Asking for prayers from my sisters. My DH and I got a bad "cold" 6 weeks ago, which has turned into a real nasty case of bronchitis. We need to get well. We are on meds and antibiotics, but it doesn't want to seem to let go of us. Small thing, but we apprecaite it.
-
There is no small thing. Mary, I will lifting you two in prayer for healing.
-
(((Mary))) Prayers out to Elizabeth from other threads. One of my oldest family friends, she is also my seamstress has her Husband in hospital with liver cancer. It does not look good for him.((more prayers for Monique and John)))
-
Oh my goodness, so much sadness! I pray for all those in emotional pain as well as their loved ones.
-
Prayers for those mentioned above and for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the tornadoes across the country.
-
It breaks my heart to see homes destroyed...so simply very sad!!! Lives ripped apart, memories trashed in such a vulgar way...exposed like a raped murder victim.
-
Been out of town for a while, but checked in once in a while. Praying for all. Thursday is my last Herceptin! Thought I would share a picture from our few days of camping. Beautiful sunset near the Tennessee River in Chattanooga.

-
Grace-unbelieveable!
-
Grace, soooo beautiful. What a wonderful "mental health moment."
-
Absolutely breathtaking, Grace. One more display of how much God loves us and wants to share such beautiful scenes with us.
-
Praying for all. God reminds us of His Love with beautiful scenes - like Grace's sunset! He knows all, He cares, and He is Able to work ALL things together for good for those who love Him.
-
That sunset is so beautiful it makes my heart ache....God is a great artist!!!
Meece, anxiously awaiting news of little boo. Someone on another thread just got a GD at 9 pds 11 oz! Induced.
-
There was a miscommunication and they will not do the US until next Wednesday. Unless it becomes lifethreatening, they will not induce until the 22nd, four more weeks. I remember the days of carrying a big baby and how uncomfortable I was. I hope Baby Boo's mama handles it well.
When I was carrying Boo's daddy, who was due Sept 17th, I was told on August 21st not to leave town because the baby could come any time (90% effaced). He held on until October 7th. So easy for me to tell Boo's mama to have patience now since I am not the one carrying the baby.
-
Holy cow! They let you go from a due date of Sept 17th to October 7th??? That's 3 weeks!! That's cruel, but did he come naturally or was he finally induced?
-
He came naturally but he got stuck so they had to use forceps. Surprisingly he was only 9 lbs.
-
Was he your first?
My first had forceps too. My second one came out so fast that the nurse caught her as she shot off the end of the table!! We both would have died if the nurse didn't happen to be there. Still gives me shivers!!!!
-
Yes he was my first. My second came early, my third a week late, and my last on his due date.
-
Such a good boy to come on your due date!!!
-
Well, last herceptin done!! We took cupcakes Christa made. All the nurses loved my hair and the cupcakes!! My husband and Christa gave me the sweetest card and a pink little glass birdie. Then we went to Olive Garden for lunch! A wonderful day!
Meece-ONLY 9 pounds!!!! Will be praying.
2hands-I love your avatar!!
Barbe-I almost cried when I saw the sunset. Hated for it to go away!! -
I think things like that sunset are God's way of telling us to slow down, and appreciate what is around us. It is all too fleeting!
-
Meece- I think so too! We were at a Bible Conference in Chattanooga and the weather and campground were so beautiful that we stayed and just rested in the Lord for a couple of days! Very healing! I got up in the morning early with my coffee and Bible and sat in my new 0 gravity chair by the lake! It is so wonderful all of the natural beauty that the Lord has given for us to enjoy for FREE!!!!! You can tell He created us to "be still and know that I am God"!!!!

-
Grace, is that the same cardinal that you had a pic of in the snow? BEAUTIFUL!!! Breathtaking...
-
Be Still And Know
Psalm 46:10 / Zec. 2:13Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is holy
Be still oh restless soul of mine
Bow before the prince of Peace
Let the noise and clamor cease
Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is faithful
Consider all that He has done
Stand in awe and be amazed
And know that He will never change
Be still
Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know that He is God
Be still
Be speechless
Be still and know that He is God
Be still and know He is our Father
Come rest your head upon His breast
Listen to the rhythm of
His unfailing heart of love
Beating for His little ones
Calling each of us to come
Be still
Be still -
I meant to mention, I love your new avatar, Grace! Your hair is great!
-
That's beautiful Meece!! I love it!!
-
Barbe - it sure is! I'm trying to mark my time in the States with the 4 seasons - something I have missed living on islands the last 13 years!!! Isn't it beautiful?????
Thank you for the song, Meece! Thank you about the hair!! Can you believe how curly it is???? So hard to believe that I used to have stick straight hair!
Ok ladies! Herceptin is done, as I mentioned! Here are the pics!!!

My Best Friend and I!!

Unhooking me one last time!!

My DD and I!! She is the best!!

My American nurses!
-
What a wonderful set of memories!
My hair came back in very curly. I too, had stick straight hair before chemo. Now that I am years out, it is stick straight again and very thin. Oh, well, it was a nice reward for enduring chemo, even if it was for just awhile.
-
Congrats, Grace. I'm so very happy for you to be done. Hair is gorgeous. I have a beautiful picture in my house with that very verse on it. It is to remind me to stop and remember who is in control---not me
-
Talk about beautiful pictures, Mary.... Love your little avatar!
