If this is from chemo I it will speed up for sure. You will find some on our  pillow but mostly will fall out in the shower. It does come out rather fast once it starts. I highly recommend you cut is short because it is messy. I didn't buzz mine but did cut is short. I was vacuuming my bathroom and pillow every morning… but I had/have a lot of think hair.

Just to let you know it's growing back rather nicely now. Yes it does grow back.

Mine came out by the handful and brushful. After 3 brushfuls I buzzed it to 1/2". I wore a skull cap/bandana to bed so it wouldn't get all over the pillow. Sorry.....

My hair just started coming out in clumps so I shaved my head that night.  The worse thing was that my scalp hurt so bad as the follicles were trying to release from the skin - imagine wearing a too tight ponytail for 24 hours - that is how I felt.  Relief from pain was almost automatic.

I did cut 7" off my hair the week earlier just so that I could see myself with short hair and it not be such a dramatic change for me.

Lago - How many days did it last? Mine has been falling for the last couple days, mainly lots of hair on my pillow case and I also go in the wind and try to brush it to remove what is loose. I feel like a cat that is shredding. I slept with a cap last night and there are a lots in it this morning.

My hairdresser/wig lady told me not to shave and she did cut it really short for me. Not pretty LOL. Yet, I have the urge to ask my husband to shave me. I have had a lots of hair falling off, yet I still have a lots of hair on my head, and I always though that my hair was NOT thick. Go figure. It is certainly an interesting experience. Althought I would not wish it to anybody.

Mine started dropping right before my second chemo, June 30, and it has been coming out in gobs mostly in the shower.  I am vacuuming every day too.  Although I have lost alot, I still have hair.  I got it cut pretty short right before chemo though.  I was going to buzz it but my husband suggested I just leave it for now.  But it continues to leave every day at about the same rate.

A friend of mine said if you shave it, don't shave it too short, because it will feel like you are sleeping on a porcupine.

My hair started falling out slowly on July 2nd. My first treatment was June 17th. It fell out consistantly every day. I hated to take a shower as that is where i seemed to lose the most. I tried to hang on to it as long as possible but just got tired of cleaning up the hair everyday. I had to wear a hat at all times so the hair wouldnt be all over the house. On July 19th I shaved my head. I just couldnt take it anymore. I put the lint rollers away as that is what I used to clean up the hair mess everyday. Now I just wear a doo-rag everyday.
