Oh Blue:
I loved your list, wish I were still working in an office - I'd have a ball (and probably get fired too!)

Athena, I hear you and I agree. lets just not even get started on rove and his type.
But I am working really hard on not letting these types of people get me too wound up ---for my sake as much as for theirs. I don't think its good for me and I think it likely that years and years of stress and not letting go of what I can't control is part (part only part mind you) of what led me to eligability in our little group. Whatever I can do to get myself to let go and destress, I will do.
I don't question that they are responsible for their acts but I pity anyone with such anger and venom within them. We have so much cr@p in our lives---why some people seem to want more of it, want to make fights and be mean, well its rather pathetic. People are starving, people are dying ---on this board even--and yet some people still find time for the nastigrams.
Happy weekend to all and still more (((hugs))) to Libby and Blue---I'd chat more but my youngest monster is at the other end of a phone line in a huff because I'm not home yet........

Like I said save the drama for your llama
-
We always have such interesting conversations. 3monst: I would love to know what those monsters look like. Rosemary, I bet you are a wonderful granny.
-
Athena
I try. They are my reward for not killing my children and my joy.
-
((((libby)))))) Sorry to hear about the DX.
Off topic - what happened to that thread that I put on ignore yesterday?? Seems like quite a bit happened between last night and this evening - I was gone all day long.
-
Just more of the typical Friday "why are you all so mean" stuff. Nothing of substance.
-
LOL,enjoyful. You are nothing if not succinct!
-
WE engaged the Borg and found out who the Ferengi are!
-
Who are they? Tell me!
-
You know I can't do that. You snooze, you lose. It was all there for all to read.
-
Ok girls - start salivating - dinner tonight is roast leg of lamb with roasted red sweet potatoes, pumpkin and beans with a rosemary gravy. I cut little slits in the lamb and insert fresh rosemary from the garden, then paint the meat with garlic olive oil, so the oil gets in the slits. Desert will be individual blackberry and apple pies with that lovely thick cream.
I'm so disappointed that thread has disappeared, it was quite entertaining

Well, I was just told that "there was no place for me" on the Alternative/Holistic thread since I have done chemo. I am interested in alternative also...
Hope I can hang out with you food people.
-
Pull up a chair Ang!
-
No dinner for me tonight! Stupid intestinal bug is kicking my butt...literally.
Welcome, Ang!
-
Hope you start feeling better E. Change in climate maybe?
-
Susieq -- You just described one of my very favourite meat dishes -- lamb with rosemary and garlic, the aroma while roasting is something else!!! Enjoy, enjoy!
Ang -- "There's no place for you here if" 1: you don't have a sense of humour, and 2: you don't like to eat! Since I'm sure neither of those apply, we welcome you with open arms!
-
Sorry to hear that E.
Blue, very well said. I was happy to see our resident vulture exposed, if only for a few minutes.
Here's a cushion, Ang.
-
Susie you can cook for me anytime!
-
Nah, Blue, some sort of virus. My daughter had it first and had a high temp on the plane home. I came down with it yesterday. Ah well, this too shall pass...and pass...and pass....hahahahaha
Ang - an occasional sprinkling of additional U's throughout your posts will earn you favoUr with our northern friends. :-)
-
Oops, posting at the same time. E, where do you think you picked up the bug? One thing about tap water in other countries: while it's considered quite safe, it does have different particulates that our body doesn't recognize, and often the problem follows us home and stays with us for a few days. Could that be it? I feel for you.
-
Very possible. We did spend a week on a boat and God knows what was swimming around in the on-board holding tanks.
-
Sue....I agree I thought the other thread was quite entertaining, too!
Ang....I just started hanging around this "gang of ladies" this past week. They are a lot of fun! Ladies, thanks again for letting me join in.
I also have to say, the dinners you all make sound like 5 star gourmet meals. I'm all about easy, so dinners at my house are usually very basic and simple. I leave the more complacated meals to my hubby on the weekends.
-
Athena, "vultures". Three were exposed today.
Linda, that's what I was thinking.
-
It is so nice to hang with normal people. Just sayin'.
-
Just did some googling and our symptoms aren't quite in synch with "Montezuma's Revenge." The aches and fever started first, with the other stuff following 24-48 hours later.
SORRY...I should not bring this stuff up during dinner conversation!
-
Rosemary Gravy - I want the recipe!!! I love Lamb with fresh rosemary - in fact I planted some rosemary a few weeks ago.
-
Thanks all~
Some of those other threads are too hostile...
-
Welcome Ang. - I'm the one that was threatened last week because I had brussels sprouts for dinner (yikes).
E - could you and your dd possibly have food poisoning - I've had it twice in my life and it lasted for days and yes you do get a high fever at the beginning. Are you on the BRAT diet - I hate it because it's so boring but it really works - hope you both feel better soon.
Sue - I love lamb - can we have the rosemary gravy recipe????
-
E - Hope you feel better soon
