linky to transition. I'll have to check back and see what I did. I have updated the image so I might have renamed it improperly.

I am 3.5 months PFC.  I am so glad I do not have to wear my wig anymore.  It is summer and I live in Florida.  No curls so far, maybe as it get longer.  It feels finer than it was before and more gray, then again I have been coloring for a while so it is hard to tell.

My head is not the only place I am growing hair unfortunately.  I have hair on my cheeks it is fine but long.  The werewolf look is so unbecoming!!!  I am thinking I need to make an appointment to get laser hair removal done.

Looks great Islandmom!! Nice even coverage coming in at a good pace. Mine was straight at first too and then curled as it got longer.

carberry i know what you mean about  messy hair now. I drove with my windows open after i got out of the gym and was all wet and sweaty and my hair was so curly and all over the place, sticking up like a crazy person. I stopped at the post office and the clerk said hey curly lol. It's good to have hair again but ugh! I can't wait for it to grow long enough for me to do something with the style.

slcst12, your hair looks great, I can't wait to color.

I like Racy look about like your 6.5 week picture, and we are all the same time post chemo.  Racy, I am so glad you look the same as me, I was worried.

My eyebrows are coming back so quick, I may need to pluck a few crazy ones.  I am at the coast this week on vacation and this is keeping me away from looking in the mirror all day long.  I love having almost no hair on the beach, so easy to just put on a hat and go, no hair to get in the sun screen, etc.Cool

Tomorrow will be 13 weeks PFC. I have 2 MAJOR cow licks in the front that will probably require a lot of length to look normal.. I am not really noticing length but volume. Grow baby grow : )

Great picture Kasey!  You have beautiful eyes.  And your hair is coming in nicely.  I am still on chemo, Taxotere and Herceptin, but I think my hair is starting to come in.  I finished AC 8 weeks ago.  I can just feel a little peach fuzz on the top of my head.  I hope it's going to continue.  I still have two more treatments of Taxotere to go.

Hi girls havent been on in awhile.  I have one treatment  left, but I swear I can see hair growing back.  I have had to shave my legs a couple of times too!  I never thought I would be excited about that.

    I have hair!

    I have hair!

I went to a bbq on saturday, first time out without a hat, spiked the hair and wore a cute headband. A guy I never met before comes up and tells me "hi, i really like your haircut! it brings out your eyes, very nice!"

I said "you just made my day, you don't even know how much you made my day!"

so the next day I wear my new punky, spikey, super short hair to work, and I have had tons of compliments!!!!!!

now I am totally loving it!!!

Kasey: Love your hair! Love your eyes!

    HDAngelBaby:
Awesome on topless...I'm not quite there yet!

    All:
I did finally go "topless" at home for DH and my two young sons. My little baby (2 yrs old) says, "Mama, put hat back on..." then he said, "Mama, hat!" I think I may have freaked him out a little...but by later on last night he was like, "Mama, feel hair" and rubbing my head :)

    Hi Everyone!

I feel so comforted reading this discussion board. I'm almost 2 months past last chemo and I have hair again...sort of! Its whiteish with dark undertones in the back and very curly! Very thin at the temples though. My brows are finally in and my eyelashes are starting to appear again. I'm very happy...however, I'd like to go back to being a brunette. Actually I haven't seen my real hair color in the past 40 years! My friends and hubby love the short whitish-grey poodle hair and are encouraging me to keep it, but when I look into the mirror .....I don't see me! I only see cancer.

I'm going to buy Nioxin today at Amazon, and also start taking Biotin. Yeterday I saw my breast cancer surgeon and she said that I should wait 6 months to dye my hair because it may turn a wierd color. Well, my daughter's wedding is in December and I'm not sure I can wait that long. Can you imagine...I've had 2 months of AC, and 3 months of Taxol...and the thing I'm concerned about is my hair!  Also kind of scared to go "topless", but whoa....its getting hot under my wig when I go shopping!

Good news...I finally had the expander removed, a silicon implant put in, and had a breast lift on the other one! Lord, I have the boobs of a 22 year old! Feels great to wear a bra again! Life is good....

Does anyone have dandruff?  My hair isn't covering my head completely yet but I think I have it.  It's never been something I've had before.

Since my hair is growing in with that male pattern baldness, does anyone have a suggestion how I should have the sides and back trimmed to match the crown when the hair finally covers my head?  I'm so worried someone will take too much off but there's got to be a way of making it even eventually.  I guess I could try to cut my own or have a friend do it but I prefer a professional so my hair looks good.  It might be coming in curly but I'm not sure yet.

Ok I'm 2 weeks PFC and there's this fuzzy clear halo all over my head. I look like a baby turkey.  Will it grow up to be real hair one day or is it just chemo mutant hair that I should just shave off and start fresh?baby turkey head" mce_src="baby turkey head" alt="baby turkey" border="" hspace="" vspace="" width="240" height="169" align="" />

Bikenyc, that is the same question I have!  I'm 5 into my 6 taxotere treatments, (last one next Tuesday...my INDEPENDENCE DAY this year is July 5!), and my hair looks about like yours, except it appears your growth is thicker than mine is...  My DH thinks I should do one last "shave" to even it up, but I don't want to do that unless I need to "start fresh."  Any advice for us, ladies?  Thank you!

bikenyc I hate to say this but I swear my face now has hair like your head Tongue out (looks better on you)

My lashes and eyebrows continue to thin again. Not sure if this is chemo (hairs not out of sequence  yet) related or Anastrozole. I fear the later.

Bikenyc, your hair growth looks like mine did when it started.  I had a couple of people suggest I shave it off as it's "chemo hair" but I figure, I'll take any hair I can get so have let it grow.  Maybe that's why it's coming in uneven, but I don't care.....after all, it's HAIR!!

Kaseymomto2boys:  Have you thought of Miracle Grow yet?  I have, I'm really tempted.  If it's good for plants, what about our heads??  You first though.  lol

Kasey - oh my gosh look at your eyes!!  I know, I know we are supposed to be looking at your hair, lol.  I am like you, my hair is getting thicker and thicker but so fast on the length yet.  It's getting there though.

Bikenyc - I had a lot of people suggesting I shave it when I had the white fuzz but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.  As it got longer and filled in more, I would snip the fluffy ends off and that seemed to make it darken up and fill in better.  You'd be surprised how fast it changes over from that white turkey fluff.

Thank you all for sharing pictures. It gives such hope. I am 6.5 weeks post chemo and now checking my head every day hoping that the peach fuzz is going to soon look like hair!

I am 7 weeks PFC today... I have hair almost everywhere... temples are still a bit sparse... every week, I am getting more and more hair... although it is a weird color. The sideburns are white or platinum... the top is silver... the back is blond (I think)... very hard to tell. I am a natural blond, so its hard to tell whether it is blond, white or gray (or all).

Question... Hi all, I start TCH treatment on July 11th. I'm being treated at Northwestern Univ in chicago. Anyway, a few weeks ago my ps office were giving out Latisse for free to any chemo patients and said that every pt that has used it during chemo has completely kept their lashes and brows during and after chemo. Is anyone else using Latisse? I started it a few weeks ago and am hopeful :)

mammaof4 I haven't heard that but it might be worth a try. I didn't lose all my lashes till after chemo but no one really noticed because I wear eyeline. BTW have you checked out the Illinios Ladies thread? I too live in Chicago… about 2-3 miles from Northwestern Univ.

I did not use Latisse as it can change your eye color, but I have been using a Bryan Joseph product which claims the same thing... I have used it daily and did lose my brows regardless... But I still have my lashes 7 weeks post chemo, although recently they have thinned. I am not sure it really works as well as they say.

By the way, here are my 7 weeks PFC photos (I hope)

well, I'm about ready to go topless.  One more day, tomorrow, of wearing the wig at work and then that's it!!!  I'm already 6+ months PFC so its time, although I feel I have *just* enough hair.  My sides are growing faster than the top though, so I have the bozo the clown look.  I go Friday for a "haircut" and then am off to my sisters wedding in Florida!

13 weeks growth!  There is hope.  I did not cut off the weird chemo hair that I cut at first.  Just left alone and crossed my fingers.
