    Linda thanks for sharing the video link on massage. It was very helpful - I was only shown to compress in with the palm of my hand on the upper pole. I'm 5 weeks post exchange. I wonder if my PS was also trying to encourage settling.  I'm really curious now to see what he says and how long he recommends doing it.  I'm going to wear my rub on tattooed nipples and see what kind of reaction I get on my next visit.

    pegs- so sorry about the crap you are going through...it can seem never ending but one day it will be done and you won't even remember all of this )(**. Big hug sistah...

    MeJoy- so exciting and cannot wait to hear how you are doing and (SEE)....geez, who would have ever thought I would say that on a regular basis to other women?????

    As for the fake nips I have some HUGE ones I bought on ebay- i only played around with them but they were fun-i have some pics of em on the other site...funny thing is they helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel....

    Just got my exchange two days ago.  I am not happy, they're flat and no cleavage!  I posted this on another thread and they told me to come here.  So I have been told that they will fluff and drop in time.  Also hearing that I should massage.  When is it safe for me to start massaging?  I sound so desperate in this message, sorry, just was hoping for a different result after going through all of this!

    okeefe - you're only 2 days out!  most of us were depressed after our exchange.  It can take up to six months for your pec muscle to relax and the implants to 'fluff' out.  I would not be concerned at all at this point.  DO NOT massage until your PS gives you the OK to do so.  You have trauma in there and you don't want to cause internal bleeding ... you need to take it easy and let everything heal.  [[hugs]]

    It's so crazy how the PS are all different! I am 8 days post op from exchange, my PS said to wait 2 weeks to allow saline implants to naturally settle, then to massage them, but only pushing them toward center of chest, to avoid them moving outward! He also said it would take 6 weeks to see results from settling. I seem to still be quite sore, at night. I'm guessing I'm probably pushing myself during the day....able to swim and go for walks tho.

    Peg,  I am sorry to hear that have had so many problems.  Sending you prayers and good wishes.  

    That radiation can really mess up our muscle and skin and make reconstruction more complicated.

    Joan888 - Glad to hear you got a good report.  What kind of sports bra does he recommend?  One with underwire or without?  Hope the concert was wonderful and you didn't get too chilled enjoying it!

    Those temporary nipple tattoos look good.  Worth a try just to get enthusiastic about getting to that stage in reconstruction.  I am feeling tired of it all....but I wanted to get nipples by the end of the year. Maybe these will spur me on to keep going.

    Ladies, do you think I will be able to be a C cup?   I am currently filled to 500 of my 550 expanders.   Am a B right now, but I know I will lose size during the exchange.   No problems so far.   He should be able to "over expand" me, right?   Or put in a 650 implant? 

    He is on vac, so I won't see him for a few days to ask him....

    Fearless - check out all the chat on the Implant Sizing 101 thread.  Whippetmom can tell you anything and I mean anything you want to know about sizing.  A 550 implant produces a different cup size on every single person.  I do have 550 TEs overfilled to 650.

    Fearless - I'm small framed and got 650's from 550TE's..and I'm a very very full C.  The incision kept separating because they were too big so be gentle if you are 'over expanded'.  I had asked for a B cup :(  They are right for my 'body', I just was over the big boob phase of my life.

    See and I am small framed too....got 475 in my right and I am in a D or DD depending on the bra manufacturer...I asked for a Full B/Small C.  So I guess its true that you cant really ask for cup size! LOL. Im not complaining though.  I dont think I look like a D or DD at all!!!

    pinkbutterfly:  When I was fully expanded no bra worked!  They are just too hard and unmoving unlike the implants.  I did purchase a bra in the size I wanted to be and it does still fit I just couldn't wear it after the last 3 fills.

    And I was overfilled by nealy 100ccs so I do not fit in the bra I wore the day before surgery.  Now almost 2 weeks out I feel like my right side is shrinking but am being patient...waiting for the famous drop and fluff.

    I, too, purchased several bras in the size I wanted to be, thinking it was cut-and-dried before reading this thread ("just make me a C"). I love how they look on me now, but they are molded, so I know I am not filling them out. I guess I will hope for the best, that I will still be able to wear them. As if that's my biggest problem now!

    So, back to nipples, I opted for the stick-on silicone nipples after my google search...something to go with that new lingerie...I never would have imagined that one day I'd be googling "stick-on nipples."

    Oh, the things you miss when they're gone!

    Oh thank heavens.  I asked for a C and got a D....at least today with the swelling....but the right one is sad next to my torpedo!!!  LOL thanks MBJ for that pep talk!
