Me too Sheila.
-
I'm freezing!!!
-
Me too.
-
lol, just put some socks on to warm up my feet! Where's summer! I figured it would be crazy hot and humid since I had to order a new and improved AC unit for the main floor of the house. I'm guessing it will be here and installed.........late September??
-
I'M READY
-
It was sunny and 82 in Bermuda.
-
Sounds perfect!! My sister has a house in the Bahamas and I am soooo jealous. They go there most weekends and many times for weeks at a time.
-
I got a jury duty summons for the Federal Courthouse in Boston. I already served at the state level this year. It is from Aug 22 to Sept 9. WTF? I am away on vaca for a week and a half of that time. I'll probably be on the Whitey Bulger trial. HELP!!!
-
Is vacation considered an exemption?
-
who is whitey bulger....
no news on the car, the deal is they still won't do anything she has ignored there calls, they said they need to talk to her before the fix my car...how can people do that and the insurance just go with it.....I have a feeling it is done, need to get a lawyer I guess or file a civil suit.....the cop didn't give her a citation......i borrow cars that is how i deal with it, I can't believe it, oh i said that....they sent her a certified letter, doesn't matter they are ignoring everything, they want to talk to their driver and insured , she still hasn't reported the accident to the insurance company.....i want to get the newspaper to do something. thanks for asking..
went and picked up the script for the xeloda the dr. forgot one for naseua (sp) taking 4000 mg a day.....here we go, 4 pills at a time, biggest se is diahh. if you know what I mean.....
how is everybody else?
-
No vacation exemptions, No exemptions for mental health either ( called my DR. to get her to write me a note and she said it works at the state level, not the federal) Major anxiety attacks over this! Besides vaca, I have a wedding (my nephew) in Burlington Vt. on Sept 4th. It;s about a 6 hour drive from here. I've got to figure something out!
Whitey Bulger is a HUGE mobster from Boston who was just found in CA after 16 years on the run. He was #2 on the FBIs most wanted list, only second to Osama Bin Laden. It's all over the news.
Sandy, my aunt was on Xeloda and she had that horribe side effect. Be prepared, buy some deoends etc so you are ready. So sorry you have to do this. Sorry about the car too. If you can get a lawyer, get one!
-
Sandy, can't you get your insurance company to go after her insurance company and fix your car in the meantime?
Imodium is a Godsend for the diahh - I've read you can take more than the dose on the box if you need it. Not sure how much you can take though.
Linda- if you tell them you already served, maybe they will exempt you. Once your serve - don't they not ask again for at least 2 years?
-
Thats at the state level. I already checked into it. The state and federal courts are completely seperate. Once I serve 5 consecutive days in the federal court, I am exepmt for 2 years.
-
Good Sunny Morning!
-
DH and I are still on the go. We returned from AZ Sunday evening and Wednesday evening we headed to Vegas for a wedding but I had to be back to work yesterday morning so we drove through the night after the wedding and got home at 4:45 am. I left for work at 7:00 and by 7 pm last night I was out for the count. DH and I, being gluttons for punishment, are heading back to AZ Friday night for the 4th of July Weekend.

-
Linda, I don't think they can call you back for 3 years.
I would just submit the form saying you had already served.
Bulger won't go to trial for at least a year from now.
-
They can't at the state level. The federal level they can. I have it all in black and white. I will figure something out.
(((Meece))) Awesome picture!
No sun here, please send some!
-
Sun is trying to come out here.
-
Meece...You are a very handsome couple

I walked. I shopped. I ate. Watched a scary movie on lifetime.
I bought healthy junk food.
It was very humid but now it's so pleasant I wish I had someone with me to take another walk.
OOH I also bought #30 suntan lotion.

and if they call me to jury duty Im not cancelling my vacation.
-
I will walk with you Sheila, even though it is thundering and lightening out! I don't plan on cancelling mine. I figure if they wont let me out of it, I wont go. Then they will arrest me and I will have a record and I can't go to jury duty! Problem solved!
-
They have no proof that you received the notice, right? Maybe you should buy some drugs and get n trouble?
-
Youa re thinking like I am, RCG!! LOL!!
Good night my friends! XOXO
-
Linda....hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
arresting you LOL LOL
Hi Diane

i was trying to post some of my gr. tree pictures. I dont know what Im doing wrong it's not working and I'm all hot from aggrevition %*&*
-
Sheila - I don't think the issue is aggravation

Linda - I'm pretty sure you can find a way to get in trouble.
When is summer?
-
If you get to the jury selection part, if you can think of anything that would bias your decision, let them know about it. If they don't ask that type of question, you may need to get the bailiff to get a message to the judge.
Say you have a relative who is a peace officer who might have had contact with the mob, or a family member has had dealings with gambling or such, you let them know. Be prepared to be honest though, they can check out your story.
-
I clicked so many things during this picture crisis. I'm surprised the computer still working.
Now I need some Gold Fish. Tomorrow is another day.
My hospital gives a nice luncheon every June for C survivors. Tomorrow is the day. Its a happy occasion plenty of food and wine is served.
I'm looking forward to it.
Good Night
♥
-
That sounds nice, Sheila. I saw a car the other day with a big GF on each side. I thought of you!
-
Meece - I just want to say - you look absolutely stunning along with your handsome husband. You can't possibly be old enough to be a grandmother

-
Aw...you flatter me. I will take the title grandma because I love the little guy who will be calling me that. I just won't let myself look like a granny although at some point the gray hairs will be the predominant color of my hair. Can't keep up with pulling them anymore.
