One more step in my journey yesterday.  Had my nipples reconstructed!  Left side (non cancer) still has quite a bit of nerve endings so it is definitely sorer than the DIEP side.  Haven't changed the dressing yet, but looked last night.  Weird to see something there now!  Next step in 6 weeks to get inked!

Good to be on the road to looking a bit more normal again!

That's great.  That will be my next journey, re construction.   How was the procedure and how are you feeling?

    Thanks girls!

Orlando, it was really pretty easy.  Just local anesthesia.  I'm a bit sore on the left side as I have more nerve endings there, but not bad at all.  There may be some tweaking to do still but I think things need to "settle down" a bit first before I could say definitively how they look.  I'lll  keep you all posted.

I had nipple reconstruction on Sept 7th.  I am worried about how they look and their placement.  My PS said they will continue to move as my body adjusts to the implants.  I had to have some revision work done on both sides below my arm pits.  Those incisions are the only thing hurting.  I am hoping that will get better soon too.  I am worried that if they dont start looking better that it will be hard to fix and I might be stuck.  Hopefully they will start to look better and not so yucky.

Good luck to you all, and hope everyone has a nice weekend

I am glad for you..........This is my first time here.........I am going today for my fourth Chemo Dose stage III lobular R. breast cancer.  I plan also to have reconstruction surgury on down the road a bit.  I hope everything turns out great for you, sounds as if it is already. Take Care
