Hi my Tami girls. My Se are starting to let up. Im still having some warm flashes, but not as many. I think it help from the Effexer working. I would like to stop that as well. It seems like I have become a pill popper and Im not liking it. Before all the BC stuff the only thing I really took was asprin. I have read about the weight issues from other posts but I havent had that problem.
Jo we got to the pillow fight and I forgot to mention the post about Becky. That is so dang crazy with her history. I sometimes wonder why they ignore certian issues. I always thought it was the doctors around here that did that, but now I see its like that around the country. Things need to change. The first time I had BC I would have been in worse trouble then I was if it wasnt for my doctor. I hope and pray that Beckys doctor will stay right on top of this.
Oh and before I go WHACK WHACK WHACK miszed, lol!!!!!!
-
Paula - Becky is such a trooper and a real inspiration. I do know she will stay on top of this. She has already told me even if it is a cyst she is going to have it taken out now - no lets watch this for 6 months.
-
Thats good to hear Jo! I remember when the BS told me it was BC I was floored. I was very lucky that they got it when they did. It was very small and the location would have been a nightmare for me if they ignored it. I am so luckey that my PC is very proative when it comes to women and thier health. The dang radiolgists sure arent. They gave me the same form letter as Becky, so Im glad shes gonna stay on top of it.
-
Paula - I too was floored when my BS gave me the news. After an annual mammo, a compression manno and US I still did not even think about it being cancer. My GYN told me it looked like a cyst - my tumor was very small and close to my chest wall. My BS was so amazing - I can't ever thank him enough for being so kind and compassionate.
-
Jo I am glad that Becky is going to push forward and do that why wait would be my question too!
I think when i found out my bs was more surprised then i was I just had a feeling and she kept saying you dont fit any risk factors etc and she had a hard time finding it blah blah blah. I remember when she called me it was like she didnt know how to tell me i will never forget it was like she really felt bad about having to say it she said " looks like you have a little cancer there".. hmmm a little i think was suppose to make it feel better, very sweet lady though
Ladies im off to do some cooking and arm massage for myself as my arm has really been bugging me but that does seem to help.. on this dreary day i leave you lovely ladies these
-
Girls I love all the new virtual pillows.....you girls sure have been busy.
Jo your friend really has a good friend in you.....hopefully it is nothing more than just a cyst.....I will keep saying a prayer.
I got back early from NY as they were shutting down all local transportation and I really didn't want to get stuck there. As we were packing up late late last night we found a freaking bed bug on the comforter (which we took off the beds)....but I freaked and got a refund for last night and now I am fighting the previous night as I have so much laundry to do to make sure those pesky little suckers don't take up residence here......what a day to spend doing preventative all day!!!!
Miss you all and it still is early so WHACK to all of you even misszed......
love ya all!!
-
Tink - I thnk I have told you this but when I had my first MO appt before surgery, he wanted to know how the BS had gotten enough to biopsy since my tumor was so small. I said to him - I can show you the massive bruise I have from him getting in there and getting a piece of me and then putting in markers. The flowers are lovely by the way.
June - BED BUIGS REALLY??? I would have done the same thing and raised a fit. You definitely don't want those critters taking up residence in your house.
-
Misszed- I get neck pain too...tha muscule that goes across our chests and back..all connected. My physiotherapist said to do trigger point massages...I have been and it really works...so do some arm exercizes with one of those rubberized elastic band things
I have missed a ton of pages ladies and am desperately trying to keep up but I know I am missing a lot. Tink. I hope the day went well...anniversary dates are never easy....this past year is the first that I have not been triggered by my parent's dates...think too many other things were going on...but I plan on visiting their gravesite this visit home to Ottawa (leaving tomorrow before the storm!)
Paula, Jo, Tink, June, Sherry...WHACK whack...in case you have a pillow fight while I am in Ottawa for a few days!
-
Thanks Sandee!!
good to see you back!Glad you liked the flowers JO!
-
oh yeah.. so far so good the winds are picking up here it is supossed to get bad around midnight so we will see... what a week!
-
Tink - Stay safe.
Prayers and hugs for all those in the path of the storm.
-
Tink I think you guys are still a category 1, right? We have been downgraded to TS so they think......Our landfall is in the morning at around 11ish....stay safe my friend!!
Hey Jo Jo how are you???? ladies have a wonderful Saturday night as I am off to bed as we drove through the night last night and I am wiped.......kiss kiss all....
-
Stay safe my EC sisters! You all will be in my thoughts of safety the next few days.
June Ive got the jebbies just thinking about the bed bugs. What a way to end a trip!
-
Hi, Guys,
Have also missed many pages, been away. Skimming, I see I missed quite a bit of fun. Thanks for the fun pix.
Jo, Becky is right not to listen to that waiting six months crap. They told me that in may after a follow up MRI showed a tiny something on the other breast. Said we could watch it for six mos to which I replied, not six minutes. Biopsied it and it was a benign cyst. Even waiting that one week for the bs results was he'll. Can't imagine six mos of wondering. At least they now listen to us when we pitch a fit about not wanting to wait.
My nails are now like paper and I have more hair shedding. Those of you who take biotin, can you tell me about it? How do you take it? Shampoo too?
Thanks! For those of you on the east coast, suffering an earthquake and a hurricane in one week, wishing you a safe one,
shari -
I just started taking Biotin so I dont know if it is helping yet. I also use a shampoo with Biotin in it. Will let you know when i see some results
All is ok here in Northern Va we did lose power thank God the lights flickered and power surged a few times but we are ok!
June so glad you got home from NY safely hugs!!!!
Have to go call and check on family in PA and Ny!
Hugs to all my tammy ladies!!1
