Lump in Neck-So Scared

This is really got me so worried.  My DH had an ultrasound on a lump in his neck just under his jaw.  The doc's office called him at home 2 hours later and wants him to go for CT as soon as possible,  I'm so scared.  He's had this for at least 7 years or so and our family doc  never felt it was anything to be concerned about.  Even during dental visit, the dentist didn't feel it was something to worry about.  Looking back now, after going thru BC I wish he would have had this biopsied or scanned long ago.  How can this be there all these years and now suddenly it's an issue.  I'm so upset I never forced him to check more into it.  What's worse, is he didn't even tell me the doc wanted him to have it done and his appointment was in June.  He waited till last week just to make an appointment for the ultrasound.

    Sometimes life just plain sucks. So sorry. Don't know what to say. I hope the best for him.

    Hey there..I have a lump on my neck..Its soft moveable and perfectly round. I have had it for years.

    Hubbie's can be so hard-headed at times.  Maybe they're being overly cautious, try not to stress until you have a real reason to.  I'm in the dental world and even though I don't know your dentist personally, they do go through a lot head and neck anatomy only.  More so than a regular dr so if he felt it was nothing and its been there so long then maybe it is.  Prayers and hugs going your way, I hope you find out soon.

    It seems like this crap comes from all angles sometimes doesn't it?  Praying for you and your husband that your issues will all be taken care of quickly and easily!!
