Hi,  So sad to think of so many women that do not have husbands that don't get it. I do have a good one.We have been there for each other for 40 years and counting. Things have not always been easy but we will always be there for each other. Johns wife  SharonH

I'm thinking maybe my husband will get it if we are married for 40 years.  We have only been married for 20 so far...

You know, the older you get the wiser you are?

My partner and I had only been together for four months when I found the lump, seven months when I had the mastectomies. He was wonderful and still is. We loved each other almost right from the start. We just click. He instinctively knows how to handle things. He does occasionally have the man things go on, but I usualy let him know and we have a good laugh about it.

I haven't looked at the topic, but I can assure you that I have a husband that gets it.   He is wonderful.   He recognizes when I'm at the edge and need to rest. When I want green vegetables to eat he makes sure that I get them.  The only thing he doesn't do that I wished he did is that when I feel like taking a walk he passes more than he should. But he is an absolute sweatheat!!!!

Yes, it is sad that many women don't get support from their husbands. But if you read it, you'll see she acknowledges that she gets incredible support from her DH in many many areas.
