I spent the whole day yesterday laundering all my stuff in HOT HOT water so ladies keep your fingers crossed that they did not come home with us.....this latest trip put a damper on travelling. My husband is sooooo grossed out and not even sure if he wants to go anywhere again.....We are such neat freaks and I check at every hotel we ever check into...Lets hope he comes to his senses and not every place will be like the last one.
Irene is here and tress branches are falling everywhere and I am so worried as I have a huge a tree in my front year that I am worried about falling on our house. I have cleaned out our pool 3 times since the morning and we are in the worst of the storm now.....However I love my kids that they think this is all so very cool and are running around outside screaming ( probably driving my neighbors NUTS).....ha ha
Wishing you all a very happy Sunday friends!
-
Junie that would unerve me too!!!! yuck.. please be safe and let us know how you are doing!!! thinking of you!!1 love and hugs!!!!!!
-
JUne bed bugs really, that grosses me out. Hot water and a hot dryer should take care of the pest.
Shari I take 5000mcg of biotin and I do think it has slowed down my hair loss. I also use a shampoo and conditioner with biotin in it.
Had a wonderful time with the fam yesterday and got some wonderful pictures. Can't wait to get them from the photographer. Guys are getting ready to go play golf and us girls are going to get pedis and then swimming at my friends house.
-
Sherry so happy that you are enjoying your weekend with your family! so great!!!!!!
-
June I hope you stay safe and sound. Will have you in my thoughts and prayers this week! May the bb get drowned out by all this!
Sherry so glad you are having a blast with the family. I want a pedi as well, but that will wait. Enjoy!
Tink its good to see that you are safe as well. Take care!

Those Bed bugs have to be dead as I ruined so much of my familys clothing by washing in hot and drying as I tend to not dry our clothes.....it is just my luggage that I thre in our shed that I am worried about. Not sure how to clean that. I was told to vacuum it and put it in a large sealed bag of some sort for many months.....why oh why me? Haven't I been through enough to worry about those ugly little critters....
As for Irene she did little damage. tons of branches down, but nothing major.....whew!

Hiya Basha,
I've been on Tamox pre-chemo and my experience was hot flushes and mood swings. Hot flushes especially 10 minutes after waking up lasting for just as long. So my advise, should you be unlucky, invest in a good old fashioned hand fan. Saved my sanity many times.
Best wishes

Hi Cat and welcome to the train! The flashes are the thing that gets me the most. I totally understand the need for a hand fan.
-
Shari - I have already told my friend Becky that is anything is found in either one of my boobs not only is it going to be biopsied - whatever it is is coming out now. I am not going to mess around and play the 6 month wait and see game. Like Sherry, I also take 5000mcg of Biotin and I have noticed some slow down in the hair thinning.
June - Bed bugs - Yuck! I would come unglued. I'm pretty sure you killed all those critters when you did the laundry. Kiss Kiss Sweetie
Cat - Welcome to the tammy train - the hot flashes is about the only thing I am having to deal with and I have been on Tammy 8 months now.
-
Hope everyone is safe in the path of Irene. It is downgraded to tropical storm. Windy and bursts of heavy rain. We covered the pool and brought in deck furniture etc.. Mostly trees and branches down with power outages and coastal flooding too. Could be worse. I am just glad it is not winter and a Noreaster.
June, my son is outside right now having a blast making lots of noise in the wind.
-
Nicole how old is your son? Yeah, my kids had a blst and yes it was downgraded here as well.....
-
Hi all. It sure has been a wild weekend for all. You EC gals with the weather, Im glad that you all are safer now.

-

-
Hey June - Glad to see you here again.
Okay! I just posted this on another thread and have to come here as this is one of my favorite threads. I am having a kinda bummer day. My one year cancerversary is coming up on Tues and I am sitting here and just wanting to cry. This time last year I was absolutely freaking out about my surgery on Monday morning. So many mixed emotions. I am supposed to go see my BS on Tues morning for a social visit - he wanted me to come by on my one year and will not take no for an answer. He is such a sweetie. Maybe I just have to get through tomorrow and Tues will be a day to somewhat celebrate.
I am so grateful to be here one year later and even more grateful to have found all you wonderful ladies.
Hugs
Jo
-
Dont forget the pillows, lol!!!!!!!!!!
-
Paula - How about some nice fluffy ones.
-
Ok Jo.............i still have many Tinerdoodle hugs to give you! as many as you need... aah those pillows look so inviting!!!
-
Hi Jo,
I haven't posted here yet but seeing your last post is calling me. I have been reading this topic for a few weeks now and you always seem so positive about this entire THING we are/have, and when you say you just want to cry, I know what you mean. I have been positive to others throughout all this and sometimes we just need to cry. I have been fighting off a good cry now for about 10 days...dread getting in the shower and thinking about it...that is where i cry a lot. Go ahead and cry and know that you have bug hugs around you. (((((hugJo))))). We do need to let it out.
I guess I should tell about me but will need to come back to do that! 8^)
