edited June 2014 in Stage III Breast Cancer

I posted this on the Help Me Get Through Treatments forum but wanted to also share it with my Stage III sisters just in case you never frequent the Treatments one.

I just saw this video this morning on GMA and wanted to share it with all of you.  I have been so fortunate to have such a wonderful support group & they really have loved me through it.

Martina McBride - I'm Gonna Love You Through It

Loved the song.  It reminds me of my DH who has so loved me thru this BC thing.  Thank you for posting this.  I listened to the whole song and read the words and it made me a little teary eyed.

A little teary-eyed?  I sat here with the tears just streaming!  Loved it though - thanks for the link.

Not a stage 3 but was sure someone would post about this song.  I too, saw this video on GMC this morning.  What a powerful song.  I have never in my life cried while watching a music video.  Good job Martina McBride.

Yes, it's definitely tears for me when I listen to it.  I didn't mean to make anyone sad but that song so captures my journey over the past two years & I thought some of you might be able to relate.

I showed it to my sweet husband when he came home from work and he watched it with tears in his eyes and said it took him back to my diagnosis.

    This part ...

Now it's forced smiles and baggy shirts
To hide what the cancer took from her
But she just wants to feel like a woman again
She said, "I don't think I can do this anymore"
He took her in his arms and said "That's what my love is for"

Really captures the way I've been feeling since I lost my implant & it's exactly how he wraps his arms around me and let's me know it will be alright.  Then again, sometimes my fears are much more than simply the loss of my breasts.  I know you girls understand.
