rainbowpony, having a BMX is a very personal decision. Anyone having one such as my mom did have given it much much thought, and in my mom's case the family supported her decsion.

    Patzee:

Actually, I was delighted to be rid of my breasts in favor of smaller, perkier B-cups. Went window shopping the day I decided on a BMX. Free (insurance paid) cosmetic surgery. That was a gain for me and the good side of BC for me.

I have nothing but respect for the majority for whom a BMX felt traumatic. I cannot use my experience and points of view and project onto others.

I have walked with a lighter, happier step since losing my ugly, shapeless breasts. I now have some of my choosing and making. I worked with a fabulous surgeon, and the experience of rebuilding and creating was fulfilling.

Other women may mourn the loss of their nice breasts, or have awful experiences with reconstruction. On this board, hopefully we are there for each other no matter what.

The point is, these contrasting experiences can coexist. The entire world of BC does not revolve around you, Patzee/Susan. You are having a hissy fit because you got cancer and you are hell bent on taking the entire board down your road of self-pity if you can. Other women approach this disease with bravery, maturity and compassion. You might learn something from them. Don't expect pity violins from us. You have shown great cruelty on this board to some women who have it far, far harder than you. You have had the audacity to take offence when you give offence by the hour, it seems. You posts have been, at times, exploitative of others, full of dissembling and ill meant. Your credibility is, at this point, zero. Your claims that you are "bullied" or just want to be in peace do not pass the smell test.

I can't wait to see Barbara's "calendar girl" -and I too loved that movie.

But something in the "air" is reminding me of "The Three Faces of Eve" - and much as I loved Joanne Woodward, it was creepy.  And I can hear someone "roaring" - 3, that's nothing, I think there's 5 and counting.

Patzee, only time will tell if your intentions are sincere.  Thank you for the apologies.  It was the least you could do.

well, Blue, I don't know what was done to pesronally insult you, but given the posts by Sleuth, Mindover matter, Stellar, Susan, Patzee - I don't think there is an apology which can cover the damage done to this  bc.org community.  I'm not inerested in "cut & paste", honestly, I can appreciate the "water under the bridge" approach - but when the bridge was destroyed - well...

cometh the phrase" to each her own" - and the ignore button ;)

Patzee, you must think we're awfully gullible.  You say you've apologized, but you haven't apologized for this one yet.  You might recall having posted it just 2 hours ago, over on the "M.I.C." thread:

"Recess is over, except of course for the preschoolers.  So, off you go kiddies to your I say yes, you say no playgroup.  Hurry, or you'll be late for milk and cookies."

FWIW, the milk and cookies are not free on this thread.  They must be earned through good behavior.  Blue is in charge, though, so she can overrule everybody else and offer someone a cookie if she thinks they can play nicely.

As I said at a meeting that was way too serious. We are all a little crazy. It is how we cope with it and deal with others that matters.

    I thank you, too, Patzee.

OK, tonight is a concoction of mine that *should* be good. I got an organic wild rice pilaf mix at the health food store to which I added some canned tomatoes and hormone free ground beef and some spices. I will let you know how it turns out. This will be followed by fresh organic raspberries. I am berrying my brains out for as long as I can get organic.

Athena - Your description of how you feel after your BMX has made me feel that if I do end up having to do it too - I will remember what you said and feel good about it. I have never liked my boobs - DD - they've always been a BIG burden, but I am a really big chicken when it comes to any kind of surgery, hence my refusal of a BMX after bilateral bc. I won't have a choice if there is a next time and I hope I will walk with a lighter step too.

Chicken sauted in olive oil then simmered in viegar and garlic, rice pilaf and leftover pasta salad.

And the big glass of red wine I ordered is excellent.

Okay, blue... thanks.  I'll have another margarita, with just a whiff of tequila.  But I might be late, 'cause I'm stopping at Barbara's house first to have some of what she's having.

I'm being bad. Hamburgers with cheese and sauteed onions on a bun, home fries, and tomato slices.
