170 this morning.  I am re-motivated now that my triglycerides came back pretty high.  Trying to back off all sweets and increase my fiber.  Still going to exercise regularly.  DH and I have picked up our dancing frequency, so that should help, too.

Ok, so I finally got on the scale, and yep, 160 again.  Something has got to give and it's not going to be the zippers on my pants, lol.

Navy..my triglycerides were very high also!  ..Not sure if it helped but I take milk thistle and flaxseed oil....Not sure if that was what did it...yes..I have changed my diet but I do think the vitamins may have helped....I was well over 200..now down to less than 100.

Tryglicerides are fat attached to your blood vessels..right?  I didn't have high cholesterol..just high tryglicerides...and I was very thin at the time..just saying.

To all of you guys that are having success getting your weight off, how are you doing it?  Before my treatments I could drop weight pretty quick by just cutting back on the junk, but that is not working this time.  I am really getting frustrated,

    Heidi-LOL

Well, I have been making better food choices and I have exercised 6 out of the last 7 days.....so hopefully the scale will show something for all my hard work!.  I also went to a spinning class yesterday.  I have not been to this class since just before BC.  (2 yrs ago).  It felt good!  Some normalcy creeping back in.  Have a great sunday everyone.

Took hubby to breakfast at the Moose Lodge.  Going to an Optimist Club memorial service followed by a picnic.  Guess the start of my diet will have to wait 1 more day.

You'll be happy to know I ate a piece of cake for every one of you!  burp!  Thanks MJB, the actual day is next Saturday and I hope to be at the beach.  Party was Friday and I brought the cake home with me, hence the additional pieces.  Yummmmm.

I always lost weight eating lo-fat and then it quit working.  Now my body responds to lo-sugar.  GG, try that (after the Moose Lodge breakfast and picnic)!

Heidi-where do the frogs go when you fish them out?  To the grill, ??hahaha

Seriously, those frogs *were* big enough to be used for a frog legs dinner. Me? I just blew 'em a kiss and sent them on their way. Actually, I get a kick out of mesmerizing them first (flip them on their backs and rub their heads) so they just go into a torpor.... too funny. You can then set them upside down and tickle their feet. Try it some time!

No weight loss but I am walking 35-40 minutes every week day morning so at least I'm doing something positive.

I have been bad..all this talk of frog legs and cake has been making me hungry...

Sometimes..I just get sooo hungry..and so I indulge...

Really..weight loss and eating healthy is good for us...but dang it...but a nice plate of spaghetti and a good beef roast is worth it too..

I keep reminding myself that in the studies on weight & excercise-what we weigh isn't the most imprtant thing, though we of course all want to look fabulous--what's important is the food we eat and the excercise we do and I doubt that the occasional treat or large celebratory meal is going to do us in, but a life of bon bons, THAT could be really bad.

Broken record~ if you're hungry, drink some fiber like metamucil Orange. Hunger gone.  Its just getting past those stress moments when we have to make a decision....I have decided to not have any more birthday cake until Saturday, my actual b'day :):)  LOL

tnbcRuth:  To tell you the truth, I don't eat that much and I don't eat that high calorie, if I eat less I stay the same, if I eat high suger/fat I gain weight.  The thought of drinking metamucil sounds so awful to me (I have tried it many years ago) so I try and drink lots of water instead to fill me up.  Lots of soup, too.  I AM glad this is working for you, though.  I get very bloated from metamucil, too.
