Hi ladies I had my first Taxol treatment and it was not good I had very bad muscle and bone pain.  I am doing a little better but have my next treatment on Thursday.  Praying that it won't be as bad.  God has kept me through this so far and he will see me through the rest.  Only 3 more to go.

Yes, Lynniea, He will see you through.  You are on the down hill side of chemo.  You can start counting down.

Matt has heard from the MEB (Medical Evaluation Board) and has recieved a 40% disability although they did not include his strokes or migraines.  This is good news although we are not sure they will cover any medical issues arising from these conditions.  They are offering to medically retire him for 5 years, and will re-evaluate him then possibly to reactivate his enlistment.

We would like prayer for wise decision making as he must give his decision (to accept the offer or to fight for it to cover more) in one week.

If this goes through he will be back home in as early as 2 months.

Dear Lord, please guide Matt in his decision process at this time. Give him peace in his decision as well. In Jesus' name. Amen

Barbe, you are so right, they do look so much alike.  I got to keep him all day today and it was so wonderful.

You guys, other than my sister will be the only ones who will understand this story.  My DH will soon be working from home-telework.  We have gone through all the rooms of the house to get rid of lots of stuff we don't need anymore and just re-organizing.  I found a neck roll pillow I bought for my mom while she was in the hospital the last time (14 years ago) and she died on it.  I did not want to get rid of it, but couldn't bring myself to use it anywhere.  Today, while I was sitting in my Mawmaw chair giving a bottle to Jacob, my arm got really tired.  I asked my DH to get mom's pillow.  I put it behind my arm to rest on and completely broke down and cried.  I couldn't stop crying.  I haven't cried in a long time and wondered if I would ever be able to.  It opened up today.  I guess the best way to describe my feelings were "bittersweet."  I still miss my mom so much, she was such a prayer warrior.  She prayed me in and had a mantle of prayer over her.  She was my best friend.  I thought so much about how much she would have loved to see Jacob.  The pillow held her head when she left this world and today her pillow supported a new generation.

Meece, praying for Matt and his decision.  God has it in control.

Thank you Fairthroad.  She was.  She prayed all of her children in and prayed for all of her grandchildren.  She was also a bc survivor, but it ultimately took her life.

I'm sorry you lost her due to BC.  But, I am glad to hear she is with our wonderful Lord.

I'm the first with BC in my family.  And I'm praying my mom into God's kingdom.

Ladies, as we are in the midst of Memorial Day weekend, I think it is especially important that we pray for all of our different countries service people wherever they may currently be stationed.  And so that means Matt also.

Saw this video today & immediately wanted to copy the link for my Garden Girls.   http://www.godvine.com/Two-Girls-Beautifully-Cover-Hosanna-by-Hillsong-458.html

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Mary, your story about your mom's pillow brought tears to my eyes.  And faithroad's comment, "And I'm praying my mom into God's kingdom." started the tears up again.

Sang a song in church today that brought Lisa (PauldingMom) to my mind & cried there too.  Guess I'm a wreck right now.  Don't know why exactly.

I was thinking of Lisa today as well.  Three weeks, and yet an eternity.

Did you see on FB that Tina had a birthday yesterday?  Poor thing, she said it was very hard.

Yes, 3 weeks that have seemed like forever.  The song today was the one that has the lyrics, "OH, I'm running to your arms, I'm running to your arms.  The riches of your love will always be enough,  nothing compares to your embrace, Light of the world forever reigns."  It's called "Forever Reign"  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J168nhvwnGI

    just audio, no video

Yes, I saw that.  There is someone on the threads that has a faraway pic as her avatar.  It reminds me of Lisa.

I went out to putter in my greenhouse today and noticed my Peruvian Daffodil has begun to bloom.  Yes Barbe, I did thump it's little bottom again this year (Rember this plant last year?).  I have the first of several buds blooming.

    Golly-gee-whiz!

    Really?

A whole year, since the thumping?

    How is that even possible??

A lot of prayers have been said here in that year.

A lot of hymns have been shared.

We've said good-by to Lisa in the year.........

    Time marches on gardners.

    Time marches on.

I'm laughing at your sense of humor Barb!

Hey, I'm curious about this "thumping".  Is it good for all plants?
