at last and nails are okay and sporting a healthy 1 inch crop of salt and pepper fuzz! I feel as though I have run a marathon with chemo!

3 more weeks of tx then tamoxifen then exchange surgery... Should be all finished in time for my first cancerversary!

I pop in to see how everyone is doing, it is heartening to see others finish treatment- congratulations MamaV and Cyborg! And others almost there too. It is hard when everything aches but there is an end and I never thought that I would feel so good after feeling so ordinary for so long but it does come to be at an end and you all will recover from this!

Wishing everyone strength and energy to continue through!! (((hugs))) Robyn

Robyn, glad to hear you are doing well! On the home stretch!

My nurse told me to ask the doc point blank if I needed to see a cardiologist. I will do that, also will ask my surgeon, as I do not want to go into surgery with any pre existing problems. I have 5 more abraxane, my surgeon scheduled me for an mri of the breast and chest for on tuesday, so it looks like surgery is getting closer. There was a time they mentioned possible not doing surgery because of my inoperable nodes, so it will be interesting to see what the surgeon's opinion is now. It was only briefly mentioned about not doing surgery.

Justme, it seems like you will be doing surgery just before me! I am more nervous for surgery than I was for chemo. Still having emotional issues of not having any breast. I may be just having one breast done so I heal quicker and can start rads asap. The problem is I had previous rads on my right breast where I have no cancer now and that can delay the healing process, so I just might do that one later with reconstruction. I will have to see what the surgeon says but mo thinks it's a good idea. He said deal with the troble one now and then do the other one later. I am already lopsided:) I thought it might be nice to be even finally, but I want to do what is best for my health. Blab blab blab, that is all I do! Sorry! It's liker when I was in the hopspital! I am happy to see others checking in! You were all missed, but I feel like you are little birdies flying out into the world to continue to live you life! I am so happy for that!

I haven't really talked to them much about the heart rate since so much else has been going on, but I will bring it up again after my next Echo (I have to have another one soon).  I'll also talk to the exercise doc about it.  I do wonder if it is weight-related.  My blood pressure is always good, so I don't know.  Thanks for bringing it up Bak, reminds me that I have that as a lingering "issue" that I should address at some point.

Is your MRI on First Hill Bak?  I will be there for PT at 1:15.

Hello May Ladies, good to see so many have finished w/ their chemo, yay! I finished mine on Aug. 22, but it has taken me so long to bounce back, I guess it was the accumalation. I am finally feeling better, legs still hurt, but not as bad. I still have hemroid, and get tired quickly but not as quickly as I use to. Robyn I had almost the same treatment as you and it seems that you are almost done w/ your rads and I havent even started. I went to my surgeon today and he wants me to do a trial for some diabetes medication, Metformin, for 5 years. Not sure, I have read good things about it. It's a blind study, I think thats what they call it, theres 50/50 chance I could get it or not get it. Well I have another appt. on oct 5th, then port comes out on Oct 12th. I guess that's when he will set up an appt w/ the rads doctor. I just hope I will be through before the new years, because the insurance is actually paying 100percent cause i met my out of pocket limit already. Well wishing everyone an end to chemo treatments soon :) God bless you'll and it will be over soon :)

Hi ladysara, glad to see you have finished chemo too! I am also in a study D-Care which is a randomized controlled trial so I have a 50/50 chance of having xygeva or placebo. It is testing the effectiveness of xygeva at preventing bone metastases. I take the view that everything we take for granted .. Yes the chemo.. Has been tested by trial for efficacy in the past and we benefit from studies done by brave women battling cancer as we are.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!
