I uploaded mine to photobucket.com... Then click on the link from pb and it copies it... Then using the little tree icon on here, paste the link and resize to like 500x500

Lisa looking good! I am getting there, but not yet, I am 3 weeks pfc. I cannot wait till I can go topless!
-
ksmatthews--I am 3.5 weeks PFC, and just have fuzz. What's going on with your hair at this point?
Jane
-
Same here just fuzz! Dark fuzz though!
-
Hello Ladies,
I am just about 6 weeks PFC and my hair that held on through chemo is now falling out!!! I am not seeing any new growth and I am so bummed. This is crazy...
-
Ok at 4 weeks I was just barely seeing sprouts so hang on ladies it's coming. Also the hair that never fell out broke off as the new hair came in so don't fret that.
-
Carrol2--That's good to know. I have some hair that didn't come out. Looking forward to it! It is so hot here in Texas, and the wig doesn't help much.

jane i had these long hairs along my hairline that never fell out and i kept them because they looked good under hats on the sides. As the new hair came in they broke off but some where a little longer than the new hair in the end so i had my hairdresser trim it to make it all even as soon as I had enough i think at about 4 months PFC. I do recommend taking pics once a month it helps to track the progress you don;t have to post them just for your own info so you can stop staring in the mirror every day.
-
i'm on day 9 from first tx and eww ... i've lost most of my nose hair. that's SO GROSS! well, not really, but still. no other hair is coming out yet.
-
YaYa just wait. Many of us got free Brazilians!
DH seemed like that.
The no leg and pit shaving is really nice too. The hair fall out isn't all bad.
-
lago, at my age, a brazilian isn't necessarily a good thing!! i'm watching, though. remember, i just hate hair in the shower. ewwwwww.
-
Just went shopping at TJ Maxx and they had the nioxin hair treatment there in huge bottles. I had ordered my 3 step program from amazon in small bottles. So I got the shampoo and the scalp treatment. Didn't get any conditioner. All this was level 2.
-
I finally went topless yesterday after 4 mos. PFC. The wig was so hot I just couldn't stand it any longer and I was feeling sick with the heat rising to my head. It was strange going w/o the wig though because my hair is full in the back and sides but the top is shorter and you can see my pink scalp in many places. The Herceptin definitely is making a difference in my once fast growing hair to slo-mo pace.
I was hoping no one would look at me funny while out shopping yesterday but several people smiled at me. I don't know which is worse, not being noticed, which is what I wanted, or people smiling and I'm wondering if it's because they can see my scalp and think it's funny because my hair is all white with a pink scalp showing through. I can't help it, I just can't wear the wig in this heat anymore. Scarves are too hot as well. I guess I'll just smile back.
-
Fitz - I know what you mean about white with pink scalp showing through. I'm only a week out, plus Herceptin will probably slow things down, too. It's maybe 3/4" all around, but bright pink showing through. I teach high school, and while most of my kids were thrilled with the novelty of my long, white, wavy mane (most of them have known me their whole life), one girl burst into tears. Plus, I'm more timid about "those looks" from my colleagues. I was given a soft, billed cotton cap that's too big for me, and looks a bit silly, but in our heat, I suspect it'l be my head covering of choice once back at work. At least until I have a couple of inches of scalp cover.
-
YaYa - I'm with you, no Brazilian required. And after 4 AC treatments, I still have that hair, 1/2" stubble over most of my head, and very slight growth on my legs, but no armpit hair. We're all so different! It may go with Taxol, or maybe not...who knows?

I get the looks w/o the wig or scarf. There are visible parts of my scalp too- like many of yall. It still feels better w/o the wig or scarf now that it's growing back.
I didn't miss shaving my legs- kinda got out of the swing of that- now I have to remember it again!
-
ok.... the only way I could show my new do is my avaitar...... I am 6 months post..and my first haircut.
-
Tracie, you look great!
-
Tracie: Adorable!
-
Love the new do Tracie!
-
Tracie, love the new do!!! I think I am about where you and lago and Carol2 are/have been recently. Hair about an inch and a half long, curly, gray showing, sort of not-well-groomed appearance and need to do something soon as I start back to work tomorrow and have students starting in 2 more weeks. I did color my hair with a level 2 temporary color that my sister helped me choose - have never done my own before but it wasn't that difficult, now just need a style. Hadn't seen my real color in over 20 years, didn't like the gray, so went back to the color! Also don't like that peach fuzz on my face, thanks for the various comments and suggestions from several of you ladies. My legs and pit hair were the first to come back, but now seem to not be growing much at all (shave legs a couple times a week, pits about twice a month!). Interesting, don't know what that's all about, nice to know others have experienced this also as it makes me feel less abnormal. Less abnormal is nice.
-
Tracie - do you have a pic of right before your haircut? Just curious....you did well to leave it for so long before cutting it. I'm just coming up on six months and I've had the ends snipped twice but I think now I'll just leave it alone and see what comes of it. Did you colour it?
And ofcourse...IT LOOKS LOVELY!! Think I told you that on FB too

I went today and bought the Nioxen, hoping it helps. I am 3 1/2 weeks pfc and I am ready for some hair!
Marjie, dont remember if I ever told you, but I love your hair too, it looks really good on you.

Tracie, Your haircut is very cute. I have cut out the short haircuts that are featured in the new InSTyle magazine, Makeover edition. A girl can dream, right?

hi ladies; i haven't been here for a long time, cause nothing was changing. very light hair in the front, almost bald...fast forward to 6 drs later.. i have a little hope. they dxed me with Hashimotos disease, an auto immune disease (yet another one) that affects the t4 in the thyroid.
a small mass in the right side..so, am taking synthyroid now, to shrink it. then, biopsy; poss surgery; or rads in the future. have 3 mos to wait n see. they said MAYBE my hair will thicken as the thyroid gets straightened out!!hope springs eternal!!! im still going topless most days, got lots in the back; hardly none in the front..but, we'll see. its' just too hot for a wig.. gotta learn to rock the headbands for now..
just wanted you to know.. when i ck in with the dr. in Oct; he'll give me the ok for nioxin.. youre pictures are gorgeous; and give me hope it'll change in time, for me, too.....stay well.......3jays
-
3jaysmom,
Glad you are making progress in diagnosis with your thyroid disease, hope other than the hair you are feeling well. I continue to watch the hair group, I am over 3 months out and have the slowest growing hair 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I guess we are all different. Rock those headbands, for me it is baseball caps, I like the Life is Good ones, they come in ladies sizes so they are smaller.
-
I am at the point soon now where I think I will need to cut the back a bit or it will begin to look like a mullet I just can;t bring myself to cut too much. Maybe one more month. I am about 8 months PFC now.

13 weeks PFC
