Thinking Out Loud.....

I am posting as we travel and we should arrive at our front door in about 45 minutes. It has been a long day! Actually a long 5 days.
-
Skip through this post if you get bored, I am writing out of sheer nervous energy.
I awoke on Wednesday morning at 4 am, couldn't sleep out of excitement of becoming a grandma and the stress of DIL being so seriously ill from pre-eclampsia and near kidney failure. I went to work for a 9-hour day and headed home, a total of 10 hours. We then got back in the car and began our trek across state lines visit the little family. I slept 1 1/2 hours and was awake again to take over driving duties. We pulled into Denney's at 4:30 to await the opening of the hopital at 5:30.
After spending the day at the hospital DH and I were exhausted and headed back to the kids' house for the night and DS stayed with DIL and baby at the hospital. We got to the house and DH went up on the roof because there was a lot of smoke from the wildfire. He came in and told me we wouldn't be sleeping. About then DS called and told us they were to evacuate the house. But we had some time, so we started documenting what was in the house with pictures, and pulling some of the important things to take. DILs parents came over and assisted, DS came home and went to get a horse trailer. After packing 5 vehicles and loading 2 horses and two large dogs who went with other friends, we delivered two small dogs and a parrot to another friend. DH and I drove 1 1/2 hours north to my brothers house for the night. 43 hours of being awake, still in the clothes from Wednesday morning.
Slept 6 hours to be awakened with the news DIL was being discharged at 9 am. and we could return to the house. Headed back to put the house back together somewhat. DIL went to her parents hotel for breakfast where she became very ill again. stayed at hotel til 3:30. I had scrubbed red dust from as much of the flat surfaces as possible. And finished painting the nursery for baby to arrive home to. All went okay Saturday although DIL wasn't doing great and I had to care for baby while the men had errands to run. Oh, darn!
Last night we went back on high alert, but everythign was stable when we left this morning. Then at 2:00 they were ordered to evacuate and the future looks bleak. We are praying for a miracle that their home will be spared. We are ending our 11 hour drive in about 30 minutes.
Can I say I am tired?

Good Night♥

Hope you were able to get some sleep, Meece. Hope the fire stayed away, the winds have died down, and they are back to knocking it down - once and for all. ((((((((Meece)))))))
((((((((Everyone)))))))))
Kids taking finals right now. One more for one kid tomorrow and they're done (hopefully not in more way than one) I'm not sure how well they studied. Then they play for graduation on Wednesday and then I get a break from screaming about homework for a while. On to screaming about doing SAT prep instead. And cleaning their rooms. If DS wants that somewhat juvenile wallpaper taken down, I need access to the walls. Of course, he'd rather keep the wallpaper than clean up his mess. sigh.
-
Don't know anything new right now. There were more structures involved, but they don't know how many.

Yes Chris. Im so pissed off. And this is why..........
Just back *&*%&*#@&
My oncologist hired a new nurse and I dont like her.
First she tried to get blood from me 7 times yes you didnt read it wrong. She didnt know what the &%#& she was doing after almost half an hour she was unable to take blood.
She asked me to sit there and wait for my chemo??????????? I said I dont get chemo then she made me sit in the examining room. I said DR examines my breasts she is not sure she leaves the room never came back.
Now the Dr comes he has to try to draw blood because the stupid didnt know how.....
He was able after 2 tries. I've been asked numerous time if I was OK . She tried my hand also.
Thank You for reading.

Well my MH is slightly getting better.

Now I wait for the result of my Blood Work.
-
Aw man - sorry you were a human pin cushion today. Hope you aren't too bruised tomorrow.
Scary she had no idea why you were there.
Do these people ever look at the patients' charts? Do these people write anything in patient charts?!! I really wonder. They don't ever seem to know anything about me when I go to the doctor - it's like I've never been there before.
Glad your MH is getting better. ♥♥♥
-
YAY!!! on the MH!! Poopoo to the new nurse!
Hope you are all doing well. Cleaned out my AUnts house today. Lots of work.
-
I am so glad there hasn't been any problems getting blood out of me, I would pass out if I had to be stuck that many times. (((((((((((Sheila))))))))
