I also find it very strange that your first post was copied and pasted from a pm.  "Start fragment.....End Fragment"?

Shokker, I think you're losing it.  I still love you though!  Don't visit the "pod" too often.

We're gonna go somewhere too.  It's cold here this morning so Stratford is out.  We're trying to figure out where to go.

Barb, I agree with Bren.  I miss you!  You're a lot of fun!

Blue, I'm so sorry the owners of BCO haven't done more to protect the women who post on this board. I've gotten wonderful advice from women here, don't think I'd have made it through chemotherapy without some of the things I learned from women who had gone before me. AND, the wonderful humour and support especially of women who often post on this thread, has made the days when I don't feel well, much happier!

SO, please try to ignore who ever is attacking the women who post on the thread, she/they are getting so much more vicious, it is obviously a personal vendetta, and in this case I think the Moderators are correct, it really is best to ignore.

Hope all are having a lovely day.

Blue - please don't let it cause stress.  The attacks are getting so personal, I expect that BCO will do something to get that site to recognize they are being used as a vehicle for personal vendettas.  The posters are showing so much of themselves, it is easy to identify them.

I don't expect they will be allowed to return to post at BCO, if the ban wasn't permanent before this, it will be now.  Sun behind the clouds.......

I have never been here before as a poster.

I copied my post from a word document that I composed.  I often do this when a post is really important to me and I want to think about it first.

Blue, we are not such good friends, as I have never communicated directly with you before.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being a positive force in my life,

    That's all.

    Love,

Blue .. our big outing for the day is a trip to the dump.  In the wind and rain.  One good thing is the temps have dropped into the upper 70's.  Almost starting to feel like fall.

Lorax .. I just realized that you're a Dr. Seuss book.  I don't remember ever reading that one to my son though.

    hugs all,

    Bren

Very weird day today. It is pouring rain and the sun is shining brightly. Can't see a rainbow, though.

I loved the Lorax. One word - unless. Welcome, Lorax. Anyone who speaks for the trees is a good gal or guy.

It was 98 Saturday and it's 70 right now. Strange weather! We did get lots of rain and that is certainly welcome.

Hope everyone has a good day.

We may be seeing my other son and his wife and kids today. He has yardwork to do so we might just meet them for dinner. It is about 55 out now. It was 90 three days ago. My DH was vacuming trying to make me feel guilty and get off the computer. I was almost done but now I'm spending a little more time. He has known me long enough to know that doesn't work.

For inquiring minds my new avatar is Cindy Lou Who.

I have a good picture of Baxter now but can only figure out how to cut and paste on Explorer and I am on Firefox and really should be going so another time...

    Lorax

Good to see anyone here who is for sustainable development.

Hello all, I've been dealing with inner ear problems and the resulting vertigo so I haven't been able to spend much time on the computer.  I don't stand a chance of catching up here but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm thinking of you and sending hugs to those who need them.  - Well heck hugs to all but extras to those who need more.

I also want to welcome any newcomers and tell you that you will find this to be a very supportive and fun thread.  I love the discussions that go on here and miss taking part in them and miss my friends here.

I'll be back when my head stops spinning.

    Oh Riverrat

The main reason I got off Femara was the intermittent dizziness, so I really feel for you. Hope you came back to equilibrium soon.

In the last 2 hours I cleaned the living room and the bathroom and did a load of laundry. Kitchen will be done after lunch. I have been on the go so much the last couple of weeks everything was gross. Oh and 6 kids over here yesterday did not help either. But we had so much fun. They swam and watched cartoons(a big deal for 3 of them whose parents are very careful what they watch). I found a wooly bear caterpillar and none of them had seen one before. My daughters and I talked about the kid's new schools since 2 of them start kindergarten this year We had an amazing dinner I found that pound I keep losing!.

Ok - I'm looking out across to Skye!!! Gorgeous!!!! We visited Plockton today - where Hamish MacBeth was filmed - OMG - Totally loved it. We went out on a seal watch boat and saw some lovely fat ones.

The B&B is small but much more welcoming than the previous place. Very nice couple - they offered to do my washing, not like the bitch at the last place. I would have paid. This wee man offered to do it for nothing, but I will insist when we go.

River rat ... I'm sorry your head is spinning.  I hope your inner ear doesn't hurt.

Like Rosemary, I quit taking Arimidex because of extreme vertigo and nausea.  I was afraid to drive it was so bad.

Susie .. glad you're enjoying your new B&B.  It sounds wonderful.

White Rabbit .. I could sure use that candle today!

Rosemary .. you sure are busy!  We've been to the dump and the store .. and that's it.  We rented a movie from the Big Red Box, so will have a quiet day.

    Hugs,

    Bren

I think we're having a larte lunch.DHl wasn't interested when I offered to make it and I'm playing on the computer and he's doing a project. So the kitchen won't get cleaned for a while. Not that it ever stays clean.

{{{R_R}}} so sorry you are spinning. Hate that.

My housekeeper is here so I will have a clean house in about 2 hours. YAY!

DH is making steak and baked red potatoes which will be followed by dark chocolate and some cabernet ice wine. YUM! Had some of that with the chocolate crust key lime pie last night and man was it great.

Coming up for air briefly to express my SHOCK at how productive I have been this long weekend. I accomplished horrendously boring chores, I solved some very difficult reasoning problems and I am delighted!

Sunflowers, I saw the nonprofits site and continue to laugh at the mods' admonition that we "ignore." I think they are the ones who should "ignore" in the form of permanent bans for posters and their computers. That way, they will only be trashed on that other site during one period and not periodically as temporary bans take effect again and again. What is going on can get out hand and dangerous and ignoring is not a good safety policy. I am afraid it may take something awful to get BCO to react as other large forum mods do. People have to stop living in la la land and see danger when it comes.

.....anyway, off to do more productive things. It's fun to be holed up occasionally. I also feel much less stressed getting these tedious things done.

Hugs to all, and hope you are all having a decent day. This is a friendship thread and it shows.

Rosemary ... I think my candle misfired and lit a fire under you instead ... sorry about that Wink  I'll have a clean house in a couple of hours only if I ever get started.

Lorax ... all friends are welcome here.  Cherryl is our favorite tree hugger and just happens to be our bartender too.  Let her pour you a drink and tell us more about yourself why don't you.

    ETA ... 'Hi' Athena!!

River-Rat, I've dealt with inner ear problems over the last 9 years or so. It is so very disconcerting when it happens. Do you pass out with it? I do, but at least I've learned to recognize when it is coming on. the first feeling of fullness in the ear I run to the Dr. for sinus meds.

Just got back.  Had a lovely day with Ray and the 2 kooks.  Gonna start rolling out the dough for our home-made pizza in a bit, but have to digest the Funnel Cake we had first.  hehehehehehe!  It was soooooooo good.  Fresh strawberries and ice cream.

Lorax, there were a lot of people back then, so it's difficult to remember all.  Why so cryptic.  Let us in on the secret.

RR, inner ear infections are the worse.  No Pain, just dizzyness.

    Athena, productive is good.

I CRS so I will see you all later!

Got back after a lovely dinner and my washing was dried and folded - what a darling. The man here has a friend with a computer problem, so I've offered to reformat his hard drive - that should make up for the washing - I still want to slip them something extra though.

Bad weather forecast for tomorrow, not sure how much of Skye we'll see. DH did go for a wee drive over there before dinner so I could see some of it.

    Time for bed,

    Sue

RR - hope you're feeling better.  There seems to be so little we can do when the inner ear is not functioning.  Even "resting" isn't much rest.  Be sure to stay hydrated  that seems to be the only thiing that helps.

Athena - was thinking about you, glad you've had a productive time.  Am ignoring, just as requested, and not posting anything over there. We'll get to see how much good "ignoring" does.  I don't feel any responsibility to "defend" - just sad at the attack.  When "peer review", being helped and supported by peers, becomes "policing" there really is no possibility of communication.

Pizza!  Hone made PIZZA. Yummy :)

A long, tiring day . . . but a good one.  Took SO to the airport early in the morning, then went directly to the staging area for Detroit's Labor Day parade.  Lots of standing around waiting for things to move, then even more standing around at the other end, waiting for the President's appearance.  But it was definitely worth it: the President gave a great speech and Aretha Franklin was awesome.

Now, though, I'm thoroughly pooped.  I had a beer with dinner, and I see some ice cream and a Netflick in my immediate future.  River-rat, sorry about the inner ear problems, and hope you feel much better soon.

(The college update: one of DD's new friends marked her first weekend as a college student by getting her nose pierced.  I'm glad she has friends who are into that sort of thing, and I'm even more glad that she is NOT into it herself.  Oh, and she informs me that she thinks she inadvertently signed up for the Muslim Students Association but isn't sure.  Long story, involving a samosa-selling fundraiser for famine relief in Somalia.)
