I Come to the Garden...

3jays - I'm praying for your sister too!! Sounds scary and it's so hard when you can't be there with your loved one. But, God is there, healing, comforting, giving the doctors wisdom.
And He calms our hearts during the storms.

I'm off to exercise. I was told today that my motabolism is too low and the only way to raise it is to burn 300-400 calories a day in intensive cardio. Awesome. Just what I wanted to hear. I'm going to become good friends with my eliptical machine. This is suppose to help give me more energy too...hmmm..?
(I'm trying to loose wieght before having my implants taken out.)
Have a good day everyone and thank you soooo much for praying for my friend Karen's dad. I know she is grateful to you. As am I.
-
thanks ladies, i don't get to go to my church much, so i reach out here, when i need to. being so far away is tough, and my familys' not the best communicators.. sent a text asking for an update today, i'll let you know...
i'm so glad God is so BIG and so GOOD!! 3jays
-
3jays, you know that God always does the right thing, as tough as it is....
-
I've been away from the garden for far too long.
I hope that this post will bring you comfort & support.
These are a few pictures from my latest blog post.
They are of the Cathedral in Milan.
We were there on Easter Sunday late in the afternoon.
I have just read on the web, that this is considered to be the second largest Catholic Cathedral in the world and comfortably seats 40,000.
This is certainly one of my favorite pictures of the entire trip:
I was able to light a candle and say a prayer for everyone here at BCO.
Seeing the parade of candles going on & on was so moving.
The prayers of so many, lit with hope.
I carried all of you in my heart on this pilgrimage & this was a fitting way to spend our final day in Italy. I will remember the hushed reverance surrounding those candles for the rest of my life.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

Thank you again Faith-love the photos!
-
Jo-5 - I like that line about sometimes he calms the storm and sometimes he calms me!!!! ( I've taught that in children's Sunday School class.) Yes! Such comfort both ways!!!
FaithandFifty - Wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing those! Italy, ahhhh *sigh* what a lovely vacation. So happy for you.
-
Faithie, so good to have you stop by with your beautiful photos. We've missed you.
-
I ladies up early today took my meds for second round of chemo and now I can't sleep. Keep me in prayer today that everything goes well Thanks and God Bless
-
lynnia, if it was Decadron, that's a steroid...come on over and clean my house for me, will you? ehehheheehhehee It's like speed, apparently.
-
Hmm, I didn't get any pre-meds other than Emend. The Benedryl during chemo wiped me out for at least 24 hours. I could have used something to give me energy.
Will keep you in my prayers, Lynniea.
-
JO-5 - awesome words to that song. I've never heard it before. I'm often in a position where I need the calming till the storm passes by.
Thank you for sharing that. You are very thoughtful!
-
Hi ladies everything went well. A little over stimulated but back on course. They put some avian in my iv felt much better. And God took care of the rest.
-
Glad you made it through better this time, Lynniea/
-
You and God are doing a very good job of it all lynniea!! What a team!!
-

Hi my Garden Girls.
I'm mad today. A friend of mine, age 40, 2 daughters, no family history, has been diagnosed with IDC, stage 2. She's meeting with the BS (same one I had) this coming Thursday. Her name is Julee & she is a follower of Christ. Please add her to the list. Her attitude is great, which we know is half the battle!
This is the 1st person in my immediate sphere of friends & acquaintances that's been diagnosed since I've fought my battle. Please include in your prayers wisdom for myself, that I can be of help & comfort.
Thanks gals. Love ya. Have a great weekend.

Joni, im prayin for your friend,Julee... so sorry for her dx. its' so hard with our friends, 'cause we know the road ahead of them..(to a point)
I actually talked to my sister, Rae, on the phone today. she said to thenk all of you for your prayers. it was a short call, her trach is still sore from being tubed, but she's home, and breathing SOOO much better... no "whistles " over the phone. im grateful to all of you, and to GOD.. im not ready for anything to happen to her yet....i want to be able to visit w/her!
i did finally get a Dr. to listen to me, and she saw the MRSA tests.. couldn'tbelieve they hadn't started antibiotics. she was willing to call my GP, and insist on hosp. to get iv antis. we agreed id try oral 1st. if it doesn't make a BIG difference, plans are i'll go in next wk for the Big guns... she wanted to know if he was waiting till i dies before he did something... she said she was calling him later today "to update" him, and chew him out, im sure.. so, i'll be feeling better soon...finally. its' been a great day all around. thanks again for your love and support. 3jays

So glad you have someone who listened, 3Jays! Sometimes I feel bad when I "tell on" a doctor, but we have too much on the line not to.
Will keep Julee in my prayers. And giving you a big virtual hug, Joni!
Loved the song, Faithroad. I listened to it 3 times! I planted two lilac bushes in 2005. I bought them online and they were supposed to be 1 year old, but when they came they were bare root and maybe 4" including roots. They are now about 30 inches tall, but still not blooming! Lilacs always seemed to herald Spring. I remember in my childhood how the monarch butterflies loved the lilac bush in front of our house.
-
I'm still here. Are you?
-
Hi Joni, yes, I'm here and had the grands all day with us. When they didn't leave this earth, I knew no one would. Of course, It is not 6:00 pm where you are yet
-
Need prayer very sore from the nulasta shot bone pain. Thanks
-
oh lynniea, I'm sorry to hear that. I had 4 of those neulasta shots & never had a problem. They gave them to me in the stomach! I hope that your pain goes quickly.
-
Lynniea. I heard that if you take Claritin before the shot it helps. I had severe reactions to the shot and was in excruciating pain for three days after each one. I begged them not to give givve me one that last chemo and they said it was my choice, but my wc was very low so I bucked up and took it. There was nothing I could do to get relief from the pain and it felt as if my bones were exploding from the inside out. That said, I feel for you, Lynniea and will pray for relief.
-
I had 4 of them with no problem but the 5th one this time I have been in pain it sure does hurt. Thanks for the prayer
-
lynniea, my first one was a bit of a problem for me but the rest were a breeze. Sorry it's been so rough for you this time around. Prayers and hugs. I always took Claritin anyway and stayed right on it through treatment so maybe that is why I did well with the bone pain.
-
3Jaysmom - Glad your sister is doing better, praise God! So sorry to hear about your friend.
Linniea - Hope you are feeling better soon. I didn't have to do chemo because my onco test store was low enough. My heart goes out to you...and my prayers.
Meece - yes, I love lilacs, they do seem to harold spring, as you say. They are so refreshing and beautiful.
I need to exercise, but lack the energy. maybe a little later.
Have a beautiful Sunday everyone!
-
I love this thread too...always reading, always hoping for a better flower to smell
How do we attach pictures....I want to show you my garden!
-
MRDRN- I found this post with directions on how to post a photo/picture.
http://community.breastcancer.org/forum/31/topic/285062?page=286#post_1891569
You can also do a search on this site with the keyword "Photobucket" and you'll find more posts of people explaining how to do it. I've tried to do it from Facebook but it did not work. I printed out the directions from this post listed above. I haven't tried it yet, but I looks doable.
Have fun. Can't wait to see your garden!!!!

-
MRDRN - I found this post that tells how to post a photo/picture, I copied the directions and posted them below. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds doable. Can't wait to see your garden! Have fun!
These great directions were copied from someone else's post, hope they don't mind?
It is not hard to post pics already on the internet, but when I use photos I have taken myself and are saved on my computer, I used Photobucket as my server source. You can join that for free which you already have. Upload the photos into Photobucket that you want to use. Then, after you have succesfully uploaded to photobucket, while still in Photobucket select the photo. You can resize the photo using photobucket if you want by clicking on the picture. You will see a resize tab on top. Click on that and then click (more options). The size is in pixels...pick something like 600 or less. The width box will fill in itself keeping the aspect ratio correct. After you are done resizing, save it. Under each photo there will be a box that says share this image. Select the second option down that says direct link, and hit copy. It will be a http: link for your photo. (See below)

Then, in BCO Post a Reply box...click the little tree icon up left of the
icon.It will say insert edit image. (See below)
Place your cursor in the box that says Image URL and hit paste (Cntrl V) and your http:/imgage link whatever the name will show up in there. Then under the Alignment options in the same window I usually choose left. Don't worry about the dimensions because you have already resized them with the correct aspect ratio in photobucket. Then just hit insert and see what you see. You might have to play around a bit with it for size options. If it doesn't work...try again....none of us mind..... BCO is set up so that you can't put a photo in a message here from your own hard drive like you can with the avatars. The pic has to be on a server somewhere or internet link to one. Go for it.
