TN Ten Pounds Take-Off

163 this morning. I only got to the gym twice this week. BUT have done some extreme labor in the back yard. DH and I are having our above ground pool replaced. We got 21 years out of the old one and the wooden deck that was attached to it. All of the decking has to go and the landscaping plants/rocks within 4 ft of has to be moved. So lots of work has been done with more to go! My muscles and joints are sore. We did take some time to go to a fall fest yesterday and got some dancing in! The weasther has cooled off and we are back in jeans and sweatshirts!

Hi Ladies,
I am still 116 as of yesterday. I guess I should be happy because I spent Sunday with my momand my brother attending The Hull Marching Pirates Reunion Party. It was in Hull, Ma. at the hotel ballroom. I saw so many old friends and danced the night away "literally". I had the time of my life. I lasted until midnight which is way past my bed time these days. I'm happy I maintained my weight and wasn't tempted by all of the sweet treats! So many people told me how "healthy' and beautiful I looked! It was a great ego boost for me. Just what the doctor ordered:) Speaking of doctors, I see my onc. this Thursday for my three month check up:( I'm starting to feel the anxiety build!!!!
Take Care,
Lisa

I am down 2 more pounds!! YEAH! YIPPIE!!!
I contribute it to moving more and complaining less. HaHaHa, my husband would love that statement.

My zumba class starts today and I have been mentally planning that this is the day when all good things begin. I am going to Vegas at the end of the month with the bc gals and decided that a goal of 140 by then should be attainable - I just have to REALLY try instead of pretending to try - right? (This is also the day when my school year should have begun had I not closed my preschool in June
)
Anyone on this thread going to Vegas?
-
Congrats to everyone doing so well!
I ate ate ate this weekend, with a little bit of drinking thrown in, so I know I didn't lose anything. But I also did a ton of walking, so I'm hoping it was a wash. I'm going to be starting back at the gym tomorrow, and next week I'll be on a regular schedule with my friend.
I'm hoping to be in my "goal" jeans in 6 weeks, so that when I go to NYC to celebrate a clear PET scan in October (and it WILL happen, lol), I can really feel my best.
Gilly - wish I could go! Enjoy your trip, it sounds like a blast
.
-
Gillyone-I would have loved to go. I am preparing for a new job, and adding somethings to the house. No go for me. Have FUN!
-
I am so happy for those of you doing well with your workouts-Me, I am still limping around but I am back on track as far as eating goes. I am hanging out at 160 but I know I will lose it in the next couple of months so I am not going to stress out about it. I can't wait to live in a city with 124 parks and hundreds of miles of bicycle routes! I am looking forward to being in the best shape of my life, plus I will now have room for a gym!
Gillyone: My DH and I are planning a cross country move, so no Vegas for me
. Maybe next year when things calm down a bit.
-
157..... I CAN'T STOP EATING !!!!! I started back to work a few weeks ago and I am starving 24/7 uuuggghhhhh
-
Tracie- probably stress eating...take deep breaths to relax your diaphram that tenses against your stomach.
-
Vegas? Who's going to Vegas? And why am I just hearing about this? Do tell...
-
Heidi: A bunch of the women from the Exchange City thread who have all had breast implant recon meet every year in Vegas. It's called the TaTaSisterhood and the more the merrier! I am getting ready to make a huge move or I would be joining them.
-
Ah, thanks MBJ. I only read this thread and the TN thread Titan started. Almost never go anywhere else in BC.org.
Louisville, KY? Visit the KY Horse Park sometime. The Man o' War Memorial. I put a bench there in honor of my uncle, who trained him.
-
I didn't know the Vegas thread came from "exchange city". I am going for the first time this year - just thought it was a general reunion thing. Two others from my August 09 chemo thread are also going, so it should be fun.
MBJ - have you been to Vegas with the group before?
My zumba class yesterday was NOT fun. The teacher is not a good teacher. She didn't teach the basic steps to help newbies get started and she doesn't know how to count. It seemed like she randomly changed steps and sometimes was left marking time waiting for the next bit of music that she knew the steps for. I was so frustrated. I am not a klutz - a former high school PE teacher and I am a musician so I don't think it was me. GRRRRRRR!
-
gillyone: So sorry you had a lousy teacher. Are there any others available to choose from? I didn't know you were a musician-that would drive me crazy!
Heidi: We can't wait for the Kentucky Derby. I just love horses though I haven't rode one inn years-I will have to go to the Kentucky Horse Park when we start exploring our new city! How cool that you have that history in your family! My MIL wants a horse for their farm but my FIL won't let her have one. They already have alpacas, goats, chickens, roosters, ducks, etc.
-
Hi Girls, so sorry I have not been able to post lately. I went back to school and work. Also took a two week vacation overseas. I just weigh myself and I am at 147.3lbs. I am surprised because I sure ate on my visit to Portugal and Spain
I am hoping everyone is doing well. xoxo, Monika
-
Aaaah Monika, it was that healthy mediterranean diet, I'm sure.
-
MonikaV- it's good to live life!!! We encourage it. I hope Spain was a blast.
I can't wait to travel I am still with little ones..
-
Monica: I always walk so much when in Europe that it offsets all of the wonderful food. Sounds like an amazing time!
-
MBJ - I have a friend who did his grad work in Louiville, he loves the town. The area is very beautiful.
So I managed to actually lose weight in DC, even though I pigged out and drank more than I should have. All the walking paid off. I weigh myself every so often just to see, and was 122.5 this AM. I'm back on my low-fat diet, but haven't picked up the exercise yet as I'm waiting for my feet to heal after they got beat up. Small steps...
-
Suze: Everytime I go to Europe I can barely walk when I get home. Chemo ruined my feet! Glad you enjoyed yourself!
Louisville is beautiful! They are planning to now do roof top gardens downtown. This should be done world wide to cut down on global warming and air quality.
-
So my focus has been on finishing as many jobs as possible before moving and packing and so, no, the weight hasn't gone, the low fat diet is going to have to wait as it's just too much to focus on at once. Not weighing in because I know I am over
-
166 this morning. been stress eating this week(no excuse-but true) FIL not doing well while recovering at home after heart surgery. Lots of time in Doctors offices with him. Hopefully he will improve soon and I can get back on track. One day at a time.......
MBJ: saw somewhere that you are moving!!! Best of luck to you. Kentucky sounds like a great place. I just know you will love it and find peace there.

10 miles on the bike today - my legs are killing me!!! I always dread working out, but always feel good afterwards. Wish I could remember that
.
NavyMom - I hope your FIL is feeling better soon.
MBJ - moving is a diet/exercise program in and of itself!!! I hope it all goes smoothly.
-
145 today.
Zumba class had a sub teacher yesterday and was excellent. So now I know my "hatred" of zumba is really connected to the poor regular teacher. I will be looking elsewhere when this session is done.
-
I've just looked at the weights at the top of the page. Several ladies have made significant changes. Great job! Come on the rest of us - we can do it too!
-
Thanks for all of your well wishes! My DH is leaving town for a few days and it's so much easier to eat healthy when he isn't around. No large meals, lots of protein and soup and I will be my skinny, svelte self again, lol.
-
I am at 155 today.... this is so freakin exhausting..... if I eat one damn carb .... it all goes to hell LOL ...
-
tracie: I am so right there with ya!
-
Ok I did ask today how much fluid is in each breast so I do have to account for that ( anything helps) LOL
-
Today is the day I start my diet: http://www.perriconemd.com/category/dr.+perricone/28+day+diet.do So far, so good, only having what's on there except for the cheat of coffee in the am.
