Hi all,  I finished treatment last June, I had MX  Rad, and chemo. Glad I am done but my chest ribs and upper arm  are still really stiff and  sore. I do the exercises everyday but it doesn't get any better. Anybody else have the same problems and what did you do about it? Oh and one more funny thing is when I drink something cold I can feel it under my arm.  SharonH

I have the same issues.  I am almost a year out of surgery (August 23rd).  When I take a cold drink I can feel it where my chest used to be though, not the armpit.  The surgery side is looking "Harder" lately. I have had some stiffness and have gone back to the stretching exercises and forcing myself to stretch until it hurts.  It helps  I suppose we will always have to do this.  I still do not have 100% movement like before.  Such as I cannot really pull shirts up over my head when trying on clothes at the store).  It hurts. Congratulations on your almost two year anniversary!

Congrats on being a year out, my BMX was in Jan. so I have no input to give but mine is that way too so I hope it gets better.  That's weird about the cold drink, sounds like a nerve thing.

I think the cold drink thing is because we've lost a layer of fat, lol. I had it too, but after a while I stopped noticing it, either because it went away or I got used to it (one of our "new normal" things). Maybe it was the DIEP recon I had last year...added the fat back.

Three years out from my surgery now and while I still have a little difficulty pulling things over my head, I'm much better. I'm trying to stay limber, but age, more than the bc, is taking it's toll now. I've been getting lots of exercise moving my household over the last two months (still a ways to go. Hopefully, it will be done by the end of this month). But the lifting and packing and shoving has me sore all over, so lately it's been hard to disntinguish that from my AI-induced side effects.

Life...I'm living it as I would have before bc as much as I can.
