Hello Sisters,
Hope you are all doing good. I am doing wonderful, with some sort of virus and a sinus infection but....today is my 4 year cancerniversary. If it wasn't because of breast cancer, I would not have had the amazing opportunity of meeting many of you......
I do not post often, my life has been kind of crazy lately.....things should start slowing down now for the summer.
I do have to share something exciting with you. I had to go to Chicago last week (place where I caught my virus), I had the great pleasure of having dinner with my roomie Stephanie and LauraGTO....We had a great time and I cannot wait to see them again in Vegas.....Unfortunately Laura had to go home after dinner, Stephanie spent the night and we went to see a play....
Well ladies, I cannot wait to see you again soon.
Love and Hugs
G,
ps. I am having problems with my private messages, it shows I have a new message but when I go and look my inbox is empty. If you sent me a private message, please send it again.
-
Giselle -- the Private Messages seem to be broken -- after you read one it doesn't always reset (and that is why you think you have one when you don't). What play did you see in Chicago and how was it?
-
The play was, "Put the nuns in charge" It was hilarious, I have not laughed that hard in a Long time. Very interactive, mother superior made me cover my cleavage with a Kleenex. It was also great to spend some time with Steph and Laura
Hugs
G.

Hi Ladies!
I saw my onc for my check up. All is good! I think I'm finally getting better since my hyst/bladder surgery. Today was the first day I wasnt in alot of pain. The urologist saw me tuesday and did an exam, he said that what was going on was the bladder sling is too tight. He said it should loosen up over the next couple months. Not real thrilled with that but at least theres no infection. I just hate feeling like I have to pee all the time LOL but on the upside I'm not having too many hot flashes.
Susie I will be thinking great thoughts for you!
Laura glad to see you survived your remodel, LOL. I love the pictures.
Can't wait to see you all
Teresa
-
Suzie, does that mean your surgery has been "bumped" forward cuz I notice you said "when we all hit that door" - are you coming to Vegas!
Teresa, glad you're feeling better and the pain is lessening!
Laura's remodel pics are up? Have to go and have a peek!
-
Just went to check pics and AAAGH! I can't see posts more than a few hours back on FB.....so frustrating!
Terri
-
Yeah the FB page is just messed up. What a shame.
I had the same question -- Susie are you going to come to Vegas afterall?
-
Quick update: Jazzy (horse) got her first blue ribbon on Saturday (1st place) - this was only her 2nd horse show in her life!
I got a clean mammogram yesterday!
My first cousin was diagnosed with DCIS last week. Her sister had breast cancer 10 years ago. Their mother died of colon cancer and their father died of prostate cancer. Cancer runs rampant in our family. I am talking to her through all of this right now.
There is a deadly equine virus that has been detected in Utah - 5 confirmed cases and of course I am scared because there were horses from the infected barn at the horse show this past week. We are taking temperatures twice daily but I am worried about Jazzy as she has a compromised immune system.
So lots of stress again in my life - I am looking forward to better news and of course the trip to Las Vegas!
-
Jancie - Congratulations on first place and clean mammogram!! How come I haven't heard anything on the local news about the equine virus - hope your horses are safe!!
-
Valerie - the virus has been all over the news and in the Salt Lake Tribune - they have been running stories daily on this. I have seen the stories on the 10 pm news - not sure if they have been running it at 5 pm because I don't watch it at that time.
The cost to vet this problem is between $2K and $3K but I have insurance on my horse so if she does come down with it and survives, my out of pocket is only $250 - I talked to my agent today.
So far so good. I dread any calls from my trainer because I am immediately thinking she is calling with bad news. Sort of like getting that call from the radiologist when your biopsy results come back.
-
Jancie - Well I admit I haven't been reading the newspaper - but I usually watch the10 pm news - don't know how I missed it. Here's hoping your horses stay healthy!!
-
Janice-CONGRATS on JAZZY!!! Sorry about your cousin, glad your there for her!!
Laura-looks GRR-EAT, bet your glad it's done!!
Teresa, Yeah your feeling better!!
Things have been a bit tuff lately-shared with a TA TA, but didn't want to spoil Mother's day. My family seems to be having alot of health problems. My Dad's rash now covers 85% of his body & they are sending him to another specialist on Monday-going on for 2 months now & still no answers. A sister might have to have surgery on her wrist, lost complete use of it & one ready to give up on life. Trying to keep their Spirits up with out letting my own family down. You all know how this story goes....when it rains, it pours & we all try our best to be there for our loved ones!!
Girls, I sure hope this means I can come to Vegas with the Surgery now this Monday the 23rd. That gives me plenty of time to heal. Might have to work some special magic to get a room. I check in at 6:30am & suppose to be the 1st surgery. It's been long overdo & can't wait to get it done & be able to wear just normal pants again with out drawstrings or elastic LOL I keep calling it my Medical tummy tuck, what they are calling it ia a wound revision. Being cut up like a pie, vertical & hortizonical...getting rid of all the scar tissue from all the hernia surgeries. Won't look like I'm 8 months pregnant anymore & be free of all the infections I get do to it & be able to do normal stuff day to day...YIPEEEE!!!! I'm told my stay will be about 3 days & then home to rest for 6-8 weeks..but you all know me..I heal rather quickly.
So....I'll be checking in with you all later Send Power Prayers 0:) they help alot
132 can I get a WAHOO HOO
Love you all, hope I didn't miss anyone (((HUGS)))
Take care Chow GOD BLESS
XOXO Susie
-
Susie - That is great news!!! Lots of PV's and prayers coming your way!
-
Susie -- sending you strength and healing vibes!
Jancie -- congrats on the ribbon and the clean mammo and I truly hope your Jazzy does not catch that vrius.
-
Susie - good luck with your surgery!!
Jancie - so I finally did hear about the horse virus on the news last night - they said a horse in Weber County has it - so is it spreading? Hope your horses will be ok.
-
CONGRATS JANCIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I heard you all got to meet in Chicago... that is so cool! What was Steph doing in Chicago?? How fun for you three !
-

Sooo whats going on with the concert in Vegas? Any price info yet?
-
Yes, do tell! We're talking about Elton John, correct? He is one of the very few performers I would see live.
-
I have seen Elton John live before - excellent!
-
Hi All You Lovely TA TA's,
Okay here is the information for Elton John. Ticket prices are $100 and $145. They have 25-30 seats for Saturday, October 1.
I would like to suggest the $145 seats if everyone is a go. Once the date and price is confirmed, I will have two weeks before the money is due for the tickets. I will need to have a check or money order sent to me. I will signe the contrac tand confirm the tickets with my credit card.
This is the information I will need:
1. What ticket price are you willing to go with?
2. Are you able to mail the ticket cost within two weeks?
3. PM me with any questions you may have.
I hope to hear from you all soon. I would like to settle this soon.
(((((Hugs and Prayers)))))
Cheryl
Her is the information on Elton John. The ticket prices that they have seats for 25-30 are either $100 or $145. I am willing to pay $145 for the concert. However, it is what the group decides.
-
Good morning Cheryl - I would be fine with the $145.00 tickets. Put me down for two!
Jane
-
Yes I am in also for 145.00. I am not much of a gambler so Elton will be much worth it..Thanks Cheryl.
Keep me posted.

Elton John update,
I have changed the show date to Sunday, Oct. 2nd, so as to not interfere with the Piano Bar on Saturday night. The Piano Bar is a annual tradition for the TA TAS and can not be messed with.
Show Date: Oct. 2nd
Time: 8:00 pm
Ticket Price: $`145.00
Seat Location: Rear Orchestra Section 3 Row J/K
Since this is a new show for Elton, they do not offer group rates or discount tickets. I tried to receive a discount by explaining that we are all Breast Cancer Survivors on our yearly TA TA visit to Las Vegas. Even tried crying on the phone and no luck. How can they be so heartless?
I would like to provide the booking agent with a count by Tuesday, May 31. Please PM me if you will be attending Elton John. I will then email the address to send the check or money order to for the tickets.
If you have any questions, you may send me a pm or post on this site, if you have my phone no. you may also call me. I hope this answers your questions.
Hugs, Cheryl
-
Great! I definitely do not want to miss the piano bar. I had a blast last year! Can't wait to see Elton live! First time for me.. I need a ticket for me only! My 21 year old daughter and niece aren't interested
but I will have my sisters to sing with. Can't wait.
