Popping in to say "hi" and "see you all in a bit" - terribly hectic days while suffering from intense nausea which has thankfully left me now, and I can work in peace. Glanced at Blue's pictures -lol!
Will read up later.
-
Kad2kar - loved your post! Laughed out loud at the thought you thought had been robbed! I too seem to attract dust & bunnies - always wonder WHERE they came from??????? I don't see dust in the air, no pets, just me, and I'm not dusty? I don't think - but when I take my shoes off & do the Dust Bunny Slide - I always seem to find lots of them!!!!
Hi, Athena - so sorry to hear about the nausea - do you know what caused it? Anytime I've felt sick, I've always wished I could still have access to Emend. Hope you feel better - and have teh MOST BORINGEST scan/mri on record.
Off to read, and early sleep - my art classes have started, getting up early for a few days. Sweet dreams all. Sleep well, and remember VALERIAN ROOT if you need it.
-
Thank you Sunflowers. I actually planned to take the day off from work because I was not feeling well but I was summoned in for a project, so off I went, dragging and hauling myself all the way. I am glad I did get there. Never good to mope at home. Just got in and feel much better.
Barbara, fingers crossed for a good interview tomorrow.
E - Espero que pronto hables espanol!
A final shout out to the weather. Lovely. Cool and overcast. It makes you feel so free and healthy. If only it could be like this or colder all year round!

We're home!!!
After a long long journey - we're finally here. Never again - a stop over somewhere is on the cards next time. DH snoring his head off - I've had my hair cut and picked up Poppy - she's going in and out and exploring home. There's no food, so will have to go and get some essentials soon I guess. I'm staying awake as long as I can. Also, I started the huge pile of washing - yukk.

Baby pic with the Nessie I bought him - ignore the woolly coo Nana

-
Just looked up my insurance policy - damm - can't claim the lost part of my fob necklace - didn't report it to the authorities - read the PDS anyone going away - idiot.
On the good front - I got paid lots today - got my annual incentive bonus, so that will probably go on fixing my necklace.
3 huge loads of washing done - frozen dinners tonight - I refuse to cook. DH's car wouldn't start but the roadside assist people came and started it. Mine started no trouble even though it had been sitting there for a month - love Toyotas

I plan of having dinner early and crashing - we must have been on the go for 36 hours or more - eek!!!

-
Welcome home, Susieq - what a lovely picture with your grandson. You should have it framed.
-
Thanks Athena - I'm still going - even watered a part of the garden today. Almost time to crash. It will be interesting to see how I am in the morning. Just opened up all of the trinkets I bought - I reckon I was quite conservative - but got some nice things - especially teddies

Glad you're home safely, Susie! Beautiful, adorable baby you have there. Love all of the new babies added to our "family!"
-
Thaks Enjoyful - he is a sweetie - quite well behaved too. We think he looks more like our daughter when she was a baby. I must try and scan in a photo to send them and see what they think.
-
Babies change so much, though. My daughter looked just like her Dad when she was born, but now everybody says she looks just like me, but with her dad's coloring (and freckle-free skin, thankfully!).
-
Buenos dias, amigas!
-
SusieQ - he is adorable! Gotta figure out how to get him HOME to Aussie land. Congrats on making it thru without bopping his mom on the head! Restraint - enjoy getting your toes back into the soil, a little time in the garden seems essential when away from home for a long time.
Athena, you are SO wise about not moping at home, reminds me of the famous Woody Allen quote: "80% of life is just showing up."
Seems we all have a good reason to be singing a chorus or two of Handel's Messiah: Hallelujah, or Alleluia, depending on your version
Got your pm Blue, happy to say NOPE

Morning E. Making progress, I see. waiting for the interview. He is 15 minutes late. Wonder what that means.
Susie, he is just adorable!
Athena, sorry you felt crappy yeasterday. I hate feeling nauseous.
-
Means he's late. Nothing else. ;-)))) FINGERS CROSSED.
-
Thanks, sunflowers. It is now 35 minutes. I have to leave to go to my client in 10 minutes. I did send an email to the person who scheduled this explaining that I need to leave and that we could do this tomorrow.
-
Barbara, Sorry to hear about the delay. Fingers still crossed.
Susie, You made it home. The baby is adorable and so is his grandma.
Need more coffee!
-
Barbara - I mean this from the depths of my heart:
OH, BOTHER!!!!!!!!!!! There has to be an explanation - car broke down, FLU? cell phone out? Something which has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU - this is their side - NOT YOU!!!!
Remember the most important of ALL "agreements" - "Don't Take it Personally."
-
Barbara
How awful but Sunflowers is right. It is them not you. Oh bother is right.
Susieq
Both of you are lovely. I am so glad you got time to see him. Babies are so wonderful.
-
Susieq - glad you're home - loved "our" trip and grandson is adorable.
BarbaraA - still keeping everything crossed - their loss (if they don't phone back - what a nerve!)
Enjoyful - glad to see the spanish lessons seem to be working.
-
AH, I was so excited at the "changes" I didn't notice Enjoyful's greeting - wonderful! will you order at BCOB&G in Spanish too???? Might be a good test? ;-)
Barbara - there will be a GOOD explanation - and to YOUR ADVANTAGE too...
-
Morning Everyone!
Susie .. so happy you are safely home. Love your little grandson .. he is so cute!
Barbara .. that's the pits. I hope they have a good reason for you. Perhaps the boss was running late in a meeting.
Dreary rainy day here again. I think it's Athena's kind of day .. cool and damp!
Hope everyone has a great day,
Bren
EDITED: I made contact today with a psychologist about doing forensic transcription. She's waiting to receive all my info in the mail. Please keep your fingers crossed for me! I really hope this pans out!
-
Fingers crossed, Bren!
....and hoping Barbara heard back and has a rescheduled date?
-
Got them crossed Bren. You go girl!
Barbara I hope that interview will be rescheduled.
I went to the freezer in the garage and saw a dozen wild turkeys in my yard. While I was trying to take a picture(I couldn't get close enough) two deer ran through the farmer's field next door. I am so glad live where I do.
-
What a wonderful story, Rosemary. That's why I love both the city and the country and hate the suburbs - in the first two, the craziest, most wonderful manifestations of nature (human and animal) are always running interference and serving as a constant reminder of life.
If someone here loves suburbs - I apologize. I am suburb-phobic. I know many people hate cities and that's ok. :-) In fact, I would prefer to live in Manhattan. DC is too suburban for my taste.
-
Oh, Rosemary - I LOVE the wild turkeys - seems several have had a second "clutch" of babies - they cross the roads here as if they owned them, probably cuz everybody STOPS for them, just as folks stop for a turtle, and take it to the side of the road it was heading for. Note: I do NOT stop for snapping turtles, I go around them - we have lots of beaver made ponds - and they seem to encourage the snapping turtles. The large ones are scarey looking creatures!
Love the way the baby turkeys follow their moms about. The "teenage" boys seem to stay together in a flock too.
-
Bren - good luck - sounds very interesting.
Barbara - that sucks regarding your interview. Hope it was just a glitch and they will call back soon.
Athena - totally agree with you. I don't like the suburbs, hate the cities and would prefer to live in an isolated area.
Woke up with a massive headache this morning. I can only think that it is related to cleaning the bedroom carpet yesterday, moving all of the furniture, etc. and dust bunnies were everywhere! I hadn't moved the dressers in years nor the bed so you can imagine the build up. Also am exhausted - I have to quit taking on these massive chores that take 8 hours because I am so unmotivated today and so very tired. I cancelled my lesson on Jazzy.
-
Barb - I hope you got that interview or at least they apologised and rescheduled.
Thanks for the compliments girls - I didn't get enough pictures of him though - I did try. New one below of DH and him when we went out for lunch on Sunday.
Went to bed at 9 I think and woke up at 4am - Dh and I both coughing and him wanting food, so I cooked him scambled eggs as that's all we have in the fridge. We've got to get him to the doc today since he's had this thing for so long. Mine is a new manifestation since the Paris/Wales flight. Poppy, bless her heart, was on our bed when we woke up - amazing how they remember everything. She's out prowling around in what's left of the night.

-
Bren - good luck on the transcription job!!!
-
Bren, fingers crossed for you!
