If we're going to get all particular here ... I would expect a thread on the Medical Industrial Complex to contain a discussion of the good and bad of the medical business establishment ... and the supplemental industry too. Could have been a very interesting discussion topic ...

Hello All! I've been on limited computer time and caught site of that other thread so between reading that, reading here and reading the dx specific threads I read I haven't posted much lately.
I just wanted to step in and say thank you to those who have been posting counter to the supposition that the entire medical community is a big rip-off or whatever they're trying to say. I am someone else who would be ok with statements that a particular course wasn't right for a particular poster, but it absolutely astounds me the generalized statements that are being made and not deleted by the moderators. I have noticed more moderator presence and I am appreciative for that so I think that perhaps as long as there are counter postings and it's not all one sided they are letting it stand because the posters are doing a good job of cautioning newbies. So I thank those of you who have been carrying that water.
-
RR - I've missed you. Hope you are able to get more computer time soon!
-
Thanks, Athena! I miss talking to all my friends here too, but I've been reading and enjoying the conversation - hopefully about another week of craziness and I should have some time.
-
Good calculating - lol!
-
<sigh>
-
Have you heard of Michael Jackson? Geez!
-
Didn't you say you were going to Yoga?
-
If you have a point rainbow pony I'm not getting it. This is a thread for friendship and general chitchat ... guilty as charged ... I guess.
What anybody does ... or does not ... talk about here has nothing to do with their interest in any other topics on this board. This is afterall a 'discussion board' with a wide range of forums.
A few of the alternative threads have been wanting to function more as blogs I think. Mere statements of an individual(s) beliefs with no discussion or dissent allowed. You have to get your own site and blog if you want that kind of total control of the conversation.

Blue he was really good until he went all weirdo. Even then, he was still pretty good, just weird.
-
Yeah I love that song. Sing it every time I see somebody.
-
I agree in his younger years he was very good. Sad how things went a the end.
-
OMG .. I just got the fly joke! I'm slow on this thread! Need to read back.
Blue .. love that pic of Michael .. he just looks so free in that picture!
Rainbowpony .. this is a thread for fellowship, friendship and plain old chit chat. That's why we don't always talk about cancer on this thread. I'm over four years out and still like to check in here with all the friends I've made over the years.
Chaplain ... please have a G&T for me!
hugs,
Bren
-
Bourbon and coke please ... and make it a double.
-
I love MJ. Very kind soul.
-
Just thought I'd cut and paste this from my previous post:
I have a theory that sounds absurd and that I only give credence to because of the absurdity of the situation: the acting up started again after susieq's "chemo/complementary" thread overtook "only alternative/holistic" in number of hits and posts. The attention-getting kicked in again, helped by the coincidence of a different poster, leia, starting a new thread.
-
Wabbit, not unti I get my gin & tonic.
-
Oh, and if this is the BCO bar and grill, it means adults only. Condolences on the thread contest, but we don't sell pacifiers here in our homeroom.
-
LOL Athena.
Drinks on their way!
