Looking for a great onc. in Rocky Mtns.

Anyone know of a great onc. in the Rocky Mtn. region for my follow-ups. I just posted on the hormonal board, but here's my issue.  I just found out that trazodone reduces the effectiveness of tamoxifen.  I have been taking trazodone every night (sometimes 2 X's per night) since last June -- I started tamoxifen last Oct. --  and was never informed by my onc who prescribed both drugs of this interaction. Neither did he tell me that benedryl shouldn't be taken with it also. WTF???? I did have a hysterectomy in February -- so I guess that was a good decision. But still -- here I've been thinking that I had all this protection with tamoxifen!! Now, of course, I'm worried. Can someone help talk me down.RachelDX IDC May 2010 grade 3 with lymph node involvement, BRCA2+ and ER+

    Hi Rachel,

    Sorry I'm on the East Coast (have relatives in Denver though, will ask them if they can recommend someone), but am curious about the benadryl thing too.  I take that or something like Tylenol PM on occasion too for help w/sleep.

    Rachel...I'm in Denver and Dr. Dev Paul at RMCC at Rose Hospital in my onc...his speciality is breast cancer.....I can get the phone number to you if you want.  His partner is Scott Sedlacek who is also quite good (though I've not seen him, I have friends who are his patients). Karen

    Thanks Karen. I'll have to check him out. I think I'm having Stephanie Miller at Rose do the bilat. mastectomy.  Have you heard of her? Rachel

    I met with Stephanie Miller and liked he'd very much. In the end went with Barbara Schwartzburg. I also met with both Dev Paul and Dr. Sedlechek. Both excellent. I have also been consulting with an onc in Glenwwod springs who is very knowledgable if that is closer then you coming to Denver. His name is Ira Jaffry (I think) that is his last name.
