Hello SunflowersMA,
Due to mis-use, we have revoked your ability to report posts that violate the Community Rules (http://community.breastcancer.org/help/rules). In addition, you can now only send a handful of private messages each day.
Abuse of the post reporting functionality and private messaging systems are a serious infraction of the rules, and may also result in your account being temporarily or permanently banned from the Community.
Thank you for helping us maintain a supportive and welcoming community for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sincerely,
The Breastcancer.org Teamplease note, I did not report a post. my post was removed because it violated some rule. And it seems the Moderators at BCO are VERY concerned when a screen name from another website is shown here- but not when the screen names of SO MANY WOMEN WHO POST ON THIS THREAD were posted on another public site and attacked. What was done to protect us? Were any of those posts removed? NO, we were asked in thwo threads on this board to write our own "reviews" ( all positive) and written - but what was done to remove the horrible and untrue things written about us?
Also just got this email:
Hello SunflowersMA,
Your post in the I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange topic has been reviewed by a moderator, who has determined that the post violates the Community Rules.
Your post has been permanently removed.
If you continue to violate the Community Rules, you may be temporarily or permanently banned from the Community.
You can view the community rules here:

Sincerely,
The Breastcancer.org TeamSO, my friends, don't expect pm's from me for a while. Really SO important that BCO makes sure of "good behavior" - like the behavior of those who attack us & still post here.
-
I wonder - is there a new rule about not posting a PM that is sent to you????
-
Not sure sunflowers. But I don't think so!
-
Actually, I think that's always been a rule, that you're not supposed to post a PM...
But if it's offensive or troublesome in any may, you can forward it to the Mods.
That's my understanding, anyway. -
TRY to rise above it.
-
(((Sunflowers)))
Bren - that is a shocking rate - wow!
-
Bren - ouch! Had no idea unemployment was that high anyplace in the country. Terrifying, and makes it so, so hard for any community to funtion.
(((((Blue))))) - funny, really. Most people know the screen names the women who post on this website use on the other website - as well as the crazy names they make up to refer to women here. What's the secret? Even the Moderators know. Now, someone will pip up and ask "how do you know the Moderators know." DUH......
Well, I think I've got most of the troublemakers ignored - will know if we get another driveby.

Well, the interview went very well. We seemed to hit it off. The recruiter is speaking with the guy who gave him my resume (that guy got it from my friend who is his boss) and he will arrange the next interview. Should know something by next Friday. EYES crossed along with everything else.
Dewars neat, please. Whew. Happy Friday night!
-
FYI, the rate in Tampa Bay is high also (11.5%) but not 24%. Oh Bren.
-
YEAH, BARBARA!!!!! If I could figure out how to cross toes, I'd do it for you! AND, I can easily cross my eyes, always could - can still hear my mom saying "what if they stay that way! Don't" - alas.
I used to drink Dewars - when I could still drink anything. Seriously, I find, expecially since taking Arimidex, one glass of wine & I"m asleep. Forgot to go to wine store to ask about ice wine when I was near it yesterday. The sky was getting green/grey, another boomer on the way - and I had a 30 miles drive to get home.
Today is SO SO SO gorgeous - sunny, dry, and a ittle strange for NE. The leave are already starting to fall ( brown) from the trees - wonder if we'll have a Leef Peeper season?
-
Barbara ... fabulous news! I knew they would love you! Martinsville and Henry County are the poorest in Virginia. All the furniture business has gone overseas and the plants have all shut down.
Sunflowers ... it was a gorgeous day here too! Sunny with big puffy clouds and about 80 degrees. Doesn't get better than this. I'm glad you're going to use the ignore button. It might cut down on some unwanted PM's.
hugs,
Bren
-
Barbara, even kidneys are crossed! Glad that it went so well.
-
Barb - terrific news! A second interview is a great sign. I knew you'd wow them.
*waving hi to LauraGTO* I'll throw in some hugs too 'cause I just know you love 'em.
How are you doing, Biscuit? (((Bren))) I hope your marketing does the trick.
I'm in a hotel room awaiting the arrival of Canadian BF. Now where did I put the Saran Wrap...? HAHAHAHA!
-
Oh E that visual is NOT one I wanted.
-
HAHAHA! Maybe I should have said "where did I put the aluminum foil?"
-
OMG Enjoyful ... please tell me you don't have a copy of the Total Woman with you!
Have fun with Canadian BF ... were you able to see Linda today? I'm so jealous and wish I was there with you. I would go see Blue and Ray!
hugs,
Bren
-
No, no "Total Woman" here. I'm more like half a woman after all of the surgerizing.
Didn't get to see Linda but hope to see her Tuesday!
-
Great dinner and bottle of red and glass of champagne each. Just went to a local bar/restaurant - reasonable price but we spent 90EUR - whatever - we deserve it. I had steak/Frites cos I'd always wanted to have it - best fries I have ever tasted.
Asked the guy at the desk how to work the aircon, so we'll sleep better tonight. DH snoring already.
OMG - I hadn't checked in the mirror - major plucking needed - bloody Arimidex - all fixed now.
I can totally understand the US residents among you being affected health wise by the situation over there - huge stress factors at play.
See you in the morning
Au revoir
Sue

For all you SNL fans out there, Ben & Jerry's is making a limited edition flavor called "Schweddy Balls." I am NOT making this up!
-
E I saw that and ROFLMAO. Also saw on Yahoo an article about the longshoreman in Washington State. Interesting on the heels of Hoffa's 'the Tea Party is violent and we will take them out.' The world has gone mad and that means Reps, Dems, TP's and IND's. All of us/them.
Waiting for 9/11 to be over.
-
Go Barbara.
(((Sunflowers)))
Busy day!
-
E
that's enough to make me try some ice cream

Hello everyone. Wow, I went on holidays for two weeks and this thread has moved 50 screens during that time. I can't keep up!!!
-
I was thinking about the admonishment to avoid politics; yet as I understand it, the personal is political, thus almost anything we might discuss indeed is political. Certainly there seems to be politics involved in decisions about treatments for breast cancer, about decisions governing health care (kind of an essential for those of us with bc).
Yup, from where I am looking it is darned well impossible (and undesireable) to avoid politics. And if that politics happens to be a President's speech, the effects of which reach all of us, then that discussion is necessary.
Lest someone say that I would not be affected since I am Canadian, let me assure you that what happens in the US strongly affects us. We sometimes describe it as sleeping beside an elephant.
So let's talk politics!
-
Hi Sugar! Good to see you -- hope your holidays were great!
I know what you mean about this thread moving quickly -- I'm on the opposite of holidays, I guess, with gigantic work projects for the next 3 weeks -- but very, very, very grateful to have the job and the health insurance, so I am not complaining! Just explaining my near-absence from here...
And Barbara, speaking of jobs -- my fingers are crossed for you! So far, so good, it sounds!!
And Athena -- regardless of workload, I did watch Project Runway! Loved the gown that "came in second" (is that Alex?) -- although I was glad to see Anya get a win, which I thought she deserved the weeks she came in second or third!
Hugs and kisses to all -- sorry can't stay longer! E, have a wonderful weekend!
-
E - lol Me and my big ol' biscuit are doing well! lol Thanks for the hugs...back at ya!
Saran Wrap...Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Have fun with your hottie!
-
Ann - that's a good point, she did deserve some recognition - she is very talented. That gown was nice.
E - happy trails, my friend. :-)
-
E, have fun! And I bet you look dynamite in saran wrap.
Sugar, where did you go on your holidays? You know we love trip reports.
Barbara, GOOD LUCK! They'll be lucky to get you.
Long day today, and I expect to have to work this weekend, too . . . but will check in when I can.

Just for fun...thought I'd share (be nice).
This is what Mt. Rushmore looks like on the Canadian side:

-
HAHAHAHA! No wonder the Canadians think our politicans are asses. ;-)
Here's a quick joke for my beer-loving friends: Why is American beer like sex in a canoe? Because it's f***ing close to water! HA!
