Hi badger... thanks for caring... tonight we ventured to Jade's school and surrounding area... and OMG... that area is absolutely disaster zone... so, so sad. Seeing pictures, hearing the sirens does not hit, until you see it with your own eyes; Jade's Field Hockey Coach's house, is a pretty damaged; his two cars are still in the driveway with a big a$$ tree on top of them; a young couple that just bought a house in the same street... you would not even recognize it; and the streets I drive on every day? Gone... all I wanted to do was cry.
I hate natural disasters... I would love to have the power of making these disappear forever.

I walked the RFC 5K yesterday in Madison with 12,000 participants and 900 survivors.
I hate that Komen apparently beats up on other organizations that have charity events "for the cure" ... but I love participating in an event to celebrate survivors that raised 900,000 of which 675,000 (75%) will stay local.
-
badger - awesome! (and I agree about Komen.)
I hate pinkwashing campaigns, but I love that humanity is basically and good and kind (ie, people do care about cancer, finding a cure, and patients/survivors/thrivers!)
-

Canine CSI: Apartments use DNA tests on dog doo to ensure owners clean up pet messes

A dinner date... yahoo!!! And everything will be fine tweetybird... as usual, not in the worst position nor do I have a choice.
