Oh my goodness, today is Friday!!!
Who knew?
Friday the 13th, no less!!!
I think everyone who checks in today gets a point for that alone, Fri the 13th!!!
We are on the road yet again.
Today I delivered a 6.5 hour workshop for children's librarians, a few hours from home-base. No scale anywhere to be found..... which may be a good thing?
Fri check-in: 3 points
Weight: who knows? But I continue to fit into my skinny capri's & that's gotta be a good concept.
Water: 7 points
Exercise: I've fallen outta my class-structure and discipline and won't get back there next week either. I think I can give myself 7 points, for daily walks and the like. Looking forward to the structure of 'class' starting in a couple of weeks.
Extra Credit: I've really done my best to get adequate sleep, this week of working excess, as I think that's a big part of the equation. I also made a good choice to steer clear of empty calories in drinks earlier today. One point for 'thinking-thru' such issues & making good choices.
Total: 18 points
Karen!!!! How on earth were we so fortunate to have you assigned to our Hummingbird team? Fifty points!!!! All hail the queen of the points!!!!
Ainm, wondering how you're holding up??
xx00xx00xx00xx
Must edit.
Some of you around here know my goofy 'need' to start a new page with a picture.
Here's a few of my favorite bicycle pictures from our amazing afternoon in the walled village of Lucca, in Italy. Now a few weeks ago:
Time to get active!!
Ride your bike!!!

Faith and Fifty, I knew o2bhealthy and seaside from the Stop Smoking thread and asked to be placed on the hummingbirds team. Found I had time on my hands with quiting and had put on weight from quiting and from the AI's, so I bought a recumbent bike, it was still cold at that point, and started biking. Had to add crunches due to muffin top, not my favorite exercise. I started at 191 and want to drop about 30 pounds. Longest time I have been on a diet and been a non-smoker in forever, due to in large part feeling accountable to my team here and the great group of women on the Stop Smoking thread. Sooo- thats how you got me. And I'm glad to be here, Karen

I feel so far behind, but I will make a comeback. While out of work I know I put on some pounds from eating out of stress. The past three weeks have been busy and happy ones, and I am starting back to the road at 163.0 lbs.
I will get my act in gear and get back to supporting you wonderful ladies as you have supported me.
Pinkie promise!

Point Check:
n3yp: I think you still get the 3 pts for checking in on this Friday.
valgirl: I believe you get 3 pts for a loss and elab low

Checking in -
Weight down .2 - now 178.6, total loss of 19.4 = 2 points
New E-Lab low = 1 point
Exercise = 5 points
Friday check-in = 3 points
Daily water = 7 points
Extra credit = 0 points .
Total = 18 pointsMore points = more weight loss; less points = less weight loss! But I'm thankful for the .2 - at least it's a loss!!!!
It's been quite a week - missed two exercise times due to schedule conflicts! Next week -----eat less, move more!!!! More points, more points, more points!!! I want more points! My goal was 25 # loss and I'm closer than I've ever been! When I get there, I have a new pair of PJ's that I've had for a couple years!!!!Then, I need to re-evaluate my goal and re-set to a new number! And plan a new incentive! This point system is helping me so much! Thanks Meece!

Roadrunner checking in:
3 pts for Friday
0 pts for weight - meant to stop at the gym on the way home from work and totally forgot. At this time of night, once I'm home, I'm home.
5 pts for water - short again
2 measly pts for exercise. Sigh.
Nothing extra - munching chocolate - stress eating
10 pts. Sigh, again.
-
hey birdies, went grocery shopping today and with my basic pedometer logged a MILE walking around the store. Made me think that maybe people are moving more than they think.
Lots of places are doing 10,000 steps program lately. What would you think about adding exercise points for meeting a certain number of steps?
10,000 steps is a lot in a day so maybe 1 pt for 5,000 steps? and 2 pts for 10,000?
It's good to give ourselves credit for something we're already doing. just a thought...
-
Hi All,

Total: 13 pts
Even if very late:
Welcome back faith, Happy Birthday Sheila and Sorry if I missed more events.
Hope we all have a great week.

Stopping by to say hello. Life has been crazy since all the storms have passed and the clean up from the tornadoes here has begun. It was my DH 50th birthday, then Mother's Day, and then decorations at my step dads and MawMaw's grave sites. Plus you add to that all the hours I have had to work trying to catch up at work because we have had no computers to do our work on and there has been no time for dieting. You eat what you can eat when you can eat. Unfortunately I haven't lost any weight and haven't, as I said, been dieting or exercising. It's so funny I had just gotten back on the wagon and then life fell apart here in Cullman, AL with all the tornadoes that rolled through. I'm not complaining because there are so many people that lost so much on the horrible day. Please continue to remember all of them in prayer, especially the ones that lost loved ones. It's hard, I wish I could show you the devastation that happened here in my home town... words can't even describe!
Love to you all and please say a prayer for me that I can get back in the swing of things and get back on my diet.
Renee

(((Renee)))
Badger I always count my shopping as exercise, how else do you think I rack up all my exercise points
Hi MaiTai!
Shelia - thinking of you!
-
Renee, prayers headed your way right now! First things first, right? Please take care, you know you will get back in the swing of things as you are able. {{hugs}}
-
Hi All,
Renee, prayers from the holy land.
As badger said, first things first. The wagon waits for you
.
-
MaiTai, I think we should have t-shirts printed:
"The wagon waits for you."
Brilliant.
At the very least we could have bumper stickers printed.
Meecie?
Can you get us some bumper stickers?
Profound.
Truly, Renee..... there are seasons when the focus must be on the moment-to-moment.
Adding some prayers.
This is a photo I took in Italy and the Cathedral in Milan. I've added it to several threads, but perhaps it will bring some solace here as well.
I lit a candle and said prayers for all of us.
It was such a profound experience, to see all the candles lit on Easter afternoon:
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
