I go to CA to visit DD alone but DH does not go anywhere alone. But if he wanted to and had a good reason I would not mind.

True.....I have my coffee, a glass of sun tea a day and the rest of the time it's water. If I cannot get unsweetened tea at a restaurant or in someone's home then I always opt for water.
MRDRN: My husband has always taken a ski or fishing or golf trip with his buddies at least once a year.....I have gone on trips with my girlfriends to places that he isn't interested in going to - we have our together vacations several times a year. Works out well.

DH and I often take separate vacations. He annoys me when I'm at the beach (which he doesn't enjoy), I annoy him when he's at a casino (which I don't enjoy)...........so we do our own thing & then take a vacation together doing something we both like. I kind of look forward to him being gone because then I don't have to cook!!!!!

True...really ready for cooler weather. But I also would take a snowstorm over this hot and humid weather. You can always warm up in cold weather but hard to do anything outside in this miserably hot, heavy air
